    We left our vehicle to have the turbo replace last year in july 2022. We payed the $4700 we were told it would cost to "get the car running" For the course of 6 months we called once every two weeks and were told it'll be two weeks before the turbo arrived. Again they did this every two weeks over the course of 6 months everytime we called. When the turbo FINALLY arrived it was january 2023, we went in and they stated it would now cost us $9000 to get it running because more work needed done. We told them at this point the car is totalled and had they told us this before hand we wouldve just totalled the car and not lost the $4700 we had to pull from our 401k. We asked for a refund since they did not perform any work on the vehicle and had increased the price by double. They stated okay but they would need to get in contact with their manager, ********************* before. They then stated it would cost us an extra $250 to restock the turbo or we could take it and they can refund us the rest of what we were owed. *** reached out to the shop multiple times from january-september 2023 trying to get into contact with the manager and each time I've called the shop they tell me they would "have the manager reach out on monday" this went on from january 2023- august 2023. I contacted another shop ********************* owns in ********** to finally get in touch with him on tuesday august 29th, after stating the issue of the missing $4500 he stated he knew nothing about our case, and that he couldnt control what his employees didnt tell him. He then contradicted himself after he stated he didn't know anything about it our case by saying the people involved with our incident no longer work there, but I saw the mechanic we were trying to work with in the shop, so that is false. He stated he would get back to us. It has now been 10 days and no response. They stole $4500 from us causing emotion and financial stress for a service they never performed and an unexpected upcharge.

    The low oil alarm came on in my truck. I have used Hoovers for over 30 years. I was not aware they were under new ownership/management. First they quoted me $2000 to replace the oil pump, I asked if it could be anything else, they offered to use computer diagnostic for $129. Turns out it was only the oil pressure sensor. They told me they would have to drop the oil pan so I'd have to have an oil change as well. They quoted me at $795 And they required payment in advance. I paid and After I left, I researched and found it was a $55 sensor(they charged $110) and the sensor was not in the oil pan but on top of the engine block and replacement was as simple as changing a spark plug. I checked several other shops and the same job was quoted at $400 ****** house) or less. I called to have them cancel the job but was told they never give refunds even though the work wasn't done yet. They could not justify the labor costs or why they dropped the oil pan. I told them if they didn't give me the refund I would make sure everyone in town heard this story. They didn't seem interested in protecting their reputation only keeping my money. I have only used Hoovers and nobody else, but I'm done. The new management is taking advantage of the trust and reputation that was built by the previous owner/managers. I highly recommend anyone in commerce take their vehicle somewhere else
