Well I signed up over the phone with Real Geeks with a sales person, who didn't seem like he wanted to go to in depth about their service except for what they could do for my business. As I had done some research I thought I knew enough. On April 2nd I signed up for the $299 a month...wasn't told it was a 12 month contract but I had seen it on the website that it was the 12 month pricing. While on the call I got a setup link which I was walked through then, I got an email moments later with confirmation and a link to the terms and condition. In all I received 7 emails within that first day and I am encouraged to log in. Not knowing that once you log in you have unknowingly accepted the terms and conditions within the agreement that you were sent after you have paid and locked yourself into a 12 month contract with a early cancellation penalty of 2 month payment. I was however told that I wouldn't have to pay but a portion for the first month and not the full $299. It is now May 2nd and it seems like I have had to do everything myself and as far as marketing, lead generation and when I ask about SEO optimization they are not able to provide me any measurables so that I may track what they are doing for my website and how they are improving it if at all. The idea that the terms and conditions are sent to you after you pay and that your acceptance is after you log in versus after reading it and accepting it is shady and a consorted effort to misrepresent and or hide the fact that their isn't a trial period to **** people out of at least $600 if they do not like the service and or product which they don't seem to keen to be living up to. As realtors we are consistently being targeted to grow our business but to purposely hide charges is unconscionable. Hiding fees and charges in an agreement you receive after signing up and claiming that acceptance is after logging in which you promote as a part of the onboarding process and not notifying me is criminal.

I have attached a copy of our payment page where our customers have the full terms of service laid out for them. They are required to click a check box that states they have read the terms of services before the payment can be charged to their credit card and finish the account sign up process. We are very upfront with our pricing, all of this same info is included on our website. We have also provided the customer with this information.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 05/08/2025

I am rejecting this response because:   When you are on the initial call you are not given an opportunity to discuss the terms nor are you given an opportunity to read the terms prior to you paying for the service, the terms themselves are not discussed or are important parts highlighted as they may be of real concern to the potential customer.  ********************** is not up front about the costs as it relates to cancellation because they know they wouldn't sign up as many people if they did.  I can't even get a clear explanation as to when my service is going to be cancelled and when any payments are going to be charge to me.  Yes, it may be true that legally you have checked the box for having the terms available but that doesn't mean that you are a reputable business by how you go about your business in being up front and transparent with your potential customers.  As it stands now, your company seems to be the type that **** **** from responsibility and be ambiguous to refrain from doing what is right versus what is legal all to cheat some people out of a dollar.  If I'm not mistaken the phone calls are recorded, where is the tape let's take a listen and see if I'm advised about the cancellation fees or offered time to read the lengthy terms and conditions that we all just click on without reading almost every **** day of our lives.  However if I was signing my house away, you would be pretty **** sure that you would have to tell me about it before I click ok as it is pretty significant!  Better Business Burea, Legal doesn't always mean right! Do Better Real Geeks!

      Customer Answer

      Date: 06/12/2025

The company reached out to me and explained that because when I went through the process of paying when signing up there was a box that said I read and accept the terms and it was checked.  Which states once you log into the dashboard you have accepted the terms then I had to pay the $600 to cancel their service.  They charged my credit card as they had it on file.  They do not discuss the terms nor do they give you time to read it or advise you of such or of the cancellation fee.  It just feels like they hurried you through the process and then want to trick you into getting 2 months of service as a consolation prize once you decide to cancel.  Not impressed.

I got on their 6 month program and have gotten bad leads. THey haven't reached out or provided any support during this time. When I ask them to call I get no response. When I call , I'm just waiting on their support line. I finally called sales and connected to support and then was put on hold asking me to talk to the *** who helped me 6 months ago. SO basically I'm stuck on the phone all the time with them just trying to cancel. I have already sent them emails to cancel.

