In August 2021, I gave Lasco $19k to remodel my kitchen. Things started off good, they did a 3D rendering of my kitchen and things seemed to be moving along. I tried following up multiple times throughout the remainder of 2021 and would receive limited answers. Finally in February 2022, I got some progress and they came out and began to demo the kitchen. Once demo beings, they first asked for an extra $15k to continue work. I refused to pay and someone came out and looked again. They determined that it would cost me around $6k to do the plumbing work and insulation work that should have been in my scope of work to begin with. It takes 2-3 weeks for them to give me a simple breakdown of the costs. Since I have been waiting since August to get this done, I reluctantly decide to pay them. After payment, they have a plumber come out and fix the plumbing according to our project's plan and am told that framing will commence in a few days. After a few days go by, I follow up and don't hear back for a few more weeks. Then I get the plumber who comes back out to start the framing part of our project. This ended up being the final straw. I do not trust Lasco to complete my project in a timely manner nor do I expect it to be up to simple building standards. I have reached out and asked for my money back and have been told that the previous owner of the company has it and they are trying to get it from him among other evase answers. They have been responsive, and have expressed interest in paying the money back, but I don't trust them. I have no desire to wait around while they hold over $20k of my money for work they have not done. I have attached the email I sent them detailing the calculation of what money I want back. This pictures I've included has been the status of my kitchen for over a month and is the current status. They have not performed hardly any actual work. This has been a HORRIBLE experience and I want my money back.
