(Problem Description)I purchased a firearm from a gun store in ***** as an out-of-state buyer from **********. At the time of purchase, I was charged for the firearm and assured that everything required for the transfer process would be completed. However, several issues have since arisen:(Delays and Lack of Communication)After the purchase, I received no updates on the transfer for over one and a half weeks. Despite reaching out to the store, they failed to provide any meaningful information about the progress of transferring the firearm to an FFL in my state, ***********Contradictory Requirements and Unreasonable Burden:I was later informed that I needed to drive 1.5 hours to another city in ***** to sign additional paperwork. This requirement was not disclosed at the time of purchase.During this second visit to the store, I was assured by the staff that all paperwork had been completed and there was nothing further required of me.(False Claim of Delivery)After receiving no updates, I initiated a chargeback with my bank. The merchant responded to the dispute by falsely claiming to my bank that the firearm had already been delivered to me. They also submitted paperwork to the bank to support this claim, even though I have not received the firearm and it has not been transferred to an *** in my state.(Retaliatory Fees and New Demands)Following the chargeback, the store began making additional demands, claiming I never signed required paperwork and now forcing me to return to the store a third time to resolve the issue. This contradicts their earlier assurance during my second visit that all requirements had been met.The store has also imposed a fee on me for initiating the chargeback, which was not part of the original purchase agreement.

On April 24, 2024 at 1:30 PM, I went into Gun Central to ask for a receipt for a gun I had purchased there. I was told that they did not have my gun purchase in their computer and that it must be on file somewhere in the back in their storage. I was then asked by ***** did I know when I purchased the gun to which I explicitly kept telling him no I did not. He kept pushing for a date so I gave him a round about date but I was very specific and kept telling him that I do not know when the gun was purchased at all. He told me it would be $25.00 for looking for the receipt and that I should give him a week to find the receipt and I said ok. I went back to Gun Central on Friday, May 2, 2024, because I had not heard from them and I was told by ***** that once they located the receipt he would fax me and send the receipt by email. I thanked him and I left. ***** then called me about 4:00 PM and told me that he was not able to find the receipt and that because he was not able to find the receipt and I did not have an exact date of purchase for the gun, that I would have to pay Gun Central $25.00 for every time I asked for a receipt because I did not know the exact date. I explained to him that I purchased the gun years ago and it is not my responsibility to keep the records on file, it is his companies. He told me that it is the rules of Gun Central and if I wanted him to look for the gun that I needed to come bring him $25.00 and that if he didn't find it for that day, that I would have to pay him $25.00 for every time he looked for the gun receipt until I gave him the correct date. I told him that I have the receipt and on the receipt, it does not say anywhere that I have to pay $25.00 each time that I ask for a receipt, I paid $25.00 for Gun Central to look up my receipt and give it to me and I think that is what should happen. I asked could I speak to someone else and he told me no because he was in charge, so therefore I didn't get to speak to anyone else.
