  The owner, *****************************, runs a well-documented scam where they take orders for items, keep your money, and never deliver them to the purchaser. Do not buy from this store or support this business. I purchased from CTGW to support a local shop only to find out they have an established pattern of running the same scam. Read the other reviews. The only way to get your money back is to file a chargeback with your bank/credit card company because CTGW will promise to and never issue a refund.My order was placed in person at the store on 7/15/2024 with a 1-2 week promised delivery timeframe. I called and went into the store once a week for 9 weeks and was told every time by *****************************, the owner, that they received the item but I was "skipped over" and it would be in "later this week" and they would call me to come pick it up. He refused to give me shipping info and gave me this same message 9 times.This exact thing has happened to at least dozens of other people as evidenced by ****** and reddit reviews.After seeing the reviews and reddit accounts of numerous other customers exeriencing the same scam, I successfully received a chargeback from Chase **** 9/16/2024.

  Deceptive Practices and Unfulfilled Orders Disclaimer: Read Reviews and Do Your Research!Potential Customers: Please read this review and others before making a purchase. This store has a pattern of taking money without delivering products.I am writing this review to share my deeply disappointing experience with Central Texas Gun Works. I purchased two guns from their online store on 7/3/2024, which were listed as in stock and available. Upon calling the store that same day, I was informed that the items were not in stock and needed to be ordered. I was assured that they would arrive the following week and was advised to check back on 7/11/2024.Despite this assurance, I was not contacted by the store on the promised date. When I called them, the owner informed me that the items would take another week and asked me to check back on 7/18. I was on vacation that day and followed up on 7/23, only to be told once again to wait another week and check back on 8/1.On 8/1, after calling the store, I was told that only the owner could look up order numbers and that he would call me back. Anticipating further delays, I decided to visit the store in person. Before doing so, I checked online reviews and discovered a concerning pattern of similar complaints. Many customers reported waiting months without receiving their orders or refunds, having to resort to chargebacks through their credit card companies.When I visited the store in person, the owner made me wait for 30 minutes before informing me that the order was still not available and might take another week. Recognizing the pattern described in other reviews, I chose not to argue. Instead, I initiated a chargeback through my credit card company. The dispute for products not rendered is now under investigation by my bank.I strongly advise potential customers to avoid doing business with ***********************************************************************.

  Purchased a weapon in July and have been told every week it'll be ready Friday or Monday. ******* "gave me his word" and his word has been nothing short of a lie. Do not buy anything from these guys.

  *******, the owner of the store, is attempting to steal customer's money, and the store needs to be shut down.After 2 months of not receiving any email, any updates, any texts or phone calls, I reach out to the store. ******* answers the phone. He asks for my order number, which I have to dig up, and informs me that it should be here "by next week", and that he will call me when he receives it.Next week, I give him another call, asking for the status. Almost acting like we had never spoken, he states that it should be there "by the end of the week".I ask for possible tracking or more specific info, and never receive it.This game continues for a couple more months. It has now been 4 months since I've placed my order. I've called well over 20 times.It was at this point that I came to read the reviews of the store and found that not only am I not the only one, but that this is a COMMON occurrence.From reading the reviews I decided it was far past time for me to simply request a refund. ******* states that I will get a refund processed within a few weeks.I call the next week and ask for a confirmation email of my refund, and he states that HE NEVER ISSUED THE REFUND, THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH "THE SYSTEM", AND THAT HE WOULD DO IT NOW.He blatantly lied the week before that he had issued the refund, and if I had not called him he wouldn't have.Weeks pass again and I receive no update and no refund.It turns out that the only way you will get your money back is to dispute the charge directly with your credit card (if you pay with cash, you may be screwed and have to take him to court).When I reach out to my credit card, to check if a refund has been issued and processing, it turns out that THEY NEVER EVEN RECEIVED A REQUEST TO REFUND. He lied again, blatantly, even sending an email pretending to have issued a refund.Luckily, things run smoothly on the end of my credit card dispute. 5+ months from purchasing from CenTex, I finally have my money back.

  DO NOT order a firearm from this business!!!I placed an order on January 4 of 2023, and as of today ( June 28,2023) it has been unfulfilled. I have gone in person, sent emails, called and spoken to the owner to no avail.I dont understand what is the problem with this business and not being able to fulfill their gun orders. I feel cheated, victimized and idiotic. It is apparent to me now that this store does not care about their customers. I even told the owner that I would take some other gun that they may have in store as a replacement, but did not get an answer to that either. The owner claims that he refunded my money several times but it never seems to go through.What do you call a business that does not provide you with the product that you purchased from them or a refund? I dont know but that is no way to treat any customer. I have learned a valuable ******* I hope some out their reads this and just goes to a real business that will actually take care of them.

  These guys are lazy as h*** Had a firearm shipped to them for an FFL transfer and went in to pick it up. Immediately was treated like a bother with did we contact you? You need to wait till we contact you apparently they need time to process the firearm. What does that mean? To type some names and addresses into their system? Now theyre just gonna sit on my gun because no one wants to work. Terrible shop, poor service FFL, all around terrible decision to work with these guys. Will not have anything shipped here again.

  We receive 100 firearms a day. As an FFL, we have to physically type into a system the manufacturer, serial number, model, type, where it comes from, and all of the personal details of who it belongs to. With our volume, we do that faster and cheaper than anyone else in town. The majority of all items arrive by 2 pm. *************************** your firearm arrived around 1 pm. We finished your firearm at 4:30 pm and sent you a text message. Also it would be helpful if your drivers license was not expired for over a year. It's a felony if I transferred the firearm to you.

  Yall are full of s*** Since when do ****** need to be drivers to own guns? I brought you my LTC and thats all you need but you insist on dragging your feet on this. Maybe if you spent more time processing than reading reviews at work you wouldnt have this issue. Thats why yall have 1.5 stars on here. Call me for my f****** gun so I can never enter your s*** store again

  Purchased firearm online on 11/04/2022, no communication from them. I had to call weekly to request an update. I was always told it would arrive the following week. Finally, requested a refund in January 2023. Firearm purchases from their website are definitely sketchy, do NOT recommend.

  staff was knowledgeable and friendly But, like what others have said. do NOT get something off their website. 2 months and nothing happened, even after calling and coming in store. If this happens to you, go on your bank account and report the payment as 'late/no goods received
