Big-Top Roofing & Remodeling, LLC advertises they offer warranties and guarantees, specifically they advertise, "Using only high-quality materials and the latest construction techniques, we guarantee durability and style that lasts.” BBB Code of Advertising states, that when using the term "warranty" or "guarantee" in product advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to the sale at the advertiser's location, viewed on the advertiser's website or, in the case of mail or telephone sales, made available free on written request. BBB requested Big-Top Roofing & Remodeling, LLC modify their website to disclose how a consumer would be able to view the warranties prior to the sale.
Big-Top Roofing & Remodeling, LLC advertises on their Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/AustinMetalRoofer, “Metal roof Price guarantee- we’ll beat any written price you have by 10% guaranteed.”
BBB Code of Advertising states when advertisers offer a price match guarantee, the offer should be made in good faith, include all necessary information to take advantage of it, and not place unreasonable burdens on the consumer who wants to take advantage of the offer.Big-Top Roofing & Remodeling, LLC advertises on https://www.thumbtack.com/tx/austin/roofing/big-top-roofing-remodeling-llc/service/495823384309792768, "5 years in business" and on https://www.austinbusinesswoman.com/big-top-roofing-remodeling-llc, "Year established 2008". As BBB found conflicting information on different platforms, and a Business Start Date of less than 2 years was provided to BBB, BBB requested the business clarify their Business Start Date.
As of January 23, 2025, Big-Top Roofing & Remodeling, LLC failed to respond to BBB's request to substantiate, modify, or discontinue the advertised claims.
