    I would have given ZERO IF I could. No transparency. There was a default 15% tip on my charitable contribution that was automatically added and had to be disputed since I didnt agree to tip anyone. They imply that the tip is going to the charity but it goes to the platform despite the fact that they claim they are providing their service to the charity without fee. Total SCAM! Consumer Fraud. Hurts consumers and legitimate charities. I will never make a donation on this platform! A fee should also not be a percentage of the donation. Can you imagine if a credit card tried this stunt.?

    Without any notice or explanation, Givebutter canceled my account. Donor money was refunded BUT I was left to provide an alternative way of donating.

    Hi there! I'm sorry this came as a surprise to you. We reached out to you on 5/13/25 and again on 5/15/25 to request additional information. We had noticed some unusual activity on your account and needed identify verification so you could continue using Givebutter. Since you didn't reply after seeing those emails, we were forced to close your account down due to heightened risk indicators.

    If I could give Givebutter zero stars I would. They released my private information including my home address, telephone number and email to another user which I certainly did not authorize. They responded to my complaint of a serious security breach in a very insincere and glib way with ridiculous emojis and no real course of action. I will never donate to a charity using this totally unsafe platform again. Be careful. Your information is not safe with Givebutter.

    By default the 15% tip checkbox is selected, unless user explicitly deselects. Which means by default they hope to charge 15% of your total raised fund. I will notify the organizer to be aware of this issue.

    I'd like to give a zero rating!! Give Butter should be ashamed. We are a non-profit and had our annual fundraiser. Loyal donors placed winning bids for a silent auction, entered zero for a tip, and were shocked to find large tips were charged by Good Butter. This is a shameful business practice, especially trying to take advantage of donors for a non-profit.

    Paid money through Givebutter for a charity event and left the tip amount blank. After processing Givebutter added a ***** tip amount. Givebutter claims they don't require a tip for its use. I started researching Givebutter and have read many reviews that are bad. This business needs to be investigated considering being tied to fund raising.

    I have been trying for 3 days and many hours to resolve an issue with a transferring of bank accounts from my personal account to that of a business account. The information being sent to me is information I have already read but hasn't worked. I need more help but all I get is "they are separate from the Stripe account that I am referred to use and to go to their Stripe Express site" where the same thing happens, referred to problem solving info that doesn't solve my problem.I assume human beings work there and have access to phones in order to call me but that doesn't seem to be an option.If I had a business that was connected to another business I'd make sure there was a way they could communicate to resolve issues when non techies need help.They have been a wonderful site tonuse as a donation site but problem solving is very poor in my circumstance.

    We would never use them again. We've never had a chargeback in years, and have had two with a short time on this platform. Beyond that, they've caused so much confusion between our organization and a donor, which is still unresolved.

    This is not a review, but a query to Givebutter.Why did it ***********+ months for Givebutter to response to the complaint. They need to do a better job for people to feel secure in giving money to responsible causes.
