Unacceptable service. Unsafe conditions.EMS Home Services was assigned to us through our First American Home Warranty after our AC went out on June 11, 2025. They diagnosed a failed compressor on June 13 and charged us $665 out-of-pocket on June 18. Despite their claim that the part would arrive in 1 business day, they did not place the order until June 20, and we waited nearly a week for it to arrive. They finally installed the new compressor on June 28 and it failed within 24 hours. A technician came out on June 30 and confirmed that the replacement part was ************ of July 7, we are still without AC, and EMS has provided no clear update, no scheduled return visit, and no resolution. Weve endured three full weeks of extreme summer heat with temperatures on the upper 90s, relying on a single portable AC unit for our entire family. The conditions have been hazardous, and the customer service has been negligent and unprofessional.EMS has missed deadlines, failed to communicate, and left our family in unsafe living conditions during a heatwave. Their excuses change with every phone call, and their follow-through is non-existent.I do not recommend EMS to anyone. If your home warranty assigns them, request a different provider immediately.

I Would leave 0 stars if I could. Filed a claim with FAHW Twice, and they sent EMS out. The guy they sent, ****** i think his name is, both times. Both times said the contract I have is explicitly mechanical failures and the issue I had was NOT mechanical. after looking the contract over, I can clearly see ****** was lying to my face because the issue IS covered by the contract (Being my air handler wont drain properly, and the air handler is explicitly covered). I was also charged an absurd amount for simple fixes. I am taking this complaint as far as i can, starting with the BBB.

EMS Home Services is horrible. They partner with Choice Home Warranty to scam customers and take ****** money! *** make you pay thousands of dollars prior to getting your home repaired and then never show back up with the equipment that needs to be installed for your A/C System. Make sure to file against them with the ***************************** to hold them accountable.

My landlords home warranty company contracted this company to repair the ** units on his lot. I rent one of the two units. The technician that came out, ******, was extremely rude. It was very clear he didn't want to work, as he was already getting in his car to leave only 2 minutes after ringing my doorbell. He said the work order was only under unit A (I'm unit B) and he was simply here to look at my ** but do no repairs until a new work order was submitted. He called my leasing agency and requested a new work order. I was able to find the work order that I received for my unit, and repeatedly tried to give it to him. Each time he refused. While on the phone arguing at my leasing agent for a new work order, I again politely attempted to interrupt to provide the work order. At first he didn't move, didn't even glance my way so I figured, as I can be soft spoken, that he might not have heard me. I said it slightly louder and he barked at me "YOU DONT HAVE THE RIGHT ORDER" I said "I was just trying to be helpful" and he barked, yet again, "YOU'RE INTERRUPTING MY CALL". If it wasn't for knowing my landlord and leasing agent, this would have ruined my relationship with my leasing agency. Instead, it has now damaged my trust in the home warranty company as they are contracting with companies that have 1.6 stars on ******. Do not use this company. If your home warranty company gives you an option, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY. It doesn't matter if they're inexpensive, their work is cheap too

We have a home warranty through First American Home Warranty. EMS Home Services is in-network for **************. When we filed our claim (4/13/25) it took EMS 5 days to get to us (4/18/25). When the guy came, he was in and out of our backyard in only 2-3 minutes and the only test he did was the voltmeter on the capacitor. He did not test our freon pressure with a pressure gauge and he did not check anything else outside. He came into the house and immediately started saying that the whole unit needed to be replaced and said that carrier is a garbage brand. He then went into our attic to look at the air handler/blower. He was up there for all of 3 minutes and came back down and told us that the lines had corroded through and all the freon had leaked out. He said that it will cost us $2,000-4,000 out of pocket that the warranty will not cover. He said if we decide to go with the warranty company system and not upgrade that it will be 4-6 weeks. He then tried to upsell us and said if we go with an upgraded system that we can get it in the next couple of days.We decided to get a second opinion and the guy from the second company diagnosed a seized up TXV valve and likely need a new compressor in the condenser. We submitted his diagnosis and photos to our warranty company. They sent it to EMS and EMS lied and said they never received it. Our warranty company was so shocked that they closed out our assignment with *** and assigned us to another company. *** was unprofessional and we will tell everyone we meet to avoid them at all costs. When someone's AC system goes out and they have a warranty, the last thing they want is a gross upsell and delaying install because of not being able or willing to upgrade. And the lying is WILD. Also, when I spoke with a manager, they would not give me a cost breakdown of the part they wanted to charge me for and what my warranty company would cover. I told him I do not want to pay for repairs that won't solve the problem. Horrible.

I usually do not leave reviews, but I was compelled to do so. This is the ************* ever. DO NOT USE THEM. The Technican instead of diagnosing the A/C issue and providing his findings to my ***************** he took it on himself to informed me that the A/C issues was not covered under my contract, I ask him how did he know, he showed me his phone with a statement that said not covered, total scam. He offered to fix it, but I had to pay him prior to him start working on the issue. I agree but in the process he broke my attic Ladder, and did not complete the job, was very rude and unprofessional in the process. My warranty company was also informed that the job was completed which was untrue. I have filed a complaint with my home warranty company. DO NOT USE THEM.

Worst company ever. DO NOT USE THEM. I have filed a complaint with my home warranty company which assigned them to repair my AC unit, which *** also inspected this fall. *** has said repeatedly that they have ordered the wrong part and repairs have been delayed for 3-weeks. This company is scam as they only have a "call-center" like operation and no management on site to discuss matters. DO NOT USE THEM.