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding Real Geeks, whose services I used for six months at a cost of $600 per month for their real estate website and CRM. Over this period, I received approximately 18 leads, none of which were of good quality. This fell far short of the promised weekly leads that were part of the service agreement.Due to the poor performance of the service and the lack of viable leads, I could not afford to continue with Real Geeks. Additionally, I was assured by their team that I would not need to purchase my own website domain, as they would handle it for me and provide it. However, they failed to deliver on this as well. Now, they are asking me to pay $250 to get my domain back, which I had originally planned to purchase myself for just $10. I request that you review your call recordings to confirm this commitment. This experience has left me completely discouraged. In my opinion, Real Geeks is not a good option for real estate professionals in more rural areas, as their services simply do not deliver on their promises. Furthermore, their customer service has been severely lacking throughout this process. Based on my experience, I strongly advise others to avoid this company.

      Business Response

Mr. ********* went live with ads on 3/21, the same day he signed up. He received
1 lead in the partial month of March.
      11 leads in April
4 leads in May (we spent $40 on his ads and he didn't pay for that month)
0 leads in June due to delinquency
      5 leads in July
0 leads in Aug or Sept due to delinquency

So he received a total of 21 leads, not 18 and the only reason the count was so low is because he was delinquent for 4 of the 6 months.
He was also signed up for our Grow package which does not come with an account manager nor does it come with any guarantee of leads, weekly or monthly. We do help out when our customers need us and request assistance, but we don't reach out and work on their campaigns like we do for Expand and Conquer packages.

Mr. ********* was delinquent on his account with **********************, missing his May 1st payment and eventually making a reduced payment, and then missing his June, August and September payments completely before requesting to cancel his account due to financial hardship. When Mr. ********* requested to cancel we let him out of his 12 monthly invoice contract and even agreed to waive the Early Termination Fee that he did agree to in the Terms of Service.

The $250 domain transfer fee is a processing fee for Real Geeks to completely the necessary steps to complete the transfer, and is also outlined in the Terms of Service.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 09/10/2024

I am rejecting this response because:   I was proposed at least more leads a month. The last month I paid for I did not receive the leads promised in the contract. I am not escalating this and asking for a refund. However, I will say. I was lied to. I was about to buy my domain for 10 dollars while i was talking to the representative. The representative told me they can just take care of it and talked me into letting real geeks take care of the domain. They told me if I cancelled they will give the domain back. This is a very dirty business move on Real Geeks end.  They just want to make the extra $250 from it. I asked what is involved with the transfer that costs that much? They told me its just a fee they charge. This was recorded just on Friday 9/6/24. If you look at go daddy transfer charges, it is free. Real Geeks is a dirty business, They did not deliver on the leads promised. Why would I want to keep paying them when they are not providing their contractual amount of leads I was promised. It's not fair that as a business you did not hold up your end. Just sad. People need to know the truth and stay away from Real Geeks. I work with a lot of *** ***** Coaches and they will not be happy to hear how Real Geeks is conducting business. Very bad business practice.

      Business Response

      Date: 09/19/2024

We have recently changed our policy with regards to the $250 domain transfer fee, and we are in the process of updating our Terms of Service. However, that is what is stated in the Terms of Service that Mr. ********* signed when he joined Real Geeks. The new fee will be $50 however, the account must be in good standing with Real Geeks to be able to purchase the domain. Mr. ********* account with ********************** is not in good standing however as he failed to pay 3 out of his last 4 monthly payments. The one month he did pay, he did receive 5 leads that month and we state again, there was no contractual amount of leads agreed to and it states this very clearly in the Terms of Service that Mr. ********* signed, and shows this on our company website for anyone to access our clear and upfront pricing. **************************************************************************

Even though Mr. ********* account with ********************** is severely delinquent, and we have made multiple financial concessions to him, I would still be able to honor the $50 domain transfer fee if he wishes to purchase his original domain.

I am rejecting this response because: when signing up I was about to buy my domain. I was about to buy it and your sales ***resentative told me they would handle it and if I cancelled I could get my domain back no problem. I was not advised a $250 fee. I advise you to listen to your call recording so you can find this evidence. Also I was promised by your sales ***resentative a certain amount of leads. I advise you to listen to that conversation as well. They told me if I didnt get the leads I was promised , I could cancel no problem.   Your sales *** suckered me into buying it.  You guys did not deliver, what I was promised in the package by your sales ***resentative. I was wronged by Real geeks.

