On 2/21/2022 Uptown Dodge Chrysler charged me for a service to get a new key on my jeep made. I paid the transaction. I called multiple times over the course of 6 months to check the status. One year later I was told that the sales representative was let go and the case was never followed up with any other representative therefore the item was never ordered. The accounting department left me a voicemail stating they would refund the money. I have attempted to reach out for the last 3 years and have been given the run around each time.Initial Complaint

In April 2022, I purchased a Jeep Wrangler from Uptown Jeep. First, I was put on a lease that I wasn't aware of until I got the letter from the finance company. I called back to correct it, and the seller told me I couldn't. So, I took that loss. The dealership closed down shortly after the purchase. The Jeep was supposed to have a full extended warranty up to ****** mi. The contract for the extended warranty shows the car was Jeep-certified and has a powertrain warranty of up to ******* miles. My car recently broke down (82k mi)) and requires a head gasket repair. The Jeep dealership says that Uptown failed to load the Jeep certification in the system, so they can't cover the repair. ******, the extended warranty will not cover the repair either because they are saying the paperwork Uptown submitted shows the car was Jeep-certified, and Jeep should cover the $6500 head gasket repair. All I want is my warranty information corrected so that I dont have to pay for it. Also I was sold a tire warranty that I was never told about or used. I want that refunded. I was truly scammed in this deal.Initial Complaint

We took car for service on 1/10 for a heating problem. *****, the service advisor informed me that it would be at least Friday 1/12 before can get to it. It was not until Tuesday 1/16 that it was finally diagnosed and he said it was submitted to Mopar to approve the repairs covered under the extended warranty. Today is Thursday 1/25, more than 2 weeks have passed since we left the car and more than 1 week since it was diagnosed and still we do not have approval to fix the car. ******* the lead service advisor called today to only reiterate what ***** has already said. Only that they are unable to move forward without approval from Mopar. But has no idea how much longer it will take or what the delay is. And does not have a loaner car to provide while they continue to wait for approval. Zero consideration for providing alternate means of transportation like most other dealers. Also, we are unable to get our car back to drive while they seek approval. Its unacceptable to take a car in for service and not be able to provide a timeframe on when it will be ready. At this point I would like a rental car paid at their expense and then they could follow up with Mopar to seek approval for the repairs.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2013 *** X6 from Park Cities Chrysler Dodge Jeep ******** on 11/09/2023 in ******, ** for $16000. The dealership sold me a protection plan (a limited lifetime warranty) that they said was mandatory for all cars they sell. I received a breakdown of the price of the vehicle which included the protection plan. Days later I called to ask questions about the plan because based on the guidelines of the warranty the car I purchased did not qualify due to the high mileage. I was told at that time that I did not have the plan and was not charged for it. This prompted me to look at my bill of sale, and thats when I noticed I had been a victim of fraud. The dealership added the price of the plan into the sells price of the vehicle and removed the warranty plan without informing me. I have documentation of this. This company is under new management they currently go by Park Cities Chrysler Dodge Jeep ********. I was unable to find their update information in your database.Initial Complaint

On 6/17/2023, we contacted Uptown Chrysler ****************** because our vehicle wouldn't start. It was odd, since the vehicle had recently gotten a new battery from the dealership. Their service department advised us to contact the towing company, Grants Towing, and they would handle it.We followed their advice. ******* Towing arrived, jumped the vehicle, and took it to the dealership. We asked ******* Towing about charges and they advised Uptown would handle charges. The dealer fixed the vehicle and received another new battery again under warranty, but recommended new filters. On 6/19/2023, when I retrieved the vehicle, there was a charge for $135, a line for ** Towing without detail. I said that we were not told we would be made responsible for the towing. I protested this charge with management. They said that we could have called roadside assistance instead of the dealership in order to have the towing charges covered. I asked if everyone at the dealer knew that. I spoke to two people at the dealership that mentioned this to me. It seems like they may have simply advised this when we called on the phone the first time.So then I asked for the ** so I could review it. I saw that ** was for $110, not $135. After printing the **, the manager, rushed to print a new invoice for me, hoping I would not notice that and charged me the $110.However, they would not let me retrieve my car and leave without paying $110. I now understand there is no plan to ever disclose to a Chrysler customer that calls the dealer that they will be responsible for towing, because they are making profit on each tow. The Deceptive Trade Practices Act protects consumers from undisclosed and hidden fees. This manager refused to discuss this with me, and refused to see that this invoice was not made out to me but made out to Uptown Chrysler, and he was passing it through to me without my knowledge or consent in order to make a profit of $135-$110 until I caught them and then had to just have me cover the cost of $110. According to the ***** this is unfair and deceptive. Please assist. This is undisclosed and I do not consent to this charge at all. The attached only shows the invoice for $110. The assistant took the original invoice of $135. She said they were "their copies".Initial Complaint

