Located in the Sun City of El Paso, Texas, Volar CIL has been providing services and support to people with disabilities and their support network. The center is one of 16 CILs in Texas that provides services focused upon maintaining or enhancing a person’s level of independence. The majority of individuals working at the center have disabilities. Every staff member will share their knowledge with those who have recently acquired disabilities, young adults with disabilities, parents, caregivers, and profit and nonprofit organizations.

To promote independence for the disabled of El paso County and Region 10 in the State of Texas by offering four core services to our consumers, (1) Independent Living Skill, (2) Information and referral, (3) Individual and systems Advocacy (4) Peer Counseling. Internet appeals.
Volar CIL advocates human and civil rights. We promote and develop community options and empower people with diverse disabilities to live the lives they choose. More than half of the staff at Volar CIL are people living with disabilities who make decisions in agency policy and service delivery.
As we look towards a future where society accommodates and fosters inclusion, Volar CIL will continue to support people with disabilities to make their individual life choices and pursue the American dream.
Our commitment to addressing disability issues at multiple levels of society includes staying alert to the latest policy development and laws that affect the lives of people with disabilities.