I am writing to you regarding a $500 fee I'm owed from Real Geeks. There were two charges of $162.96 that I previously disputed with Real Geeks and for which I won my case with CapitalOne. They have failed to honor reimbursing me the $500. I have attached a packet containing the relevant information for your review. These charges were related to services that Real Geeks promised to provide when I signed up with them, but they failed to deliver the *** feature from the beginning. As a result, I successfully contested the charges and was reimbursed. However, I also provided evidence showing that a representative from Real Geeks canceled my services without my authorization or any prior clarification. When I contacted them to inquire about this, they reinstated my services but did not refund me for the cancellation fee. Subsequently, they canceled my services again.Despite the reimbursement for the 2 charges of $162.96, Real Geeks continues to assert that I owe a $500 cancellation fee. This contradicts their prior acknowledgment of their mistake and the fact that I was reimbursed for services that were never provided but promised and was brought to their attention multiple times through tickets # they created to fix the issue.I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter. Please review the attached documents that contain the proof supporting my claim. I appreciate your prompt attention to this issue, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

      Customer Answer

Real Geeks has failed to make this right they continue to state they are not reimbursing me. While they refunded two months of charges due to their failure to provide the promised services, they have refused to reimburse the $500 cancellation fee. This is contradictoryacknowledging their fault for two months of fees yet still holding onto the cancellation fee.

We signed up with Real Geeks back in January 2024. We spoke to the sales team and they told us the leads wed be receiving were real people making inquiries on our website and that they were exclusive leads to us. It turns out not to be true. Majority of the leads have disconnected numbers and bad emails. We also compared the names on our leads list with a group of other people in our industry and they have the exact names on their leads list. We have been with them since Jan/Feb 2024 and the text message feature they advertised has never worked! We are trying to cancel and they want to charge us $2000 to cancel!!! We want to cancel because we feel were throwing our money away, paying $1,000/month for ads we have never seen is already abuse! And they still want $2000 from ussss?? This company is a scam! We dont want the 5 months worth of money back, we just want to cancel but having to pay an additional $2000 to do, we feel like were being robbed!

I signed up with Real Geeks thinking that I would be receiving real estate leads. The price that was offered was $250 per month. Since that time, I have been charged over $500 and have not received what was originally promised.I requested in writing to end my membership on 5/1 with a refund. Real Geeks did not respond. I called on 5/14/24 and was put on hold. I was told that someone would give me a call back within 5 minutes. I did not receive a call. I then sent another email to request a cancellation and refund on 5/14/24.

      Customer Answer

They have not provided any additional communication to me.  I was not refunded my money.

      Business Response

We allowed the customer to cancel her account with us and waived the $598 dollar early termination fee. We also sent the customer a copy of her call transcript that she had with us and we explained that Establish package that she signed up for does not come with leads but that we help setup different tools that can drive traffic to her website that has the potential to turn into leads. We explored all of the different options available and what the prices are so we are not sure where the confusion is on this. Quite frankly none of the customer's claims are true at all and all of the disputed information is on our website.

We have asked Real Geeks to give us access to our domain so that we can use it with a new provider. They will not give us the Go Daddy information to transfer the domain to our new website unless we pay a $250 domain transfer fee. We were told at the start that we could always take our domain if we ended up cancelling our subscription to real geeks. They never said we'd have to pay $250 to take it with us. Now they are holding the domain hostage until we a pay fee we never agreed to.

I was told after a year of the contract with them that I would be able to cancel. I've spent weeks trying to do this. There is no place on their website to cancel the contract that I can find. I've reached out to them several times via their customer service email as well as their billing email and I can't get a response from anyone. I just want it canceled before I'm stuck with another months bill.