The date of the transaction was April 1st 2023. The amount paid was a trade-in on a 2017 Dodge Challenger in the amount of ******. The business provided a new vehicle 2023 Dodge Challenger SXT. The nature of the dispute is that the sales manager Mr ***** stated that the features and specs on the vehicle were just as the features and specs on the 2017 Dodge Challenger ( heated seats, remote start, electric steering, navigation, daytime running lights, fog lights, rear parking sensors, universal remote transmitter and heating steering wheel ect) .The sales manager asserted that the vehicle came with certain options or features in the 2023 Dodge Challenger when it did not, the sales **************** also stated that the screen in the car was a 8.4 size it was not it was a 7.4 size. it was later confirmed that the sales manager was dismissed from his position because of misrepresentation to customers and other things. Spoke with another sales manager that stated that he spoke with the general manager *************, to rectify the concern the company admitted that Mr ***** the sales manager was in the wrong and they wanted to right his wrong. To right his wrong they were going to allow me to trade in the 2023 Dodge Challenger for another 2023 Dodge Challenger with all the options and features on the vehicle that was promised to me. However, the business was not going to apply the amount that I put down which was ***** out of the ***** to apply to my replacement vehicle.Initial Complaint

3/18/23: I traded in a leased vehicle (2020 GMC) for a 2023 GMC, at ****************** in *************, **. In April and May I receive 2 payment due emails for the 2020 GMC, but figured the trade-in just had not registered yet. 5/5/23: I called GM Financial to confirm the 2020 GMC was no longer on my account. They stated it was never reported as being turned in. I immediately call ******************. I spoke with ****, who sold me the car. He did not help me. He also said he could transfer me to someone else, but that I would be given the run around. I ask for a manager and was transferred to *****************************. He said he would call me back and did not. I called back and he said he needed to call someone else for help, that they rarely get trade-ins, so he did not know what to do. Then, I receive a call from ****** in accounting at Uptown Chrysler in ******. She stated the dealership did not properly report the trade in, but a check would "be cut" and ******* to GM Financial to pay the car off. She stated she would email the tracking# and confirmed she had my email address. I said GM Financial suggested an ACH payment as it would get to them faster and in time to not impact my credit. ****** stated they did not do ACH payments, so a check would be sent on 5/8/23. 5/10/23: I receive another call from GM Financial, in attempt to collect the April payment on the 2020 GMC. I explained the situation; my account was noted. 5/11/23: I called Uptown Chrysler, and again, ****** said she would email the ***** tracking#, implying the check was already sent. I did not receive an email. I called again. She stated the check was not signed yet. I asked when it would be, as my credit will soon be impaired. She said she would ask then call me back. I have not heard from her since. I have tried several times to call. No luck. "Under ********** law, dealers must pay off your trade-in vehicle within 21 days from purchase. If the dealer fails to do so, you may have a claim against them."Initial Complaint

I took my car to Uptown Chrysler on 10.03.22 for problems starting the car and I paid over $820.00 for repairs. I asked for estimates on a few other items including a problem with the windshield washer nozzle being out of alignment on the driver's side. I received an exorbitant estimate for "torn hoses" and I declined due to the amount and the fact I was suspicious of the diagnosis. The washers worked fine, just one nozzle was spraying too low. A few weeks later we had a "dirty rain" and I tried to use my washers to clean my dirty windshield and nothing came out. The system was completely disabled. I called and left a voice msg with my service advisor and didn't receive a call back. I emailed and receive no reply. I cc'd an email address that was listed on the website to be sure someone else got my message as I wasn't positive of my service advisor's email address and still no reply. I filled out a contact form online and still no one would respond to me except for a couple of salesmen who texted me trying to sell me a new car. I responded back to one of them and asked for help reaching my service advisor and the texts stopped. This issue is easily put on the back burner as it only becomes a problem when one's windshield has been splattered with dirty water spots or tree pollen. It's not an everyday issue. When it's actually raining or it's a sunny day the washer system isn't necessary but when it becomes a problem it's a big deal and a safety issue. I've had to drive with my windshield covered in filthy spots and my vision severely compromised when the sun hits the dirty windshield. I've been forced to go to gas stations and using their squeegees to clean my windows and I must confess it's made me extremely angry that they've ignored me. I shouldn't have to chase after them. They had no problem contacting me when they had my car in the shop and I owed them $800. I want my windshield washer system restored to normal. Thank you.Initial Complaint

We purchased a *** ******** in December of 2022. There was only one key fob available at that time for this vehicle. Octavia, the sales manager, promised that he would get us a second key fob. This is a business owned vehicle and we need 2 of the fobs. We have never received the second key fob. We have tried calling many times but Octavia will not return our phone calls. No one will get back to us on this. Now that we have purchased a vehicle from this company, we cannot get any customer service from them. We just want a second key fob for this vehicle as promised when we purchased this vehicle.
