Landlord Station may be good for landlords, but it is not at all good for tenants. If you pay rent through your bank account on **************************, they require that you submit a form with all of your bank information, which is, of course, needed for them to pull the monthly rent from your account. The problem is that after you submit the form, they send you a full, unredacted copy of the form containing all of your personal information via unsecured e-mail. This terrible business practice makes it easy for hackers to access tenants' bank accounts, forcing tenants to take extraordinary precautions to protect their accounts. When this first happened to me, I contacted Landlord Station and was assured that it was the result of human error, and would not happen again. When I had to renew my lease, I was required by Landlord Station to submit a new bank information form. I submitted it, thinking the problem had been resolved, but it had not. Once again, I received an unredacted copy of the form via unsecured e-mail. Clearly they have not fixed this problem. I have again contacted Landlord Station regarding this issue, but have not yet received a response.I would highly recommend that if your landlord asks you to use this site, and you want to pay via your bank account, you request another method of payment that does not use Landlord Station.
