On June 10 I was looking for a part for my circle track racer - a transmission bellhousing from a 1983 - 86 **** Ranger. Within minutes of entering my search info online, I received a phone call from ********* at Quality Used Auto Parts. She told me that they had the part and would sell and ship it to me for $275. After several e-mails, texts, and phone calls, I received a photo of the piece I was buying. I agreed to the purchase details and gave them my credit card number. They called me to verify the shipping info and told me the shipment would be within 5-7 days. On June 11, I received an e-mail saying they were cancelling my order because the part was not available. I had a contract - they made an offer, I accepted it, and provided my charging information. My guess is they never had the part and, when I used a credit card with an AI generated number, making it impossible for them to steal, they cancelled everything. I want the part they agreed to sell to me.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:My original complaint still stands. I desire no response from the vendor but want my complaint available to anyone searching the BBB for information about the company. They said they had the part, they contacted me several times during that day to push the part on me, they even sent me a photo of the part. After getting my credit card number, they told me they did not have the part and cancelled the order. Very poor business practice, and I still believe what they really wanted was the card number. When I used a virtual card that cannot be stolen, they cancelled the order. I'm done with this company.

Auto parts company represented that the part was OEM. They did not disclose verbally in the order process that the part was used. Also, represented that tge part would be delivered in 2-3 days part didnt arrive until 8 days after it was ordered. Finally they did not disclose their 25% restocking and freight cost during the order process.Business Response

Hi, Every single point listed out by this customer is a false claim and a lie. Bleow are real details about this order and I have attached documents to validate it.
We only sell Used Auto parts, we have never sold new parts, this is clearly listed on our website, its listed on the invoice, this was also verbally mentioned twice on the phone call at the time of purchase.
Our shipping timeframe is 5-7 Working days, estimated shipping time for this order was 23rd May and the order was delivered on 22nd may, order was delivered in time. The shipping time frame is also clearly mentioned in the invoice.
We offer a 30 days warranty on all parts, our warranty covers parts that are damaged defective or incorrectly sent by us. For orders returned due to personal reasons a 25% restocking fee and shipping charges are applicable. This is also clearly mentioned at the time of purchase and is mentioned in our invoice. Customer wants to cancel this order as they no longer need the part hence a restocking fee is applicable here.
I have attached the order invoice, it shows that this was a used part, it shows shipping time frame, it also shows parts returned due to personal reasons will attract restocking fee. I have also attached the *** proof of delivery.

I made the order on a part last week on Monday. It was suppose to get to me in 7 days and total costing $600. I called 3 days later to get a shipping track # and they said that the part was going through "quality control". Now 7 days later they are telling me that the shipping will be $200 more because of the address I gave them. I am not even sure if the answering center is in the ** as they all sound like East Indians.Word of advise, don't waste your time with this company.Business Response

The initial part we selected for you did not pass our quality inspection, we made several attempts to source an alternative part and the next available options were located on the **********, leading to a significant increase in shipping costs.There are rare instances where we, or any other business, may be unable to complete an order due to real-time challenges (as mentioned in the email with your price quote). In this case, we had not yet charged you and informed you of the price increase before finalizing the order. We never sent you a tracking number as the part never shipped.

I ordered a part, and specifically gave them the part number. I told them I was not sure if the part name but the mechanic gave me the part number. They verified they had it and I ordered it. The invoice has the specific part number I ordered on it. The part I received was not this part number. They are ***** of to give me a full refund because they say in one of my recordings I referred to the part by a different name (even though I told them I was not sure if the exact name of the part, only the part number). They sent an incorrect part, it does not even match what they themselves wrote on the invoice and the shipping email. I believe they knew they didnt have the correct part in the first place and meant to scam me. I see on their reviews that others have had the same problem with them. I would like a full refund. I have taken pictures of the part and paid to have the part returned.Business Response

Hi, the customers claim is only partially correct, customer did provide a part number however he clearly asked for a Body Control Module. We have this on all call recordings and its also mentioned in the invoice. This is exactly what was shipped out. It appears that the customer is looking for a different part (keyless entry pad) this is not what was ordered.
So customer unknowingly ordered a module for the Keyless entry but turns out that they need the keyless entry pad itself.
This being said the customer has returned the part, we received it yesterday evening. We will be processing a refund today. The ticket will be closed from our end.

November 2024 Placed order for a customer for a transmission. Received transmission and installed but was bad. Transmission was delivered with dirty oil in it and metal shavings. Called and got a replacement transmission. December ******************************************************* customer vehicle. Now the transmission is overheating and they are telling me it does not have parts that are clearly on the transmission. Messed around with back and forth calls and now they are stating out of warranty period. Not quality parts or customer service. My customer is now out $2000 for a transmission and out a vehicle. Hi, this is clearly a false claim and misrepresentation of the entire situation. we would like to clarify the events surrounding your order to ensure transparency and accuracy.
Original Order: On November 5th, you purchased a used transmission for your ****** SX4, which was shipped promptly and delivered to you on November 15th.
On December 4th, customer reported issues with the part. As per our warranty policy, we requested service documentation. Despite the discovery that the part was "Misrepresented" as Refurbished" to the mechanic, which it was notit was clearly sold as a USED transmissionwe still proceeded with a replacement at no cost. Additionally, we extended a goodwill discount of $250, even though it was not required under the terms of our sale. The replacement part was shipped and delivered on December 12th.
On January 17th, over a month after receiving the replacement, customer reported issues with the second transmission. By this time, the warranty period for the part had expired. Despite this, we agreed to provide a second replacement part as a gesture of goodwill, going beyond the obligations of our warranty policy.
Throughout this process, we have worked diligently to provide resolutions that exceed our standard policies, including multiple replacements and significant discounts. It is disappointing to see such a misrepresentation of the facts in this complaint. We value fairness and honesty, and we believe we have done everything in our capacity to address this concerns.

