Axis Brain and Back Institute, PLLC advertises testimonials.
BBB Code of Advertising states in general, that advertising which uses testimonials or endorsements is likely to mislead or confuse if it is not genuine and does not actually represent the current opinion of the endorser. If a consumer's experience represented in an advertisement is not the typical experience of those using the product or service, unless the advertisement clearly and conspicuously discloses what the expected results will be.
BBB verified some of the testimonials but could not verify all of the testimonials on their website. BBB requested Axis Brain and Back Institute, PLLC to substantiate the testimonials and provide evidence supporting the typical results reflected in their advertisement.
Axis Brain & Back Institute, PLLC advertises experimental therapies including autologous conditioned serum (ACS) and Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate.
BBB’s Code of Advertising states advertisersare responsible for truth and non-deceptive advertising. Advertisers should be able to providesubstation upon request. Advertisingthat may mislead or deceive consumers should be avoided.
BBB requested objective, competent, and reliable scientific evidencesubstantiating the advertised claims and efficacy of ACS and BMAC including any studies that include randomized controlled trials or discontinue advertising these claims.Additionally, AxisBrain and Back Institute, PPLC advertises the offer of Exosome Therapy.
BBB found there are currently no approved therapies using exosomes and due to the concern about the potential serious risks and side effects associated with Exosome Therapy requested Axis Brain and Back Institute, PLLC to provide objective, competent, and reliable scientific evidence substantiating the efficacy of exosome therapy or discontinue advertising these claims.
As of March 21, 2025, Axis failed to respond to BBB's requests.
