      Would leave no stars if possible. My wife and daughters signed up for a membership at the ******* (380/****) location. After a couple months they decided to cancel their memberships as the gym was constantly crowded despite the advertisements and their initial visit to the gym. They showed up to the gym to cancel as was told when signed up. When they showed up, the *** told them they needed to email customer service. They did that and then followed up. **************** told my wife they had to contact a different entity because they moved membership management to a third party but of course no notice of change was ever provided to us. Membership was cancelled with the third party and even though when signed up we paid first and last months' fees, we were told additional monies were owed to cancel. We argued and for the past several months they have been leaving harrassing phone calls on my daughter's phone saying money is owed and additional fees have been applied. This has been a complete cluster and scam. ***** this organization at all costs.

      I sent a certified letter cancelling myself and my two kids, per what I was told by the manager. They only cancelled my membership and not my children even though they were under my account and listed on the cancellation letter. They sent the bills to collections regardless and now I am fighting a collection agency. Do not become a member here. They have awful customer service and will continue billing even when cancelled.

      I am a member at prosper location.i am on a autopay plan for my and my wifes monthly$10.99 payment. In more than one occasion they charged me exta $20 for late payment fee even though i have current credit card info in there file and i can see all three transaction on same date. The manager at my gym is un willing to fix the problem with the billing ***** not only that he is very rude about the whole thing.Calling the main office is useless because it is all machine recording never a person. As other has commented i agree that they are using unfair practice to make extra dollar in anyway they can

      Will not stop billing me after a year. I've sent four letters signed to the office, 10+ emails, I've asked ***** to stop it and I've contacted the "marketing manager" a number of times.. which says "we need 30 days to process" etc.. It is for my ex girlfriend and my old membership I canceled a year ago... ***? I suppose I have to go to small claims to recoupe the money, but now close my bank account number etc.. my God. Criminal and don't give a Shi&*Y*&Y about their customer

      Texas Family Fitness is committing deceptive business practices - when I spoke with the salesperson, they did not inform me about any annual fees. I was told my plan was month-to-month - not an annual subscription, and that I would pay $37/month. 35 days later my credit card was charged an additional $59, and I was told this was the annual fee.When I called to cancel, I was initially told that in order to cancel I had to come into the gym in-person. When I went into the location, they handed me a card and said they could not cancel in-person, but that I had to call the business number. While this was frustrating, I went home and called the customer service number.Upon calling this number, I ended up in an automated response loop, that continued to put me back at the original point of the call, with no option to cancel membership or even speak with a human. I had to keep pushing 0 and come up with creative ways to answer the prompts in order to finally get on the phone with somebody.I explained the situation and the person (as expected) said they couldnt do anything to help. They said they would send me an email that would allow me to follow steps to cancel the membership. However, they said, there was also a 30-day cancelation notice requirement, and that I would be billed an additional $37 the following month for a membership I wasnt using.Neither of these facts were disclosed to me during the sales pitch at my initial visit. The deception by this company and their attempt at making it very difficult to cancel is just another example of whats wrong with so many businesses. I personally own and operate a small business and work tirelessly to provide a quality service with clearly laid out terms and expectations, so that there are no surprises for anyone. In this case, it may only be about $100, but its the principle of the thing, and I know this is happening to many more people than just myself. Save your money and go to a different business!

      They are crooks and need to be investigated. Cancel my membership but yet they still charged me for another month of membership and the annual fees. Called and spoke to their so called manager and he stated theres nothing they can do. Horrible customer service from everyone Ive dealt with so far AJ the manager was horrible. Would not recommend doing business with them

      This is a "bate & switch gym". The front desk tells you that you have to call the corporate hq to get a refund when they agree that your cc has been overcharged. However, the person at the that answers the phone at hq won't let you speak to anyone in customer service & won't tell you when to expect a call back. He's extremely rude. Front desk at the gym said that it's best to email hq to get a response. Have now sent 2 emails to them & no response for over a week. TX family fitness charges you whatever they want to charge & then hide behind hq has to give you a refund when the manager of the gym agrees that you've been over charged. Stay away if customer service is important to you!

      I signed up for a membership on 7/18. I used it for 1 hour on the day I signed up, that is all. 9 days later I found out my abuser works 2 doors down from my local gym. I cannot go here anymore. I requested a courtesy refund of the $51.88 I paid the day I signed up due to my situation. The supervisor ****** finally called me back 12 days after my initial request to speak with a supervisor (longer than I had the membership). She was the coldest and least caring person I've ever had the displeasure of talking to. Regardless what your policies state, starting your sentence with a basic empathy statement when someone says they've been abused goes a long way. She would not let me talk and got abrasive with me when I expressed my shock at her lack of care. I worked in call centers for close to a decade, was a supervisor for years, and never have I ever been so disappointed in an interaction. I have already disputed with my bank but now I see why they have a 1 star review here.

      In the almost 6 months Ive had a membership, the new location at ************ have opened the doors way LATE at least ***** times. They can not get their c*** together! Every time it rains its a lake because of the crappy building, now theres a terrible stench of mold as soon as you walk in the door from the amount of times its been flooded. Needs new management.

      My family cancelled our membership in April of 2020. Recently, we have been made aware that they never cancelled our daughters (who was a minor at that time under the same credit card that the family paid the monthly gym fees) membership. We moved out of Texas June of 2020 and never returned and or utilized any portion of that gym or any other Texas Family Fitness gym since we moved to a state that was outside of Texas. I have called customer service multiple times with no return call back. I also emailed the customer service multiple times with no response. I want my daughters account to be immediately cancelled and an explanation on why they didnt cancel her account at that time that I requested our whole family to be cancelled regardless of them having multiple numbers listed for our family (they said my daughters number is still active but they are utilizing my form of payment that I requested to be cancelled of any further charges as of April 2020). My daughter and husband also sent a recent cancellation email to customer service to request to please deactivate and cancel any additional charges moving forward. We have been paying for over three years for an account we were all under the impression that was cancelled for our whole family. Thank you for any assistance or feedback on how to proceed.
