On 5/25 I purchased a 2014 ****** Pathfinder for $10k and I was told there was no issues with it, that there was no accident history, and that it was in good working mechanical order. 5 days later on 5/30 Im at ******************* dealership being told its going to cost me $7k for a new transmission. ****** said the transmission was severely slipping and there was a serious transfer case leak. I called asking that Texas Drive Auto at least pay for half the repairs since it was less than a week since I left the lot. I trusted that they didnt know about it and that they would offer to at least pay something as an act of good faith.Unfortunately, they said all their cars are sold as is and it was my problem now. They would not pay a cent of the profits they made off of me to help get me back on the road no matter how much I begged.I had a couple of conversations with an employee named ****. Hes the one who sold me the vehicle. He claimed that he spoke to his boss, the mysterious owner of the business, and that he was adamant that these cars were sold as is and that used cars are risky and you never know what youre gonna get since they buy them at auction in Lewisville. He would not let me speak to the owner or give me his contact info. Texas Drive Auto has made no effort whatsoever to help my situation, apologize for the defective car, or offer to contribute towards any repairs. They also did not disclose to me information regarding the vehicle history, including damage to the front end and codes being thrown by the vehicle that appeared in the 5 days since taking possession of the vehicle. It is my suspicion that these issues were purposely hidden and they may be doing the same with other customers.
