My doctor ordered a 90 day supply of my medication and they only sent me a 30 day supply. When I called to see what happened they said I switched the prescription from 90 to 30 days which is impossible. After being on hold for over 40 minutes I spoke to jaiva who said she was going to listen to the tape and promised to get back to me. That all took place in December I haven't heard from her since. When I disputed it with my credit card company maxor told them I could only get a 30 day supply because it is refrigerated. That is also a lie because I was getting a 90 day supply before this incident. My doctors office said they ordered a 90 day supply and my insurance company said there was no 30 day limit on my medication. Now they are saying that the doctor only ordered a 30 day supply Three separate lies. They are the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with.

We certainly apologize for any confusion experienced by our member regarding his December 2024 order. We did additional research to see exactly what transpired with the order and listened to the call that came in from the member to approve and arrange for the shipping of the order. We are confident that the member was fully aware of the day supply of medication to be shipped, and the co-insurance required for the order. We also reviewed his employer benefit plan design, and the co-insurance amount charged was accurate for a home delivery order. Since January 2025 the member has been receiving his medication locally. In order to demonstrate good faith, we are refunding him the difference between what he paid in December and what he is now paying locally. We have been in contact with the member to discuss this and he should receive his refund check within 21 days.

They deny each medication that my body needs and offers medications that cause more side effects. I'm not impressed at all with Maxor. They have not done anything positive for me this past year. They have taken more than allowed time to get back in touch with my specialty providers. They don't know what is best for the patient. They don't observe the patient, they don't know the patient, we are just 1 of many that they just deny first, ask for criteria that they've already been given, which gives more unnecessary work to do, and they still deny it. They waste as much time as possible, while the patients are suffering and in great need of the medication that their doctors know will help the patient get well. Medical and Pharmacy insurance's are becoming the worst scam and people expense and the government allows it. Shame on them.

      We
are sorry to hear of Ms. N.’s frustration with the prior authorization process,
and completely understand how this process can be unclear and challenging.  In general, a prior authorization is required for
certain medications to ensure that it is medically necessary, clinically
appropriate for the patient’s indications based on FDA guidelines and plan
coverage.  In Ms. N.’s situation, the
prior authorizations were handled appropriately and according to published clinical
      guidelines.  Prior authorization timelines
for review and determination were met according to governing standards.  The original determination was appealed to an
Independent Review Organization (IRO) which upheld the determination.  Ms. N. and her physician were notified of
the determination along with all relevant information explaining how the
determination was met. MaxorPlus is a URAC accredited pharmacy benefit manager
and as such we are required to inform Ms. N. that she has the right to contact
her plan sponsor for additional complaint review.

I tried to refill a 'script for an item Maxor has provided me over the years. The first bump was prior authorization required, which was strange to pop up suddenly. I was bounced over from their home delivery service to the Maxor folks who do these authorizations. Finally after about 47 min on the phone, I was informed I did not now actually need an authorization for the strength of the active ingredients I have been getting for several years. The lady in authorizations connected me back to home delivery allegedly explaining our 40 plus minute conversation to home delivery and her decision; home delivery was supposed to now fill the 'script. I talked with the new person, I have now been on the phone 48 minutes. Guess what, back to square one. At 51 minutes I had to end the conversation. This is not a way to run an important business, and changes have to be made for better care of the people that depend on this company.

Thank you for the feedback and opportunity to review your experience. First, I want to apologize for the long call experience you had when calling our MaxorPlus contact center. It is our goal to give each caller an excellent and efficient call experience, and it appears we failed in this particular instance.
We researched this call and found that although the Member Advocates taking the calls followed proper procedure there are opportunities for improvement that have been addressed. In the future, you are always welcome to request a callback with the results of the research instead of staying on the line for an extensive amount of time.

      Maxor Virtual Job Interview
So I was scheduled for a group virtual job interview with Maxor National Pharmacy Services. The interview was supposed to start at noon. When I logged into the sight I couldn't join the interview room.
Then they posted a message stating that since there had been so many people who had registered for the interview, they were having technical difficulties and to be patient while they fixed the problem.
I kept sending messages in the Chat letting them know that I could not join the session.
I finally received a chat stating
Well I waited a while that the recruiters were now working through chat and too be patient until the recruiters had a chance to go through my information.
I waited over two hours to finally received a message from a recruiter. This was the most ridiculous, unprofessional interview I ever had.
But I will preface it by saying that the interview time was 12pm-4pm and now I see why.

Tiffany, we appreciate your letting us know about the misfortunate circumstances surrounding the virtual job fair. We did have a system issue with the vendor who was sponsoring the job fair due to the large volume of participants who were interested in an interview. We learned a tremendous amount from this experience and what we can do better the next time. Our sincerest apologies. We will be recruiting for additional Member Advocates in the future and you are welcome to apply online at www.maxor.com\careers for further consideration.

******** ********* Pharmacy in Vermont is owned by Maxor. They failed to fill a prescription refill that was for a drug that is dangerous to stop taking abruptly. I called once and they told me it was in the mail. It didn't arrive. I called again and was told that I had filled it somewhere else. (How could I have done that?) When I questioned that, they told me it was the doctor's fault. I had three prescriptions there, not any more.

On the phone with insurance SEVERAL time for over an hour total this morning, and been to 2 pharmacies trying to fill my son prescription. This is ridiculous. Who are they to say what our doctors can prescribe our children

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. The medication in question is an excluded benefit by the patient's benefit plan through MaxorPlus. Usually this medication has to be handled by another party that is closed on the weekends. It was determined that the patient should have been grandfathered since he has long-term use of this medication. The override was extended and the pharmacy received a paid claim on 7/29/2023.

Well you CLEARLY missed my point. My point is you should not get to decide what medicine a doctor prescribes. AND, here we are again one month later, and now it is a different medicine that you will not cover, one that he has been on for a year. That is getting ridiculous…sorry correction insurance will cover about $100 we have to pay the remaining $400+. I don’t have an extra $400 a month no but medicine. GET YOUR CRAP TOGATHER and stop taking advantage of your customers. I am tired to having to fight every month for the medicine he needs.

If you like a mail order pharmacy that will just automatically charge you for prescriptions you specifically told them not to fill, then this is the place for you. The prescription I need them to fill, they won't fill because they haven't spoken to my doctor. My doctor already sent my prescriptions to them a few times. They seem to have a question about the prescription but they are too lazy to A) Contact my doctor about it or B) Communicate to their customers on what actually is going on. I get a generic email saying "there was a delay with your order." It would be great if they actually said what the issue is or give me a call. Instead, I get charged for other prescriptions I didn't even order. I've called them at least half a dozen times and I get no where. Extremely frustrating. Get your prescription refilled anywhere else.
