I had my gastric surgery on 7/11/17. Right after the surgery there was no stomach restriction with my liquid diet. I didn’t have any problems eating any thing. I informed the nurses at the time of my concern and was told that it was because it was a liquid diet. When I progressed to soft foods still no restriction. I called and informed the office again regarding my concerns and was told it would happen. When I finally progressed to solid foods, I was able to eat whatever I wanted because there was no restriction. It had not impeded my appetite and actually has made it worse. I called around my 6 month check up and was told I would get checked to see if my pouch had stretched. I attended that appt and was told that I just might have that type of body that doesn’t lose weight quickly. They did not check my pouch. It's been four years and I have only lost 30-36 lbs due to the liquid diet which I gai. I am disappointed because I feel as if I wasted my money and time. I followed the diet, got my protein and water in and no results. I have gastric reflux that has gotten worse and the doctor was supposed to repair the hernia. I have contacted My Bariatric solutions again and was sent in for a barium swallow study in which there was not any issues with the sleeve. The reason I am filing this complaint now is because I recently had an EGD completed at my gastroenterologist and found out that I never had a hernia repair done which is inconsistent with what the physician at My Bariatric Solutions told me. I now have doubts that they performed the surgery at all. I would like a refund or to have the surgery redone due to the ineffectiveness of the surgery.
