  The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government's allegations, which have not yet been proven. 

  
  

  On July 25, 2018, the Department of Justice indicted 12 individuals in the U.S. Attorney's Office for Southern District of Ohio for conspiring to conduct the affairs of the moving companies through a pattern of racketeering activity, consisting of multiple acts of wire fraud, theft of an interstate shipment by carrier, Hobbs Act extortion and identification fraud. According to the indictment, President Moving and Storage LLC was one of the 14 moving companies involved.

  
  

  Charges filed allege the defendants owned, operated and worked as employees, members and associated of the affiliated moving companies. It is alleged that the defendants executed the scheme between April 2013 through July 2018 to enrich themselves by stealing from customers who hired the moving companies to move their household goods.

  
  

  According to the indictment, once customers agreed to hire the moving companies, employees of the moving companies would allegedly load the customers' goods onto the truck and then bump the price of the move. Under federal regulations, in a binding estimate a customer and the motor carrier must both agree in writing to a charge for services prior to the start of any work. When an estimate is binding, USDOT prevents interstate carriers from raising the price of the move after loading customers' items.

  
  

  Additionally, it is alleged the defendants and moving companies would refuse to give back household goods until customers paid the inflated price. If a customer did not pay, it is alleged the defendants, in some cases, would steal the customer's households goods and never deliver them.
