We contracted Crown Relocations to move our household belongs from ******** to **********, ***********. Prior to leaving the ** our container was inspected by the US Customs and Border Patrol which resulted in almost every box being opened and a great deal of the content removed and placed back in the boxes. Upon arrival in ***********, it was clear that Crown failed to check the shipment before departures and that many of the boxes were left unsealed, content was left out of packing materials and boxes (some of which were damaged), and content was shifted to boxes that they were not originally packed in. On top of this, the delivery people stated that there were 20 boxes left behind and that they had located them in the US and would ship out in a few months time. We have filed an insurance claim on the damaged items, and reported the 20 missing boxes to the local ** team they told us to file an insurance claim on them. We gave them a dollar amount estimation based on the average content of the boxes that were shipped. When the insurance kicked back the claim because they needed to know specifically what was in the boxes because of the claim amount, Crown began to say that the boxes never existed, that they delivery people misspoke, and that it was our responsibility to know what may or may not have been in the boxes even though they failed to provide any descriptions, and the descriptions on the other boxes were ****** vague and often incorrect. We are asking of a partial refund because Crown failed to deliver of key parts of the service for which we contracted them and were complete under their control:- They failed to keep a accurate inventory of our shipment - They failed to verify that our shipment was complete before it left ******** and *********** - They failed to keep our shipment protected and secured/sealed resulting in avoidable damage - They failed to keep tracking number on boxes an other items which made inventory impossible to verify
