I was a Co-signer on the lease for my son, Kemka Anamekwe for Unit #***B from August 2021 - July 2023 at The Ridge Apt. while in college.The Ridge charged Kemka Anamekwe for damages that were present in the apartment at the time he moved in, and were never repaired. I was appalled at the non-habitable and delapidated condition of unit #***B where my son lived. It was run down, neglected, and in total disrepair, and it took over 8 months for any repairs to be initiated by the Mgt.On move-in day, I had to pin a bedsheet to my son's window to give him some privacy, as the blinds were broken. He placed a work order for multiple issues, which never got repaired. It was quite annoying to visit him and to see how he basically had to make do with bad, and malfunctioning amenities/ appliances.Here is my list of all the damaged tems in Unit #*** as of August 2021 1. Damaged blinds in *****'s room - Never fixed 2. Damaged fan bulb and wobbly fan in *****'s room - eventually fixed 3. Lifted Carpet corner near desk in Kemka's room - Never fixed 4. Closet shelf support absent in *****'s room - Never fixed 5. Closet door off the rail in *****'s room - Never fixed 6. The door lock in *****'s room was faulty with the wrong key assigned - Eventually fixed 7. Microwave without a handle to pull it open in the kitchen - Eventually fixed 8. Dryer which was missing a vent hose - Eventually fixed 9. Faulty washer - Eventually replaced 10. Tattered and ripped couch in the living room - Eventually replaced.And a host of other complaints in his roommate's rooms.The damages charged to his account by The ********************** were present at the time of moving in.I was responsible for paying the rent while he lived there, and I am requesting a full refund of the security deposit of $200 paid to The Ridge. The current management was not the group that rented to ***** and his roommates.Multiple attempts to reach The Ridge have been ignored despite speaking to a Manager -named ****** on 12/08/23.
