In order to ensure that they would even take our application, they forced us to tell our current property manager that we were vacating six months before our current lease was even up. We were told that they FOR SURE had 3 apartments in the floor plan that we wanted that would be available for our move-in date.We've since started packing and getting ready for our move next month whenever they called us this morning to tell us that their renewal percentage rates were too high and that they would not have an apartment for us at all. We asked to be put in a different model, or style and they refused, saying that they are completely at capacity.Meanwhile, our current property has neglected to do ANYTHING at our apartment since we've already given notice that we were vacating.We were informed that we'll be receiving our deposit back, minus the "application fee" that these crooks stole from us. They flat-out lied when they told us that they 100% had an apartment for us. They claim we were "put on a wait list", but that's simply not true. That is not what we were told.I know that the same company owns 3 complexes around here, and I've been told that they all use this weird predatory type of arrangement.There's a reason why this apartment complex has MULTIPLE negative posts about them on BC/S Reddit. Extremely unethical.
