I bought 2new A/C units from these guys back in 2017. Everything was great with the install and sale, the price was fair and I was happy. Until today when I tried to get a service call to come look at the unit that's not cooling anymore. They REFUSED to come look at them because I don't have an attached ladder to the roof. I didn't have one when they installed them, I told them I have a ladder and I get up there all the time. It's on a flat roof over the garage only 8ft up. They are just making excuses to not come service their work. I had no issues with paying the service call, but since these units are under warranty, they might have to fix something for free, so they make any excuse they can to get out of it. But the biggest insult was the so call manager that I was transferred to, that had no idea what the other guy had told me, even after being on hold for 10 mins. She was extremely rude and provoking. The most unprofessional person I've ever spoken to. I couldn't help but yell at her and hang up. So I have to call some other company to come look at the units I bought from them, so much for my warranty. .This company works for American home shield, (who is also a scam ) that is a warrant company, and they won't warranty their own work.

Ive had a really bad experience with A/C Rescue. They work with American Home Shield (AHS), how I connected with A/C Rescue, and felt deceived by their practices playng along with what feels a scam with AHS. These are the facts of my experience, I hope people see through the type of company A/C Rescue is.Contractor sent a quote to AHS, AHS only shared with me my out of pocket (uncovered) portion for about $3K. I asked to get the total amount of the quote and itemized scope of repair and parts, A/C rescue denied giving me such transparency. So, I asked two other serious and licensed HVAC repair companies in the area for a quote to replace my evap coil -both came back at less than $3K. ********, AHS agent shared with me the items and cost produce by A/C rescue, they told me the evap coil AND labor (covered) was less than $400 (ridiculous), when in fact those are the two major items for such work. The other ~$2,700 were small and sometimes unnecessary items both inflated in price and scope, Im sure so they could on the back end work for them, not for their customer (Im baffled how ********************** played along the dishonest game). I got my coil replaced with all other accessories/parts and labor necessary for around $2.5k total.

We do apologize that you are unhappy with the coverage policy you have chosen with AHS (as there is many to choose from). We have no control on cost, that is why its sent to your home warranty for approval. We do have to bring the unit up to code and have your city inspect the work done at the property. We did send you an email with the break down we got back from AHS as requested and also shows the install manager spoke to you as well to go over everything. Appear you have taken the cash out with your home warranty company at this time and stated you got the repair done. We wish you the best. Thank you.

I SO LOVE ** Rescue. It is only February in ** but we had our little "heat wave" and the ** went out. I made an appointment and **** and ****** were at my house within three hours. Though there was an electrical issue we needed to hand over to electrician, they cleaned the unit--which was heavily caked with dust and dirt--even though they didn't have to, because it would have led to a catastrophic failure. ****** explained what all was going on and they were very friendly and professional. When you live in *****, ** is LIFE. The fact they made us a priority and got here so quickly to at least get us to the next step and the air at least circulating is HUGE.I will definitely request them in the future for any maintenance or repairs. We discovered them through American Home Shield but I would happily hire them independently for the value.

I had the WORST experience with this company. I filed a service ticket via American Home Shield for my small A/C unit that was not working properly. Unfortunately they assigned my ticket to this company. I received a call asking to make an appt and the rep was not very helpful when I asked questions. According to AHS I had no choice but to work with this company. The tech came and assessed the issue. Did not provide any written documentation of the assessment or advice me that I will receive an email. I called them and spoke to **** who was nice enough to email me the assessment and walk me through what to expect. Several days later I receive notification that the service request was approved by AHS and when I looked at the work order/invoice from AC Rescue there was an item missing that was part of the approved work request with AHS. I simply asked why the company why was that left out? ****** said well because it is at $0. However, the other parts listed on the invoice was at $0.00 as well - so why list that and not the all the items. The lack of transparency in the work that needed to be done regardless of the value should be listed because how would I know what to expect and/or hold them accountable. I was told that I was combative, unpleasant to work with, a horrible customer, and I did not know what I was talking about. Those were the exact words used. It was belittling and extremely unnecessary because as a customer I have the option to ask the necessary questions and if it does not make sense I have the right to question the integrity and transparency of the company. I authorized the work to be done and was told the part was being ordered. Never was I informed other wise. However, when I asked for updates and never received a call back. AHS reps on 2 separate occasions were told that no update because they were waiting on parts. As of today they told AHS oh we have decided not to move forward with the work. I still have a non working A/C a month later.

Terrible company! Caused damage they refused to take care of so I had to claim the damage on my insurance. I gave all the evidence to State Farm and I won subrogation which means they were found at fault. State Farm has had zero response from AC Rescue to resolve this. So at this point I either loose my deductible or take them to court. ZERO integrity!! Shameful and cowards! I'm sure every s**** up they have they handle it this same way because they know folks won't deal with taking thme to court for recovery of the deductible! Awful company!!

We are not a pop up company. This is a 2nd generation HVAC company.  We are sorry you were unable to make your appointment and upset about that ,when we tried to make accommodation, you belittled the staff.  We wish you all the best.

