  I lost my mother six months ago. After a formal investigation was launched with *********************************************** into the procedures and practices of Golden Gate Funeral Home and "A" Crematory, it is critical that more regulations should be placed on the funeral industry. During a time when I was most vulnerable, Golden Gate failed to act honestly and with integrity. Instead, they compounded my grief in a way that benefitted their business and rewarded them financially. If you choose to do business with them, take the time to review every contract and policy thoroughly with them. If you are looking for integrity and truthfulness at a time when it should be rendered unselfishly, I would suggest going to another funeral home provider. It's bad enough when you are navigating grief. But to be taken advantage of during your grief is taking it to a level reserved for a group of people who have lost all awareness of humanity and kindness. Please share this with everyone you know. Change begins with the consumer. We have the power to stop injustice.

  I live in **********, 3 hours east in *********...and a dead, embalmed baby that was SUPPOSED to have been cremated weeks ago at Golden Gate funeral home was found this morning in laundry sent from Golden Gate funeral home to ********** to be washed. There is NO EXCUSE for how this could happen!! I wouldn't trust a dead bug with this funeral home!! You can look this item up in the news.

  I would give this a zero star if I could. NEVER SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. NOT PROFESSIONAL AND NO REMORSE FOR THE GRIEVING ********* family had my uncle service here this weekend and it was HORRIBLE.First, they had us standing in the middle of the hall cause there was another service right before which ran over.Then they asked were the programs correct and the names were wrong and this was 2 minutes before the service while we were standing in the hall.When we asked to meet the pastor that my family paid, they said he wasn't there. Again, this is minutes before services. DURING SERVICE, the pastor pulls my grieving cousin out of the service and ask is this services are now needed. ******* YOU ARE EXTREMELY LATE.ALSO, the middle of service, the screen isn't showing my uncle, discovery plus pops up on the screen.After that, we didn't have time to say our remarks before someone came in and said, it's time to go.They stated that my uncle will be cemented and we had to correct them *** state he's not. Then they told us to go out the back door cause they have another service.THIS WAS EMBARRASSING AND HORRENDOUS. WE PAID MONEY TO GET TRIED POORLY.Please BBB, research this company and I will take further steps.

  I hardly ever try to leave a bad review on anybodys business, but this place here they sell you these fake contract a** dreams and they do another. I paid my payment upfront for my child to be cremated they told me it wouldnt be no more than two weeks. Well guess what that turned into 4 weeks with me constantly calling they gave me the run arounds *****, ******** a very big liar,& *******. Will definitely tell you what they think you want to hear instead of what you need to hear to stay on they a**. I was told if my baby needed to be embalmed that they would do that to preserve her body and no charge to me. But what they did so f***** cheap they didnt do that I smelled my baby when I walked in the room they was so cheap they put xtra sheets and towels around her to try to cover it up for my final goodbye yes I still smelled my babys body thats how cheap they were to keep from embalming her to preserve her body as it was told to me they would rather just let whatever happens happen because she was getting cremated just freaking sad my baby body still was supposed to been treated right even if she was getting cremated that what was told to me before I paid my money and signed my contract . If you want to be treated and giving a hard time for a cheaper price you could go through the fake promised lies but if you have a better place for a few xtra please pass by and I usually support my kind but this was by far the 1st and worst experience I ever had to where I changed my mind with even signing up for insurance with them I will definitely go else where. This will definitely be my 1st and very last time doing business with this company I feel like I was treated and lied to very unfairly because this was my 1st time very taken advantage and I did have a witness with me as well so something will be done.

  I wouldnt take my dead dog here! My dad passed last ********* his oldest daughter which is next to kin had not a say over his arrangements. Not only was I next to kin but my mom is still legally his wife and she didnt have a say so. Took me a while but I now have an attorney looking into this!

  This place is full of S my entrusted my brother to their funeral home and do to my brother not having insurance we had a multitude of people willing to donate 6/2/26/23 as peoples le were trying to make donation everyone was given a different story and the donation example I called myself to find out no donations had been made I was told people can call in and give their donations my brother classmates kept calling to make a ****** donation and first was told all financial obligations had been met I explained that we wanted the ******** package the the agreed to accept donations low a behold funeral wasnt accepting but directed people to automated system which by the way wouldnt accept any donation making me and family looking like a******* So I called again this morning only to be told that the 1, ****** is all that was paid toward my brother funeral. I despise this place and I advise everyone to never ever use this funeral home. How in the h*** dis the get an A+ blows my mind. Also they said they had donations but didnt know what account it SHOULD be applied I ABSOLUTELY HATE GOLDEN GATE FUNERAL HOME
