    My complaint is regarding a ban that was made as an error. I did not have my account public or accessible for matching and then later I downloaded the application but after a couple of months not using the app I redownloaded it and found that I have received a unjustified, full ban on all my match group accounts. After redownloading the app I was able to utilize the app as normal until I got a pop up to accept a new terms agreement. That is when I believe the system made an error. After accepting the new terms pop up my account was immediately banned. This banned is not warranted and to what I believe to be a bug in terms data because I have never violated any terms or conditions of match group or its affiliates.I also want to emphasize that I will take legal action of the unwarranted bans against me are not removed. If necessary I will have my counsel communicate further with match groups outside council.To summarize, I was harmfully banned for no breach of any policy or community guidelines. I have suffered greatly due to the unfair and unjust nature of these bans and would like to have them removed so I may be a terms abiding user once again.

    My account on ********************** was banned suddenly, with no explanation. As such, I can no longer contact a number of individuals I met through the application, causing me undue harm. My guess is that this ban is a software glitch or some other sort of honest mistake, as I did not violate the terms of service in any obvious way and had no particularly hostile or problematic interactions, either online or offline, with anyone I've met so far through Tinder.I would like request that Tinder review the ban and reverse it if (assuming my suspicions are correct) it is spurious. If not, I would like to request that Tinder explain which rule in particular it believes I violated -- so that I can inform my friends who still use the app (as whatever this supposed rule is, it is clearly unintuitive enough to cause confusion).     I believe my account was wrongfully banned. I have been a Tinder user off and on for nearly 3 years without any issues. I rejoined on 8/15 after taking a break for several months, only to have my account banned without explanation within 24 hours. I contacted support and only received canned responsed citing Terms of Agreement and Standards. After reviewing, I do not believe any of these terms or standards had been violated and they are not willing to provide any insight into what the issue was. I hadn't even had any conversations with other users and could not have violated any rules in that regards.

    On August 17, 2023 ********** Time, I have paid an amount of ?155 or around $3 for a Tinder Gold subscription. Hours after usage, my account was wrongfully banned given that I typed in my Snapchat username (@cashrhi) in the biography section of my account. With that being said, Id like to reiterate the following that I have mentioned to them in my emails;1. My actions DO NOT go against the terms of use and community guidelines of Tinder given that I am NOT asking for anything monetary/for compensation from any user. My username just has the word cash in it and I have provided sufficient proof below.2. Having such username on Snapchat / having a Snapchat username stated in my Tinder bio was never stated in the terms of use and community guidelines as it being prohibited. 3. There is no unsafe action committed given I have done was type in my Snapchat username to my bio.The action taken is unfair on my end as someone who never committed anything against your terms of use and community guidelines.Upon contacting their help / support, I have only received nothing but automated messages regarding this case.     Contrary to Rhiana's claim that the inclusion of social media contact information is not a violation of Tinder's Community Guidelines, the Guidelines, expressly state "Share cautiously and thoughtfully. Dont publicly broadcast your personal information or ways for people to connect with you (no public displays of things like phone numbers, emails, or social handles)."

    Tinder issued multiple warnings for this content and this account was banned permanently after the profile text was repeatedly re-uploaded. Per the Tinder Terms of Use, Tinder may "terminate your account without a refund of any purchases if you have violated this Agreement, misused the Service or behaved in a way that Tinder regards as inappropriate or unlawful, including actions or communications that occur on or off the Service."

    We understand this is not the requested outcome, but this account will remain banned. Any new accounts Rhiana creates will also be subject to termination.

    Match Group / Tinder has banned my account. Previously ***********************************************, has shadowbanned my account. I have not broken Tinder's rules, but Tinder has decided to bill me and not show my profile to other members.


    This is a real thing as seen in Tinder's own Terms and conditions.

    This is not my first time using Tinder, and one of Tinder's ways of shadow banning someone is if they had an account, deleted it, and then recreated it.

    I am a paying member of a service, and the service was not provided. Their terms and conditions may be set, but that does not make them legal.
     
    Tinder decides based on several criteria whatever they may choose to stop showing profiles and shadow ban them.

    I was able to figure out that I was shadow banned based on several things. Matches not being one of them.

    #1 - My likes would disappear after a few hours. Likes that I send, even superlikes would disappear from my sent box. These likes are supposed to stay for 7 days, but disappear after several hours showing that my Tinder is not working properly.

    #2 - I have swiped on people that I know in person, and they have never seen me, but the likes have still disappeared. I was doing this so that I can test if the Tinder is working properly.

    #3 - I have taken matches off of Tinder, and they stopped receiving my messages, but I was able to see theirs. They didn't see me at all as if I did not exist.

    I would like to request to see statistics showing how many times my profile has been shown, how many times I was swiped right and left on.

    I would like a refund as Ive clearly been banned. Tinder is impossible to get support for and there is no customer service nor any way for them to say what terms and conditions were violated.