All I can tell is that this is an irresponsible, unprofessional, and dishonest business that cares about nothing but taking customer's money. Seriously, if that's how you wanna do business, them don't expect any positive feedback from me. I will never take down this negative review no matter what. If BBB allows me to leave a negative ?, I totally would go for it.

American Home Shield your Home warranty company that you signed up for, they controls the cost , You declined the repair when we were at the home and could have got your tenant up and cooling the same day, you declined and we also let you know with your home warranty company you could always get a second opinion and go from there . I am sorry you're not happy but it seems we have your tenant up and cooling on the 27th since you called back and approved the cost with your warranty company. I am sorry to hear that you were threated with a law suit by your tenant but we did everything we could for you and your tenant to get you all back cooling once you approved the repairs.

I suspect A/C Rescue (**R) is intentionally running up charges. The ** went out on Friday, 6/23; I opened a case with American Home Shield (AHS) and they assigned **R; **R said they couldn't dispatch until 6/27, but advised their tech would provide a dispatch window on the day of dispatch and provide 30-minute notice so I could be there. On 6/27, the tech said they would show between 9:30-12:00, but showed up without 30-minute notice as promised by their office. When I hadn't heard from tech after dispatch window, I texted tech and he said he had already been on site. I asked for a diagnosis, but he never responded. I contacted the tenant and she said the tech said there were ants in the condenser contact relay (contactor), that it wasn't covered by AHS, and that parts would need to be ordered. I called **R to confirm and to expedite the authorization for parts; they said I would need to reach out to AHS. I reached out to AHS and they said **R hadn't requested authorization. I called **R back and was told the manager would call me back--that never happened. In an effort to help my tenant, I looked at the unit and found the contactor and unit itself to be clean and free of ants, although I did find a dead lizard behind the control board, which I removed (how can you miss a dead lizard?). I also noticed the safety disconnect pull bar was incorrectly installed by the tech. Not willing to wait around on **R and thinking maybe I just wasn't seeing the problem, I purchased a replacement contactor for $25.97, but when I went to install it, I found the unit running; apparently the lizard and pull bar were the issues. I called AHS to cancel the service request and demanded a refund for the service call, which they granted. However, **R submitted a $300 authorization request for a contactor--an ****% markup!--which AHS sent to me on 7/3 for approval. I called AHS on 7/5 to confirm service request was cancelled and demand **R never to be assigned to me again.

We do not show a claim for ******************* but For a *********************. We do not get to control what is covered and not by American Home Shield ,everything has to be approved by your home warranty company that you signed up for. The claim was denied by them and they processed COD pricing we have no control over the pricing nor if this unit would be approved or not. Glad you got your tenant up and cooling and spoke with your home warranty company.

6/21/23 Just read reviews others are having with ac rescue. Currently as of now Ive been out with no ac since 6-12-23 One guard contacted ac rescue to complete service call. Still waiting , its 11:18 am 6/21/23 Terrible Terrible!!both are colluding with one another to find ways on how not to replace unit & to exclude home warranty out of contractual obligations. This truly seems to be a huge scam for the almighty profit over customer safety and service needs. Both are not acting in good faith.

We have absolutely no control over what your home warranty does or does not do. We submit our professional opinion via an online portal with any necessary pictures. We rarely, if ever speak to them regarding any work order. We cannot override their system. You as a homeowner are always welcome to purchase a new system through ** and avoid the delays waiting on the warranty company.

I'm on 3 weeks of no ac, 3 weeks. This is the biggest scam of a company. along with American Home Shield. They lie to you continuously and cannot wait to see the day their company finally falls due to their scams and price gouging. Their oh so lovely manager, ******, will claim that your unit is actually NOT covered by warranty and you have to pay out of pocket costs (11 days after accepting the original order). while they turn around and get reimbursement from the warranty company and the customer. They tell you "parts are on order and on back order with the manufacture" but when you demand the order number and the date the order was placed, they magically cannot provide you that information LOL. and then they demand you to pay your "out of pocket costs" before they even attempt to schedule the service. Funny they think they can get my money prior to a service being rendered. Literally the biggest scam of a company i have ever encountered. I would highly suggest everyone avoids this company. Cant wait to see ****** jobless soon ?? Maybe that will humble her some, she absolutely needs an attitude check.

The original technician that came to your home stated the unit should be under manufacturer warranty. That was in fact submitted to ****** (whom we have absolutely) no control over. They kicked it back saying that the part had already been replaced once so it was no longer under any type of warranty - again something we have no control over. No one asked you to pay for anything before we scheduled your install, you were told you did have pay when the installers arrived on site per your home warranty's company protocol. I would suggest you read through your contract with American Home Shield so you have a better understanding of how that works before you go on the attack.

