      Last year I signed up to run in a ** in ******* (22nd annual legal runaround on September 9 2023). All I intended to do was pay for the registration ($39.53) which can be seen on the attached photo. I did not intend to enroll in an ACTIVE Advantage Membership, but I was automatically enrolled in a trial period. I received no email to tell me I was enrolled in a trial period, and then I was charged for a 1 year membership on October 6 ($99.95). I did not know I was enrolled, so I did not use any of its benefits. I ran the race again next year ($25). I still received no notice that I had a 1 year membership to ACTIVE. I was recharged a 1 year membership automatically again October 6th ($99.95). I saw it and cancelled the membership. This was a deceitful move by the ACTIVE network to automatically enroll me into a trial and charge me for a 1 year membership without any email notice. I am looking for a refund on the 2 memberships which I did not use once.

      I have sent this company two separate emails regarding canceling my membership with a recurring charge each year of $99.95 and have had no response from them. The first email was sent on March 29, 2024 and the second was September 18, 2024. There is no way to contact this company because when I called the number listed, I'm instructed to send an email. I just want my membership cancelled and the recurring amount not to be charged any longer to my credit card.

      Much like everyone else in these reviews, I was scammed by this company. Oct 7, 2024 I was charged $99.95 for an ACTIVE Advantage membership I did not sign up for and did not consent to. I have signed up for a running race through ACTIVE which is how I'm assuming they got my information, but I always unchecked any boxes related to marketing and subscription options. I am aware the business currently in litigation for defrauding other customers in the same way. My account is under this email and I have sent pictures of the receipt I was emailed. Thank you! I have attached the charge I got that was not approved and the receipt from what I actually paid for .

      I have been charged an Activework annual membership fee of $99.95 that I did not sign up for. All attempts to reach customer service through the following phone numbers have been unsuccessful: *****************-228-4881, and ************. Last year, I emailed the address provided by Active Advantage ********************************************* to discontinue membership but received no response.Please take action to stop this companys predatory practices of charging unknowing customers credit cards without their consent.

      I am rejecting this response because:   Unable to Reach any agent.   Like many attempts before,  these phone number and emails are ALL DEAD ENDS.  Very deceptive and predatory business practice.    Would recommend all camps and sporting groups stay away from Active Works.  Protect your consumers.

      9/1/0/2024 Unauthorized charge by auto enrolling into their Active Advantage membership trial.The site is used for registering and paying for community events like bike a thons, etc.The charge was for $99.95.I have already emailed the company ****************************** and disputed the charge to my CC company.The BBB has over a thousand complaints against the company for this deceptive and dishonest auto enrollment practice. *************************************************************************************************************************************************

      On 9/24/24, I was charged $99.95 to ACTIVE Network, LLC. After research, I learned that this is a result of signing up for the *********** Half Marathon scheduled for 12/7/24. I have used ACTIVE in the past to register for the same marathon. This is the first year that I was charged. It is a result of signing up for a membership. However, since this wasn't my first experience with ACTIVE, I did not realize that after a 30 day "trial period" for the membership, I would be charged the $99.95. I explained this to ACTIVE, who responded that I agreed to the terms. I believe this is a complete deceptive business practice. As an avid runner who has enjoyed the *********** series for years, I am now reluctant to pay for this headache in the future.

      Like hundreds of people have reported here, I was a victim of this company's shady "free trial" tactics. I have to use active for registration and payment of my child's sports fees. During sign up, this company slips their "free trial" in a chaotic page full of text and boxes. I in no way willing agreed to pay $99.95/year for a membership I'll never use. A few days ago I see the $99.95 charge and it is billed as random mix of letters and numbers with no hope of figuring out easily who the charge came from. I only figured it out because ****** lead me to hundreds of reddit posts about this companies scams. After finally figuring out where to cancel the membership I did NOT sign up for, I emailed the company. They got back relatively quickly saying they "can" refund me but would I rather have a $25 gift card. No .. I just want my refund. I replied back that I just want my money refunded and now I've received no reply from them at all.
