I recently moved form ** to ** and had my car transportation done via service "Shine Auto Movers LLC". To my understanding this is brokerage service . They initially told $850 and then after I paid $100 initially. Then after few days told only with $1300 this is possible. At this point I realized they are playing so I asked other service, even drivers directly who also told $1300 for this service. Since I have already paid $100 which they told they cannot return back if I cancel at this time I went with them. I asked them multiple times in phone call whether $1300 is the final price. They said yes for this question for sure. Then a driver came home and picked my car. Driver seems nice and communicated good through out the process until delivery. After the driver picked the car the broker again asked $300 to be paid then only they can make the delivery. At this point I was totally frustrated and asked them to cancel. They said they cannot cancel since car is in transit (which I dont believe at this time and the drive who came to pickup the car also confirmed that he didnt get clearence from broker to start driving). If I delay paying then the car delivery will be delayed further. Date I initially paid $100 via credit card: Dec 9 2024 Additional $200 on they day of pickup my car via credit card: Dec 31 2024 Another $300 via credit card on: Jan 1 2025 Final payment to driver via cash: $1000 (This one I think its legitimate since the driver was very nice)Note: The driver mentioned a **** is not a involved in this complaint since he is only driver and this complaint is about ************** **************************. Name: ****** ****** ********************************************* and other person ***** ******, not sure whether the name is also correct.Business Response

As a representative from Shine Auto Movers LLC. Im replying this complaint because it is false acquisition on our companys reputation. We successfully provided the service to Mr. ******** We communicated at every point, The agent who was working on this order have provided me all the details of the order and I have investigated thoroughly. Everybody know that quoted price in the transportation industry is estimated. We have also mentioned it in the contract that we sign with the customers. I can share it here as well Due to the ever-changing and shifting auto transportation landscape, Carrier availability and pricing are subject to change, & client understands & agrees that there is no guarantee of exact final price as pricing for shipment varies on every load/daily basis, if this happens Shine Auto Movers LLC will make all possible efforts to locate a secondary option for client and we did the same, we tried our absolute best to get the best price from the carrier company, We negotiated with a lot of carrier companies to meet the customers budget. As he stated in the complain as well. That he checked with other companies as well for the price and some drivers as well. They all gave him the same price that we get after a lot of negotiation. He decided and gave us a consent to send the driver by signing the updated contract for agreed price of $1300 at the delivery. We send the driver as we promised, he picked up the vehicle and safely delivered it at the destination and as per our contract he paid us our broker fee of $300 after the services according to the contract. We always work according to the contract. With the change in industry, Prices do change at some point but we as broker always make sure to get the best deal to meet the customers need. If the price change we try our best to communicate with customers and explain them the whole situation. From that point we only can move forward with the consent of customer because now its his call to go with the options we are providing or to deny them.Initial Complaint

Shine Auto Movers LLC gave me a quote to ship a motorcycle from ******** to ***** for a total amount of $600.00 which is all inclusive. The first ****** broke down and could not even make the delivery. So they had to find another ******, but he wanted an additional $150 for the delivery which I almost had to pay at the time if I were to even get my bike delivered. At the time of pick-up, I needed to pay $104 for the ******, and at the time of drop-off, I had to pay a balance of $500, that was our original deal. The ****** shows up to pick up the bike and the shipping company tells me that I owe an additional $312 for brokerage fees, which they never ever mentioned in the agreement!!! So that is my complaint about this shipping company-$312 that was not ever mentioned! So as far as I am concerned, they need to be put out of business! Hope you can help or at least get the word out about them! Thank you. **** E. ********.Business Response

We had gave him price and schedule his pickup as per his schedule and with his consent, he signed a contract and its written on the contract about the services fee. Hes agreed on price with the terms and condition of the contract. He took the services and its written on the contract of services fee and we charged it once we provide the services after picking up the vehicle.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: Shine Auto Movers LLC quoted me a price of $600.00 - ALL INCLUSIVE- to pick up a motorcycle
in ******** and deliver it to me in *****, *****. It wound up costing me around $1,100. That is not $600.00!!! Thank you.Business Response

Complaint Against Roadrunners Auto Transport I was quoted $750 to transport a wrecked **** F150 from ************, **, to *********, **. On August 29, I paid Roadrunners $575, including $150 for transport and $380 for tow yard fees. They were supposed to pick up the truck from ****************** on Friday and pay the tow yard directly, as it only accepts cash. However, Roadrunners claimed they sent five drivers, but none could pick up the truck due to conflicting instructions on pricing and whether an open or closed bed was needed. This caused delays, and no progress was made that day.Throughout Friday, they requested more money$200 for a closed truck, then $625but despite paying, the truck was never picked up. By Saturday, the owner demanded another $1,000, making it clear I was being ********** total, we paid Roadrunners $1,400, but they neither transported the truck nor paid the tow yard fees. Due to delays, the tow yard fees tripled, and an extra $250 was charged for title retrieval. This wouldnt have happened if the truck had been picked up as promised.Roadrunners should have known what type of truck was needed and advised accordingly. My wife, ********* ********, reversed the $575 payment on her credit card, but no resolution was offered for the $825 paid through Venmo. The truck was never transported, and the tow yard fees were never paid. This company, also known as ************, has a history of scamming consumers, as evident by numerous lawsuits. A copy of this complaint is being filed with the ******************************************* and Consumer Affairs, as recommended by the BBB.Customer Answer

********* and *******,
I am not sure why I did not think of this on the phone, but every broker must have a $75,000 bond in place in order to be in this business. I think the best way to get your money back is to put in a claim with their bond company. I pulled their bond information from the ***** website:
84 SURETY ALLEGHENY CASUALTY COMPANY ACC006003047 10/02/2023 $0 $75,000* 09/27/2023 11/03/2024

You can give them the name Road Runners Auto Transport, and the Policy number is ACC006003047. If they ask, the *** number is *******, and their MC number is MC *******. Best of luck and please keep me posted.
