I hired FCS Commercial Construction for home improvement, specifically insulation, painting, faux finishing, and installation of an outdoor patio. I received two estimates, one for $13,665.00 on 6/22/24 and a second for $6,795.00 on 6/28/24 that also included cabinetry work for a pantry.FCS asked for initial payment of $6,000, which I sent via Zelle between 7/1/24 and 7/3/24. They began the insulation, painting and faux finishing.FCS then asked for an additional payment of $2,000.00 for the patio work that I paid on 7/9/24.FCX had a large pile of sand delivered to our home, blocking our driveway, but then their owner, **** ******, had a heart attack. While he was in the hospital, his son, **** *** drove to our house asking for full remaining payment. He told us he needed the money to cover business costs while his dad recovered and promised to complete the work.**** ****** made a full recovery but despite multiple calls and texts to both him and his son, he has gone dark and did not complete any remaining work. We know he is working again as the individual who recommended him to us told us he recently was awarded another job worth over $20,000 at another client.**** owes us $6,380 for the work he billed for and didnt complete and we are seeking repayment. We have tried multiple times to reach him and had our lawyer contact him, our next step will be to pursue him for payment. We are hoping BBB can help avoid litigation.**** *******

We hired ********************* as our public adjuster to help us with an insurance claim, which he did speak to our adjuster with Allstate. He said while we were waiting on more money from Allstate that we would need to keep his guys busy. So, we purchased materials, paint and flooring. They did an awful job and we are now having to someone else to repair this companies mistakes.

You must understand that we offer a service to our clients that no other company offers we go ahead and get the project started while we wait on the initial check. And when the check gets there we will either be done at that point or we will continue until we are done. In rare cases clients commit ins. Fraud and just running of with the money. While this client pretended to give money out of their pockets . We did over ***** of work over there. all while waiting on chk that they had already gotten making my guys work day and night sat. & Sundays it wasn't until we figured it out my guy would no longer get work therefore work was flawlesss if it looks bad it's because the 2 women who lived there did it well after we left. I the bbb publishes this review without Launching a full investigation then as much as I lo e the bbb you will have become a tool used by the earth's worst to punish the earth's best.

I am filing this complaint to notify BBB regarding ********************* with Dallas General Contractor dba FCS Commercial Construction regarding breach of contract, fraudulent misrepresentation of General Contract dba FCS Commercial Construction, theft of service, and misapplication of trust funds by entering into a contract with J2-FF **************** LLC ("J2") for renovation services, receiving payments, and failing to provide the contacted services. The signed contract outlined a renovation completion timeline of 8 weeks without fail, which **************** breached by not performing the agreed-upon services. We informed **************** that there would be no more payment until the work he was paid for had been completed. **************** had nothing but excuses and the main excuse was he had to pay his guys. His failure to perform has resulted in ongoing financial burdens for J2, including continued interest payments to LRC and utility bills for both properties. We did a detailed walk through of the property and discovered none of the work done by **************** - Dallas General Contactor dba FCS Commercial Construction was in compliance to city code, all of the work has to be redone. **************** received at total of $37,671.00 in a total of six payments, when we requested an itemized list of what what the money was spent on, **************** could not and would not provide any information. **************** last day on our project was April 22, 2024, he left our property unsecured the duration of working on our project. **************** should not be allowed to practice construction aware, his companies workmanship is far below construction I've ever seen. **************** breached the contract by not completing the services and failing to complete the work that he was paid for within a reasonable timeframe. Despite granting him an additional three weeks beyond the initial eight-week period, he abandoned the projects after 16 weeks, as of May 1, 2024.

** **** is going to reply to this saying I was a difficult owner and he did only what we asked for. Yes, i was a difficult owner as I wanted justification for all payment requests and was not going to give him 20% upfront without any work . I would recommend any Owner to do the same.He was told multiple times to perform work per approved engineered plans and what is allowed by the local authorities. We have only asked him for options. He will twist is now since i am writing this complaint. He has been paid for all his pay requests FCS Commercial Construction was hired to do an attic conversion. He quoted the lowest ( I realize this was a red flag ) and seemed like he knew what he was doing. We had a contract that specified 10 weeks to complete the project. He also assured us that he has over 30 years of experience and is very knowledgeable with the City Permit process. 2 months later, he had taken 50% of the cost from us and he had performed 20% of the Framing work. 2 months after that, there was no work in the house at all as he was not able to get a building permit from the city. End of the day, the main reason for his issue with the permit is because ***** Plumber, electrical and HVAC was all one UNLICENSEND person. He was not able to get any contractors to pull permits for this work. His Engineer is also out of state and will not talk to homeowners. **** came back to me for more money to get the permit approved, but there was no real solution, he just could not get the required paperwork. I ended up terminating his contract as he had passed his 10 week contract time. We, hired another contractor and found out more than half of his framing work was Incorrect. I Spent an additional 50% to complete the project. End of the day- DO NOT TRUST ********************* for any major work. He is probably ok for small remodels

