Amy ***** continues to call my worker number which is a public service and 911 service. I have requested numerous times for her to stop calling **********. She has gotten me in trouble at work. I have requested her to stop calling that number. She stated she needed it in writing. When I requested an e-mail sent to My e-mail ( which she repeated my email to ensure it was correct) I never received the e-mail. She calls approximately 2 times a month and continues to call my work number. I also requested a copy of my bills be sent to my po box so I could include it in my debt program. I have never received a copy of any statements. She was very hateful. And claimed I have been mailed several to my po box. However if I have I don't have any copies now and refuse to pay someone who refuses to provide me with proof. I am requesting her harassment calls especially to ********** to stop. Or any phone number that involves my employer to stop! I never gave that number out. I don't even work for the number she is calling I work or a company that uses the dispatch system.
Thank youBusiness Response

I had a procedure done with ******** *********** and they never billed my insurance. I had coverage with ***** Dental, $25 copay, and they never received the claim. ** in turn sent my bill to Certified Collectors who is refusing to cooperate and instead is belittling me and trying to force me to pay the bill in order for it to be removed. Mary said that even if I challenged it with the bureaus that it will not be removed until I pay in full. I have coverage dates, policy ID and Group ID information. They should not treat consumers like idiots and provide more customer service. I am filing a complaint with multiple groups on Cert Collectors due to their actions/abusive behavior!Business Response

CCI has reviewed this information with your Dental Provider, ******** **********. You have also been in contact with them concerning this past-due balance. As you have been informed previously, ******** ********** filed your insurance as a courtesy and you are responsible to act in getting your insurance to pay. You also signed a financial agreement at the time of service agreeing to pay for the service. You set up a payment plan with them but you did not send in any payments. CCI sent you 7 notices and gave you 8 months to work out arrangements with us before credit bureau reporting. Feel free to contact our office to set up arrangements and we will update your credit report as these payments are made.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I spoke with them about challenging this long ago. They continually have tried to bully me in to paying and blaming me, the patient, for them not doing their job. When I informed them I was submitting the challenge they proceeded to try and bully me by saying there was nothing I could do. That I may have took my insurance card to the appointment, but never gave it to them. Mary said that nothing will be done until I pay the bill. According to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the No Surprise Act that was signed in on Jan. 01, 2022, patients are protected from these types of illegal collections. They are also protected under the Fair Debt Collectioms Practices Act. This covers how debts are reported in credit reports. There are state ***s that provide protections against unfair and deceptive practices. It also covers harassment by stating debt collectors may not harass you or anyone else over the phone or through any other form of contact, including text or email. The Fair Credit Reporting Act covers how debts are reported. There are also state ***s that provide protections against unfair and deceptive practices. Such as having patients sign a form or rejecting services. Then billing the patient and not the insurance. Then they try and force you to pay so they can profit of off patients. It's not our fault they use 3rd party billing and possibly not communicate with each other. I have filed the challenges with all three credit bureaus as well. I will continue to do so, because as a consumer that's our right. We must fight back against these unfair practices and we will. If they refuse to see the *** then we will seek legal counseling to see what we will do next.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
Again, I will not be bullied in to correcting their mistakes. This business is trying to use their form of financial responsibility, because they either failed to file a claim like the insurance stated, or they just don't care if someone has insurance and file their bills however they want. They don't care if someone doesn't have insurance! They just care about themselves. As patients, especially those in almost unbearable pain, come in to get help they will be rejected if they don't sign their form. Then they turn and "accidentally" forget to file a claim with the insurance. When patients are in so much pain, they will sign or do anything to get relief. It is not the patients fault if the personnel in their office do not do their job and file claims. My insurance sent me to them and said there would be no problem. In normal situations, They should have checked with the insurance before doing surgery on me. I worked at the VA business office and my job was to verify insurance, it's standard procedure. I will have my insurance send me a document stating they never received a claim and what they would have paid. My responsibility and theirs. As a consumer we aren't being protected from these bullies. That's the feeling I am getting right now. We have rights and that's what I'm fighting for. Protection for not just me, but other consumers who have had to deal with this business of organized crime and unorganized practices. They are taking no responsibility for their mistakes. From a consumers prospective, it's because that's how they do business. They don't for patients and their rights! They only care about their money and will try to get it by any means possible. They're as crooked as they come and we need to be better protected from business practices like theirs. I will go as far as I need to for help with this. If the BBB can't help, and is willing to sidestep the problem, then I will take other actions. I have already started with the three bureaus, ********* ***, and with the BBB and I'm willing to go further to protect us patients.

The company is a debt collector, who has failed to provide detailed information about the "debt" owed by an original creditor. Owner Stephanie and associate, Mary Rae, have violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), a federal law, which has already been reported. Additional legal action is being taken to ensure the harassment, abuse and fraudulent claims do not ever happen to anyone again.Business Response