Ive been paying them for over a year for services I thought were being rendered that weren't. I called and had a full blown conversation with tech support 3 days ago and he was just typing away like he was working on what I asked him to. I called back 3 days later because the problem was not resolved. The tech who answered today said your domain nameservers are not even pointing towards us we are not doing anything for your website services. What have I been paying you $500 a month for? Oh let me talk to billing and get your account cancelled. The tech rep was felt so bad for what had happened, they had been billing me for over a year and not providing a service. She put in a request to have management call me. This "management" person called me with his dog barking in the background to try and offer me free months of services. Come on what don't you get you've been taken my money without rendering a service, that's stealing. Managements response was if I have a photoshop subscription and Im not using it I can't get my money back. There's a difference you are knowingly not using it, Im here thinking you're actually running my website and your first tech made it seem like yes everything should be fine in a few minutes it just needs to propagate. Only to find our days later you are not actually providing any service for me. The second tech clearly knew what was happening was wrong. She went as far as to have billing stopped immediately and tried to get management to work something out. As I write this Im concerned for the second technician's job. I'm so thankful that she told me the truth, she knew immediately that they were not providing a service yet I was still being charged. When I told management that I was going to report them to BBB he was like go ahead I don't care.

The customer made a technical change on his account which redirected his website, any issues he is having were not caused by Real Geeks. We do not offer website monitoring as part of our service and the customer is free to do with their site as they wish. The customer had not contacted ********************** since November 2022 with regards to his account, it would have been his responsibility to monitor his site and contact us if there were any problems.

I started paying for the service in August. It is supposed to provide me with real estate buyers and sellers, then through their app the have, I am supposed to be able to mail them post Cards, text message, phone and email. Still they are sorting out software issues an I have not been able to reach out to any of the leads. No responses. My program has not been correctly set up and they keep delaying me week after week with excuses as you can see in my attatched emails. I spent about $4500 and now I have cancelled the service. I am not sure if it is a real service or if it is a scam and they pretend their software works as they advertise. I ahave seen nothing work, no confirmed messages sent have been confirmed to be received with any sort of reply.

      Business Response

Customer was provided with all services we committed too. Customer had delays through 3rd party text providers that we have no control over. Customer was provided credits for any and all delays. Customer was unhappy with the quality of the consumer leads we provided, and customer was issued refunds. Customer only paid $2628.17 during his time with our company, not the amount he is claiming. Customer was asking for a full 100% refund even though he did have a website and customer relationship management software provided to him. Our support team worked with the customer quite often to resolve any IT issues and/or requests he had for assistance. Even though we did everything we could for the customer, we would have been happy to work with him on a possible credit while we tried to resolve the issues with the 3rd party texting provider. Customer wanted to cancel however. We waived the $500 early termination fee for the customer.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 01/30/2024

I am rejecting this response because:

I wasn't paying for a website like they replied. I paid for a texting and calling and mailing post card service. Which was never provided as you can see in the attachments I provided. They openly admit I do not get texts nor email replies and blame 3rd party company that I never hired or agreed to paying any 3rd party. I paid Real Geeks and they did not provide me with what I purchased. Other companies charge $30 per month for a website. I was happy using my prior company at that fee but they promised me more, which unfortunately was not provided. They claim I was paying for a web page, but that only costs $30 per month. When in fact I was paying for the ability to contact leads, in which was never provided and blamed a 3rd party I have never heard of.

We will not be providing any refunds or additional credits to the customer.

I am rejecting this response because:

Their reply is obviously unacceptable. They charged me for emails and texts capabilites, since August. Post card mailings. I have supplied emailed stating I did not receive that service and that they ongoing kept giving excuses and I still have not received the service. It ias a scam. This company is charging people and keeping the monies. I am ready to further my report to go public on your webpage and have them accredited as a real business. Clearly they know they charged me for something that doesn't exist and refuse a refund and blame some fake 3rd party company as part of their scam.

Here are some fake leads that were entered into the database attached. As you can see they never visited my webpage, but somehow their information was added to my database. Not only are the leads fake, but there is no way for me to contact them to verify as the app doesn't allow to send texts, or make calls or email or mail postcards, which was the service I paid for. I already had my webpage for 16 years and paid $30 a month with a company. I have now went back to that company and spending $30 per month. The other fake promises were why I signed with them. They state they waived a $500 cancel fee, but I was forced to cancel or my other option keep paying for a fake service. Scam!

Another example of this being a scam, you will see 3 people who are supposed to be complete strangers and "leads" all opted out same day same time to the minute. Which leads me to believe the company cancelled these leads. How else could 3 strangers all cancel same day and same time? This was internally done by the company, fake leads. See attached.