Lets go ahead and put the full story out here for all customers then - since you want to say I am "attacking". I submitted my work order to ahs on 5/21/23. Ac Rescue was assigned to me - they came out to take a look, the tech said "pipes frozen, cant do anything, guess they forgot to tell you to turn off your ac the day we come out". Theres problem #1. Few days later, tech comes back, takes a for not even a full 10 minutes and says our unit is not compatible and is the old unit and needs to be fully replaced, also states the evaporator coil is leaking. This was on 5/26 - right before a holiday. They stated they will complete the paperwork, turn it into ahs, and we should be getting the new unit in 3-4 days. 3-4 days pass, its a ghost town. So we begin calling for updates. Once we finally got ahold of someone, they stated the paperwork got lost in the shuffle and was never turned into ahs. Paperwork finally gets turned into ahs, we are told we have some out of pocket price - no biggie because we DID read our contract and fully understood the freeon is not covered and we have to pay to fill it up. We accept the quote ahs sent us, and they notified us everything was good to go, contact ac rescue to schedule the install of the new unit. This was on June 2 that we accepted it. June 5, we call to see about scheduling it, ghost town at ac rescue still. no one will answer calls, and no one will call you back. we left a voicemail, and decided to be patient as we understand its hot out and we are not the only customer they are servicing. Call back to follow up on 6/9/2023 - no response or call back again. At this point, we are almost 3 weeks into having no AC. Reach out to ahs, they stated that they were able to reach ahs but the parts are on back order, but they wont even call us back????. Called back 6/12/2023 DEMANDING answers and to speak with someone. Their receptionist ****, who DID answer the phone this time, informed me the parts were on order but back ordered so they dont have a time frame. Not a good enough answer for me. I demanded to know what date the parts were ordered and asked to be given the order number - they refused to give me this info as if it is a high risk security breach or something. I demanded to talk to ***** manager - and which, he decided to get snappy with me. I have waited 3 weeks PATIENTLY for my ac to be fixed and now YOURE mad that i am frustrated that this is happening and no one will give me any type of answer????? ok *************Anyways, **** goes and talks to a "manager" and was informed they would be calling me between *****am on 6/13/2023. Mind you, at this time, ahs approved everything to be replaced already, and we approved our quote of out of pocket prices. I reached out to ahs to see what is going on because I cannot get any type of response from ac rescue. *** stated they called and talked to someone and ac rescue is waiting for me to pay my out of pocket costs before they will schedule to come out and fix it. I called and spoke with ahs manager and they told us that we HAVE to pay our portion before they will do the work. NOT HAPPENING!!!! On 6/13/2023 at 10:07am, ******, the one replying to the companies BBB complaints, called me regarding my ac. I answer the phone and she was absolutely the most condescending person and you can tell the way she talks to people, she does not enjoy her job, does not care about the customers, and she truly has her own internal struggles and is mad at the world...immediately she starts telling me that my unit is not covered under ***** (LIKE IM SUPPOSED TO JUST KNOW WHO SHE IS, THEYVE NEVER CALLED ME BACK BEFORE LOL) because it has been replaced before and ahs will need to update our out of pocket costs. I was very confused by this because this house was built in 2017 - we moved in in 2019. And let me bring you all back to the original issue they stated is wrong - my unit upstairs is NOT compatible with the unit outside BEAUSE IT IS THE OLD TYPE OF UNITS therefore, to stay up with "compliance" they would need to replace the entire air handler. and NOW ****** is stating that my unit has been replaced before and the manufacture will not cover it under warranty. Fortunately for me, I know the previous home owners we bought from, they never had the ac replaced, never once had an issue with the ac, ya know, SINCE IT WAS JUST BUILT in 2017, but ****** would not take that as an answer. This entire situation has been the most bizarre thing I've ever dealt with - so I contacted every ac company that I knew or was personally recommended to get a second opinion. on 6/13/2023 - I had 3 ac companies come look (yes, all 3 came out same day I called) and every single one stated ac rescues diagnosis was absolute bogus and not true and i did NOT need a full unit replacement. They stated both my units are the original builder units from 2017 and have never been replaced - especially after pulling the model numbers. They also stated that the "evaporator" coil leak was also a lie. There was no leak. However they did discover that someone (likely ac rescue, but i wont say it was them because i dont know, but I also know they were the only ones in my attic prior to this being discovered) put soap on it (likely to find the leak) and are assuming they are thinking they could use that as a way to get more money from warranty. THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH MY AC UNIT - THE CAPILLARY TUBE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED - a whopping $300 fix. Not only does ac rescue lie about the issues, but i also expressed my concern for a pretty rare medical condition whenever I sweat and the fact that they were making life miserable over a such a simple fix i even begged for them to just at least give me a call back. But lets remember, I didnt start pushing things with ac rescue until 6/12/2023 - 3 full weeks without ac and having severe allergic reactions. I also filed my compliant on here, and by the end of the day on 6/13/2023, ****** had called me saying that ahs is NOW GOING TO COVER EVERYTHIG and all is good to go with moving forward with the install. Few hours later - I get another lovely call from ****** regarding my BBB compliant. 6/14/2023 - MY AC IS FIXED! ONE DAY after hiring my own ac company. and the best part, I spent less than what my home warranty originally quoted me. EVEN MORE BETTER - I didnt have rude "managers" yelling profanities at me over their own s**** **** AND THE ABSOLUTE BEST PART - ac rescue will absolutely NOT get my business to profit off from *****, ahs, and myself. They will get caught for their scams, and they will end up out of business for it, all you need is time :) never think you are too good at scamming all these customers and will never becaught, because they will come after you!!
