In summary, Aamco ripped the transmission out voiding my warranty coverage. I didn't have transmission problems, because it was an electrical issue, but they wanted to charge me ***** for a "diagnostic" which ripped out the transmission voiding my warranty!!! They lied claiming I okayed this "diagnostic" on a recored phone line. This is far from the truth!!! I had given them my warranty policy number and phone numbers so they could get the cost of repairs covered by my warranty company and they never mentioned ***** for a diagnostic which is preposterous! After they ripped out the transmission (that didn't have any problems) they demanded ***** to fix it, or put my car in storage. I was frantic at this point and called the police because my car had been stollen. I couldn't get to work, my car payments went into default and the car was repossessed giving this crooked Aamco an easy ***** from the bank when it was repossessed. They are liars and thieves and it stressed out my family because my husband is retired and can no longer work and that was the only working car we had and if I had taken it to the Jeep dealership, they would have been honest and used my warranty to cover the repairs which were electrical and not transmission issues. I am appalled and disgusted and without transportation and bankrupt because of this evil Aamco that is supposed to be a preferred vendor for my my warranty company. Aamco knows what they are doing voiding out warranties by ripping cars apart before the third party inspector can verify what needs to be fixed. It is highway robbery, and I hope this lady goes to prison for forging people's signatures that she claims okayed "diagnostics" which void out their warranties. Aamco then slaps on outrageous prices that are more more than triple.

This is probably one of the worst experiences I have had, and I have been having (my car is still there) in the past 20 years. Or maybe ever.My car was at this location at the end of December to take care of the transmission under extended warranty. After 2 weeks and $ 300+ of car rental expenses I finally had the car. On 02/16 the engine light came back on. At first, the problem seemed related to the transmission and therefore under Aamco limited warranty, but eventually this engine control module issue came up, and, apparently out of spite, a new claim was started. This after 7 days, $ 330+ of rental, and still counting. Every time I called to ask about the timing and conditions and if it was ready I have been told "it needs to be re-programmed". I was told on Thursday the 22nd of February to go back on Friday to pick up the car at 2:00 PM. When I got to the shop, after a 50-minute walk, I was told the car needed to be re-programed. ????I waited about 3 hours until the Lock&Smith guy, who was supposed to re-program the anti-theft system, informed us through phone call he would have been at the shop in the morning, therefore compromising my working day.Never received a call throughout Saturday. The level of carelessness and disrespect have been incredible. After 10 days, 2 walks of 50 minutes and increasing rental expenses, the nightmare continues. To add insult to injury the car has new scratches in the bumper, but nobody at the shop knows anything.

I took my vehicle in for a warranty repair on 6/8/23 to the AAMCO on Industrial Blvd. Driver's Edge recommended them since they knew the problem was with the transmission. We dropped the car off at 7:30am, using the key drop option as instructed by them when we called them on 6/7/23. I did not receive a call about the car until Wednesday the 14th when they asked me about a wheel lock. I asked them for an update while on that call and was told they would call me at the end of the day with an update. I called for an update on Friday since I still had not heard back from them, They said they were waiting on ************ to respond. I called GWC and they confirmed that they already replied to them w/in the hour of receiving the invoice. They had approved the initial invoice but were waiting on a signed invoice (by me) stating I agreed with the charges. It was too late on Friday for me to go up after work and they were closed on the weekends. When I arrived on Monday morning, I felt a little funny about the charges on the invoice and was told I would have over 3K out of pocket. I have a warranty that should cover it all. I took pics of the invoice so I could talk w/ GWC about it. They confirmed that AAMCO was overcharging on parts and labor and also had unnecessary charges. I am running out of space to finish the story but I had the police assist me in getting my car released because they will not let me take it to another facility unless I pay them $1,500 cash. I felt like I shouldn't leave my vehicle so I sat up at the shop all day. They called the cops on me trying to get me arrested for criminal trespass, which the cops told them they cannot do since my vehicle is there. They will not accept payment on debit card and I shouldn't have to pay them anyway since they did no actual repair. They are charging that amount for the *** and they didnt have authorization from me to do the ***. They said they have a recording of me authorizing but will not produce it

