    We moved in Oct 2nd 2023 to our home. we found a broken corner put together to cover up the damage on the kitchen island granite top and we claimed it the second day we moved in. We paid $11000 on upgrade to a higher level granite and grand home gave us a damaged granite. The warranty department didnt give us answer on it. They keep saying the the corporate headquarter people are working on it but still dont have answer. We never expected such a terrible job from a Grand home. Its been over 2 months since we claimed we still dont have answers.

    Our experience with Grand Homes has not been a good one. There were various issues but the most pressing one is that we closed in December 2023 on our home. During the week prior to closing, we had an independent inspection of the house that revealed an ** unit blowing hot air while in **oling mode. We were told that and other items (non-grounded outlets, bathroom lights that were not **nnected to a switch, a dishwasher that would not close, etc.) had been repaired. Come March, the temperature starts to rise and the ** doesn't work, fire is sparking out of the dis**nnect switch and the breaker is tripping. We filed a warranty claim. HV** ** points fingers at electrician who **mes out and **nfirms the problem is with HV**. HV** **mpany tries to tell me it is not even possible that a faulty unit would cause a breaker to trip. Finally, HV** **mes out and on doorbell camera tells me that they knew the unit was defective in December but just never did anything to fix it. Now, 10 days later still no working **. GH claims HV** ** (****************) lied to them, then they insinuate I am lying until I produce video of tech stating they knew back in December. GH has started a warranty claim but I still have no idea when it is going to be fixed. They should have made certain the problem was fixed in December instead of telling me it was just to get the house sold in December. Then, when they became aware that there were no parts immediately available they should have replaced the entire unit. But, for the re**rd this is not the only issue. The installation box for the chandelier above stairs wasn't even **nnected to anything. Light fell **mpletely out of the ceiling. No bolts, screws, anything **nnecting it to stud in ceiling. Maybe some of their builds are good but it will depend on quality of oversight on the project. Would not re**mmend anyone build with them and clearly it is a safety issue and not **nfined to overpriced, poor quality upgrades.