    I received a ban on Tinder as well as on Hinge, though in each event, I had no idea what I possibly could have done wrong. I have never spoken rudely or used curse words with anyone on these apps. The only possible reasons I can think of as to why I was banned could be that an ex-partner filed a complaint out of revenge, or a picture on my account showed me holding an accordion with a curse word on it.     I genuinely have always aimed to be a non-problematic, kind, and fun part of the Tinder community. It is a horrible experience being banned out of thin air from a company that has little competition in terms of dating pool size, scope, and access. Tinder needs to work with me in order to come to a less punitive agreement and perhaps contribute in understanding the part of the terms I violated. Ultimately, I suspect it must have been something technical or a misuse of the app I wasnt aware of (I genuinely have zero idea- was banned randomly one morning), but I maintain my stance that I find it extremely hard to believe this came out of mistreatment of another user.

    I created a tinder and hinge account on august 17, 2022 - both of which were banned in less than 24 hours. I have already submitted a bbb complaint regarding my hinge profile so this is specific to tinder but applies to both.My account was banned for violating terms of service. In the less than 24 hours my accounts were active, I did not message a single match so this is not possible. I am always respectful and abide by the rules so this ban is quite surprising.Match groups (representing both tinder and hinges) liberal use of account bans with no diligent investigation or recourse is entirely unacceptable. Banning rule abiding users without a means of challenging the ban is incredibly discriminatory and punishes users who are often innocent.This type of conduct needs to be corrected. I was provided with no explanation nor was I given the opportunity to seek representation to challenge the ban. I am seeking a proper investigation and corresponding reinstatement of my tinder/hinge accounts. I am innocent - I have abided by all rules and terms of service. My ban is the result of: a) poor enforcement by tinder/hinge of app policies and uniformed use of account bans; or b) baseless targeting of my account.Should corrective action not be taken, I will be highlighting the gross misconduct of match group, tinder and hinge by way of legal action and media attention.I sincerely hope that you will take this complaint seriously and reinstate my accounts. ****

    I was a member of Tinder and had a subscription. I was banned on 8/17/2023 due to an angry ex girlfriend who found my account. I can provide text indicating that she reported me maliciously. She practices life ruination when she doesn't get her way. I can provide police report. Match Group is actively siding with a harrasser. I would like this overturned. I am willing to believe that this slight was done by Match Group due to automation, but I am requesting someone to communicate with and demonstrate that she is actively trying to attack me. I have the numbers of girls I communicated through Tinder and they can vouch for me. I've not done anything malicious.

    I am rejecting this response because:   it's a standard response. Your company is siding with someone who is harassing me. You can check your ip records. She and I don't even live within the same city, we live an hour apart. She contacted after we had broken up. You can look on your records that I "swiped left" on her to actively not have an interaction. Is your policy that I should have just done a false report then? Because I have plenty of evidence from people I have met that know it's being vindictive. 

    I want my ban reversed because I did nothing wrong, I am being harassed and you're actively siding with an abuser who is transphobic and racist. If you want me to screenshot offensive comments she's made I can show you those. I am just trying to show that I have been requesting me to leave her alone. 

    I never asked you to reveal why I was banned or who banned me. That is a false claim. I know who did it because I hadn't logged into the app in months. In fact, I had paid to be invisible. The fact that she found my account is sign that you failed on what I had paid. I specifically paid for the feature that only shows you to people you"swipe right" on. I swiped left on her. 

    I am just asking for my account to be reinstated.

    Hi there, I became single a little while ago, and very recently worked up the courage to start dating. I deleted my Tinder a few weeks ago. Today I decided to make a new one. Once I finished picking photos, I was banned immediately. I appealed the ban today, and Tinder as responded with a form letter telling me virtually nothing. I've used the service in the past, and have paid as well. Below is the email:"Hello ***, Thank you for contacting our team. Your account has been banned from Tinder for violating our Terms of Use and/or Community Guidelines. To promote safety on our platform, we take violations of our policies seriously. You will no longer be able to access your account or create new accounts in the future. Thank you,****"Strangely I was also banned from Hinge yesterday for seemingly no reason other than opening a new account. This account was closed I believe over a year ago. I have appealed this decision as well, but they are still reviewing my case on Hinge.It feels strange to have to write this email and defend myself like this. I simply used the service as intended, I'm a dork and not particularly successful on the app but I strive to treat everyone I meet with respect. I feel that due to how quickly they responded my appeal was not properly reviewed. I would like them to revert or explain what I did wrong.     I am rejecting this response because: This response implies that I was banned previously from Hinge, and  I was never banned  from Hinge. I deleted my account after getting into a relationship about a year ago which is the goal of the app. I remade it now that I am ready to date again. I was not aware that Match group was the parent company of both Hinge and Tinder. I did not make a Tinder account after my ******************** ban to work around, I was simply attempting to use another app while I awaited my ban appeal on Hinge. I did not break the **** perhaps there is a mistake with my account being improperly flagged, but before I re-started the apps. I downloaded Hinge fresh and was banned within hours for no reason, at that time I did not even have a Tinder account as it was previously deleted. The explanation that I had made an account after being removed without the express written permission is not relevant to this case. This is unacceptable and very disappointing.