I am rejecting this response because: Your time line is not correct as the warranty was told to be ***** days and you are only giving 30 days. You also did not offer a refund or solution to this issue until after this complaint was filed. After this complaint was filed you agreed to send another transmission. Yesterday, 1-28-25, you emailed and stated that you are now not sending a transmission and are refunding the money. You did this without a phone call or notification. Last I had heard prior to getting the refund email was that a transmission was being sent. Again you did not agree to any of this until after a complaint with BBB was filed.

Hi,
Customer is clearly making a false claim again. At this point we have provided two Transmissions, customer claims the are both bad. Customer has shared service document simply written on a ** word as a proof of their claim which is not even a valid document. Customer has shared the exact same document both the time.As per our warranty terms parts must be installed by a certified mechanic, in this case it appears a local mechanic is trying to install this. (this is based on the service document). Upon reviewing the service document we discovered that the part was misrepresented as a remanufactured part, it was clearly sold as a USED transmission. In addition we issued a refund of $250. All this was done in December way before the BBB complaint was filed.
On January 17th, over a month after receiving the replacement, customer reported issues with the second transmission. By this time, the warranty period for the part had expired. Despite this, we agreed to provide a second replacement part as a gesture of goodwill, going beyond the obligations of our warranty policy.
Upon reviewing the entire order and based on the document shared by the customer we are unable to provide another replacement as per the customers requirement. We have now cancelled the order and issued a full refund. This was emailed to the customer real time.
I am attaching the service document shared by the customer, you can clearly that its not a legit document, you can also see how the document is the exact same both the time. I am also attaching the warranty policy that clearly shows 30 days from the time of purchase. Providing just because the proof can throw some light of the false allegations made by the customer.

I am rejecting this response because: I have attached the two different service letters that were provided. I was only asked for a letter on letter head nothing else. Both letters were provided with requirements that were given and signed by mechanic. Our shop has been open for four years and has no complaints or issues listed on it. Our mechanics are all more then qualified and nothing was stated that it had to be a certified mechanic. Also certified in what? you are not listing anything.You also stated that you have sent a full refund but we have not received it yet and you did not offer a full refund until after this complaint was filed. I have all the estimates and even complaints from the customer about the ********************** of your parts and how they are not what you claim you are sending. You have horrible customer service and it takes weeks to get confirmation of anything from your customer service and every time you talk to someone it is a different story. The amount for the refund has changed several times over several weeks.

I purchased a part for my car on 12/12/24, when I received the part 01/09/25 and had a certified mechanic @ A Anchor Automotive install it, the part did not work. I have had to pay for parts and labor costing $633.06, fluids for the transmission 14qts totaling $126.50, transmission was suppose to be guaranteed cost me $1366.00. I have contacted the business and they requested a letter from the mechanic showing the transmission was bad, which I did so to a *** name Max. They are also expecting me to pay 25% for restocking & shipping and that is not fair at all to me, because this was suppose to be a guaranteed tested working transmission.Business Response

I ordered a part on the 2nd of December paid extra to get it overnighted was to be here on the 3rd. Then they said the 4th. Then on the 5th they said they would ship it and it would be here on the 6th. Never received a tracking number. Purchased an Axle for 2002 ****** Tundra. They purchased from another party (Junk yard) We paid ******* for this part, The customer has only 400 miles on this part, and our customer brought it in for not working, we called Quality Auto parts and the part is 9 days out of Warranty AS they said to us. and they will Do NOTHING ! Customer picked up his car Oct. ******** from us. We called Nov. 18th 2024. Very DIS-Satisfied with them. Nothing was offered to us . now we are stuck with ******* Part that we will need to pay out to make it right for our customer. We are Sole proprietor, one man shop, I cannot afford another axle. Id like to clarify that all our parts come with a 30-day warranty. This particular part was delivered to you on 27th September, meaning the warranty period was valid until 27th October. Unfortunately, we received your inquiry on 18th November, which is 21 days past the expiration of the warranty.
As a result, were unable to accept returns for this item. Ive attached a copy of your invoice along with our warranty policy for your reference, which was also disclosed at the time of purchase.

Then Called me, As they were Only 4 ply, Not the 10 Ply which I ordered. YOU Falsely Advertised these as a 10 ply. I now have these Tires Studded (which the picture Showed Studs IN Them) I paid Another ****** To Get them Studded! as a 4 ply Tire. At this point I am Stuck With Them ! You Advertised them WRONG.

I ordered a fuse box for my 03 Navigator, gave part number and location of the part on 11/11/24 and paid for express shipping.On 11/13/24 I received a ECM (electronic control module). Nothing close to what I ordered. The part number and location does not match the info I gave when I placed the order. Called and inform them that this part is not what I ordered and was told the correct part would be shipped out by end of day and will be delivered ********** is 11/18/24 and I have yet to receive the correct part I paid for.Was told that *** has not picked up the package. *** says there was a label created but there was no package to pickup. Called for my refund and keep being told they have to check this and check that. I've missed 4 days of work waiting for this business to send either the correct part or full refund. I ordered a fuel pump with sending unit. I talked with *****. He guaranteed the part to fit. For a 1994 ****** Maxima. However it would not fit. Called the company and they have not returned my call or text either one. I paid $280 for this part that will not fit. And he said it would.
