If you want a professional Asphalt job done, DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY!! About 18 months ago I hired Asphalt Maintenance & Construction to repave my driveway. Since the very beginning I had issues and those issues continued for the entire 18 months. I should have been more observant when they cut their original bid by $3,000 (24%) knowing they would cut material costs and labor to make up for the difference. When they were finished, they used false excuses for some issue, or advised me that what was pointed out would correct itself after drying time or application of sealant. They were rude, lacked respect for my property and did a horrible job repaving my drive.Here is a list of issues we had... 1.) Areas of the driveway had 1/2 inch or less of asphalt! 2.) Cracking was apparent in several areas has continued to worsen for the past 18 months the driveway seems to be falling apart 3.) There was loose asphalt rock in several large areas of the driveway 4.) A parking area of my driveway looked as if it was patched and was uneven (over **** Square Feet) 5.) They paved the driveway higher than the gutter drain spout that dumps into the drive 6.) They came out and sealed the drive ... half of the drive looks faded a while the other is black 7.) They paved new asphalt halfway over plant pot bases along the drive 8.) I discovered that parts of the old driveway the cut out was thrown into the water over my seawall when the water level went down The list goes on and includes not cleaning up after the job was done. When they asked for payment, they gave no receipt and asked the check not be made out to the company but to him personally... *******************. Very suspicious I did advise the company of these issues and they did not correct them. I would not recommend Asphalt Maintenance & Construction to anyone, and I don't know how they stay in business the way they treat their customers IF YOU ARE THINKING OF USING THEM....BE AWARE!!!