On April 7, 2023, we took our Jeep to Aamco in ****** due to transmission issues. Before taking it to the shop, the transmission light stayed on and the red lightening bolt symbol inside of backwards parentheses was on too. We were told the transmission was bad and to stop driving it. We were also told that the red lightening bolt symbol was likely on because of the transmission issues. We received our Jeep back on April 8, 2023. The no Jeep drove fine for two days and that was the beginning of more issues. We called Aamco and told them of the issue, and they asked that we bring it in and that they would do an extensive overview and tests so that they could fix the problem. We got the Jeep back and were having the same issuesafter this, we have had issues with the Jeep starting, shaking and as of 5/30, the red lightening bolt symbol continues to flash and slowed down while we were in traffic! Thankfully we could coast into a parking lotit couldve been bad if we were on the highway. As of 5/31 the Jeep is not drivable, yet Aamco is asking us to bring the Jeep to the shophow?!we are also making patients for the so called new transmission payment and we dont even have a drivable vehicle! My husband is in training for his new job and weve had to get an Uber there and back which is $50 a daythat is insane! We dont have another vehicle so we are in bad shape right now. I do not recommend this shop to anyway. I am very surprised as this is generally a reputable company. I have contacted a lawyer and have also contacted corporate.

I dropped my car off in the morning of Monday, March 20. At 12:40 p.m., they called to let me know that there was a bigger issue and that they needed more time to diagnose the problem.March 21 - They tell me the issue was the engine wire harness. The warranty folks confirmed this. I get another call about the part needed for this repair and was told that it was on backorder.I didn't hear a single thing from the shop until I called them again on Monday, March 27. At this point, they had my car for a full week. I called them to find out that the part was supposed to arrive sometime that day, and they were waiting for it.March 29 - I called in and find out that the part had just arrived at the shop.April 3 - I call again at 12:32 p.m. ******* tells me that she'll give me a call back after she talks to the person working on my car. I never hear back from them for the rest of the day.April 4 - I call again at 2:02 and 2:06 p.m. and leave a voicemail. I text my partner, he calls them at 2:09. Magically, they answer the phone. They tell him our car will be ready on Wednesday April 5 - AAMCO Corp calls me and advises they'll talk to the shop. They report they'll be done Friday afternoon by 3 pm.April 7 - I called (after corporate made contact) and they say "We should be done by close. We have to test everything." I get a call at 4:15, telling me there are more issues, but to come pick up my car. After all of this: THE *** IS STILL DOING THE EXACT SAME THING I TOOK IT IN FOR. IT STILL IS BLOWING ROOM TEMPERATURE AIR. To add, I now have a bunch of mysterious scratches and dings on my car.April 8 - We wake up to find every emergency light on in my vehicle. The speedometer doesn't show the speed, and the *** light is on. I take my car back, and they reset the computer. I have since found out they were paid to work on my car on March 27. They kept my car for a total of 3 weeks and did not fix the issue at all. I paid for Ubers and Lyfts for 3 weeks to get around.

I was quoted $250 for front and back brakes and $220 for an axle to be replaced, and I agreed to do it. When I showed up tonight to get the car, suddenly it was $250 for the front and $250 for the back brakes on top of the cost of the axle. I said that was not my understanding and the manager ******************* told me they record every phone call. I asked him to please play it so we can hear whet it says, he said that would take too long and then got very upset, took my keys into his office and told me I can pay it or get out of his shop. I said the issue was I was just was not prepared to pay an extra $250.I said I would just go ahead and pay the extra and then he said he would not accept my credit card, I had to pay cash or cashiers check!! I asked if he would just take my card so we can be done with all of this and he said only with cash or he would put a mechanics lien on my car. He said I was a grown a** man and I should know there is no way brakes would only cost $250!I feel like I am being held hostage, my car is at the shop because they closed before I could get cash and I really dont even want to go back up to deal with this. This is definitely not the way a reputable business like Aamco should be behaving. Seems very shady to charge more than quoted, to refuse to play the recording and then insist on cash.Dropped the car off on 9/19/22 and tried to pick it up on 9-23-22.