This client was told at every turn what needed to be done next . And refused to listen as he fancied himself a seasoned project manager and his dad was a general contractor himself . He insisted we do things his way making changes at every turn and knows if there is any money owed it is to us in the tune of about $ ***** so no surprise there . We did everything he asked or insisted we never asked for anything in advance this guy is just another person who wants something for nothing we lost big on this project in an effort to dry this in with our own money because he didn't care at all that it was open to ele.ants he was so thrilled everytime he thought he could claim some ckindnof weather damage it was unbelievable he refused to shingle the addition and just kept allowing the weather to come loving every minute   I have never seen anything like it . Crazy times we live in .

I am writing to notify BBB regarding breach of contract and fraudulent business practices engaged in by *********************, owner of FCS Commercial Construction dba Dallas General Contractors. ********************* previously owned/operated "****** *********** Services", but closed the business after multiple customer complaints and law suits were filed against him for fraudulent business practices, breach of contract, poor work quality, and unfinished projects. **** is now continuing his fraudulent business tactics under a new company name - FCS Commercial Construction dba Dallas General Contractors. On 4/10/2023, I signed a contract with FCS Commercial Construction for removal/replacement of hardwood flooring and to paint walls and replace baseboards and trim in my living/dining room areas. Contract totaled $19,685.00; terms 40% down payment; balance due at completion. Estimated time for completion: 5-7 days.On 4/7/2023, I paid 40% down payment ($7,874.00). One week later, on 4/17/2023, the start date of the project, ********************* requested an additional $1,125.00, stating (falsely) that additional funds were needed to purchase the hardwood flooring "locally" because ordering the hardwoods would result in delayed delivery and additional costs. To date, I have paid ********************* a total of $8,999.00. We are now 3 weeks out from the project start date, and the hardwood flooring has not been delivered, and I do not believe it has been purchased. Every day, **** lies about the delivery status. He has exhibited bad faith, breached our contract, and engaged in fraudulent business tactics from the outset. He has not been present to manage the project, his crew left my home and garage in a dust bowl, and he breached the security of my home key by giving it to non-project management crew. **** is now refusing to reply to emails, texts, and phone call requests. I am requesting BBB to facilitate a full refund of the $8,999.00 I've paid to FCS Commercial Construction.

Thank you for the chance to respond to this complaint the customer hired ********************** custom home builders to respond to her claim with her insurance company which included replacing her hardwood floors damaged by water the customer was very nice in the beginning we had to take Great Lengths to remove her floor as it was glued down with liquid nails instead of the correct adhesive making the floor almost impossible to come up we ended up having to use heavy equipment to remove the floor which created dust we took all of her Furnishings out into the garage wrapped in plastic and built a plastic barrier so that she could not get dust upstairs as well as covering everything left in the house table countertops cabinets Etc my guys went to Great Lengths to get this done with as little dust as possible the customer came to the house to work and continually broke the dust barrier to go upstairs then complained of dust we took Great Links to remove the dust cleaning continually this scope was way beyond our original estimate the customer complain that she was scared to go outside and wanted to park in her garage so she could lock her garage before she unlocked her car and we had her stuff in the garage so we went and moved all that and cleaned her garage spotless so that she could park in the garage again I sent Cleaning Specialists too clean the entire downstairs to remove any possible dust from her home with no extra charge I invoice the insurance company for the additional fees concerning the floor as it also ran underneath the cabinets the fireplace the baseboard Etc waiting for the insurance companies response the customer became belligerent in impossible to talk to we always took her calls and responded immediately to all her requests until it became ridiculous and she said she would set out to destroy my company so here we are we've been over backwards for this customer like no other can't please everyone I've learned that but we try she then would not allow us to get our tools and took them to the police station and left them in the parking lot we were unable to get to the police station and consequently lost thousands of dollars in heavy equipment this complaint is absolutely absurd and I have all the documentation to back it up if requested
