I'm writing to formally request a full refund of $1,400 for charges related to a home warranty that I was conned into purchasing that I did not need as I already had a policy on place when I purchased my home (3/12/2024). They mailed me and called me and told me my coverage was going to expire and needed to be paid immediately. It looked like the same name of the warranty company I purchased with the home and so I set up a renewal process and they started deducting monthly payments from my account. It wasn't until my ACTUAL home warranty company reached out to me 1 month before before my real warranty expired to set up a renewal.(2/6/25) This made me question my actual home warranty company and through some researcher discovered together that Global Home USA had scammed me. When I called to confront them on 2/6/25 they gave me limited information and told me I can' only get a portion of my $1400 back(even though I never made a claim during that time) . I had to go thru this process of faxing a letter to number ************** and ask for a pro rated portion of my money back. They said once my request is processed it will take 12 weeks for a refund to be issued via a check by mail. I still have not received any refund and it has been 12 weeks. This is nothing but a scam

This company sends scam letters pretending to be from my mortgage company. My lender info displayed prominently, at the top of the document as well as through the window on the envelop as if they were the sender. Only upon close investigation is it clear that this did not come from my mortgage lender. The letters include scare tactic language such as "Final Notice" and "IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUESTED" in large bold lettering. Misleading information in the letter makes it seem you must contact them because they are pretending to be from the lender. Repeated "please respond immediately" in bold. No website or additional information on whatever they are selling, they just want to get you on the phone to scam you. Please force this company to cease and desist in their scam sales tactics and tell them to take me off their mailing list.

Constant mailings which is worded to where I thought I was in big trouble with the bank and my mortgage. This should be against the law. Called twice last year to remove me off the mailings. The mailings stopped then started right back up again. Then harassed on the phone when I asked again to be taken off their list. This has to stop

Predatory/Fraud/Scare Tactics Letter in mail "Final Notice" "Response Requested" "Important you contact our offices at ************** to avoid delays before X/X/XX"The sender of the letter is "Home Warranty Division *********************** with no address.I called and they said they are the Administrator - Warranty Global Group and the warranty company website is ************************ that he had to confirm. They referenced their A+ rating on BBB for *** which is correct but that is only the company you sign up with. I asked for details on the policy and they said they can only send the details after I sign up and in the first 30 days I can call to cancel. This is a deceptive way to run business and creates a shield/shell company to keep a good rating. Later when customers file complaints they are listed under other company names and claim that they *** is only the administrator so the claim is for another company. This is a total scam!

I purchased a home warranty from Warranty Global Group on 4/11/2024, covering household appliances and select pool equipment. Since purchasing the home warranty, I have had three instances of indefensible Washing Machine - In approximately August or September of 2024, my clothes washing machine would only turn on briefly and power off. I called the home warranty company on a Monday, and by Friday I had not received a response. I called back and they explained they called the service provider and that I was on the schedule for the service provider to arrange a schedule to come evaluate the issue, and that I would hear from them later that day. I did not. I called the following Monday requesting a different provider...they said they called the current provider and that I was still on the schedule to be scheduled. I called the next day, finally got a different provider, and a week and a half later a part was replaced. I then received a text message from the original provider about scheduling. Pool Pump: While I was working around my pool, I discovered smoke billowing from the wiring harness on the pool pump. I shut the pump down to prevent further damage. My wife called and left a message on 10/21. I followed up 10/28 and 1/31 and left messages because the calls only go to voice mail. I also called the business phone number and left a msg there. Dishwasher: I called 11/17 night and left a message regarding my dishwasher not entering a cycle. Although it hasn't been 2 full business days, I still have not heard back. I expect their strategy is bait and switch, promise but not deliver. The contractual recourse is arbitration, which charges suspiciously close to the limits that the home warranty will pay out...Im financially better off sucking up the breach of contract than pursue rightful arbitration. This company and service is a scam. I just want them to do what we agreed to in the contract. This is the last stop before additional escalation.

Received a :notating "Home Warranty Division - Private and Confidential" with no company name. Referenced 2024 "Final Notice" for a home warranty siting "lender info: ***************". I have no idea how they obtained this information which is quite concerning. Customer ID referenced is ********** with an expiration date of 11/20/2024. Phone number referenced for ***** ********, program director is ************. I called this number, a man answered identifying himself as *****. I asked for company address several times. He refused to tell me. Said they did not need me to send them anything. He refused several times stating they did not have a address as he worked from home. The smaller print at the bottom references "Superior Home Protection is not affiliated with you current mortgage holder. Home warranty administered by Warranty Global Group".If they are a legitimate company, why would this man not give me their address? How is it they're associating the property with ***************?Feels like a scam and has be exceptionally concerned.

When we purchased our home we purchased a home warranty for one year. This was to cover outlined issues with appliances etc. In July 10 months into our policy we attempted to file a claim for our aircondtioning unit which seems to have had a leak. The warranty company advised that they do not have a provider in our area and we would need to call around locally and find one. We called every sing ************ with in an hour and a half radius of our house. They all stated they will not work for this home warranty company or any home warranty company for some. We reach back out to the Warranty Global Group and advised them of the issue. they were unable to do anything in regards to this. We requested a cancelation form for our policy and mailed this is in. We were told to allow time for processing and arrangements. We gave them until the end of october for resolution. I contacted the company again. During this call they said there is nothing they can do the policy ended. We are simply asking them to refund our premium because we were unable to use the policy for what it was intended for. There have been no other claim attempts on the policy since mailing in the cancelation request to the po box they provided. It is possible this got lost in the mail. that being said though there is a paper trail a mile long of our intent to cancel . Since the company was unable to provide the service we paid for due to lack of contracted providers in our area we asked them to refund once again. which was met with a supervisor escalation to someone who was not available. We did not ask for any additional money for time and trouble trying to locate a provider to work with them. We did advise that if a refund is not issued we will take the matter to court for breach of contract and deceptive sales practices for offering services in an area they can not physically cover.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 11/12/2024

The company finally called me back . After confirming they had no techs in the area that worked with their company they told me I should have paid for the repair and they would reimburse me for it. I explained that was not the purpose of purchasing a home warranty. This was purchased to provide peace of mind should something come up such as my AC needing service in the middle of summer. They offered me a 16 dollar refund for a policy that they were not able to provide service on . I couldn't even find a tech that would come out and estimate it for the company. They confirmed several times its not that they didnt have a contractor in the area it is just that they dont have any companies in the area willing to work with them. Regardless of how they want to word that it just simply means that they sold a policy in an area that they could not support. Had i not needed this policy then they would have kept the premium with no issues but due to the fact they were unable to provide the service i paid for i want a refund for my premium paid. My next step is awaiting a call back from legal counsel . If a refund is not provided i will seek punitive damages as well as we sat in the house in the middle of summer with 3 huskies . While working to find a contactor to resolve the issue we had to result to window ACS for the huskies that we on leading to increased electric bills . the cheapest bill we had from july on was 756 . I await a reply thank you

    To Whom It May Concern:

We received Mr. ***** complaint regarding a ******************* Agreement (herein referred to as RSA) contract referenced above for the property at ***************************************.

After a review, on July 8th, 2024,Mr. **** spoke to an adjuster from the claims department and was advised that they could not find a service provider that would work directly with Warranty Global Group. Mr. **** then stated he would find his own provider. On July 12th,2024, Mr. **** spoke to the claims department, and he stated that he couldnt find a provider that was willing to work directly with the company. He requested to speak to the customer service department because he wanted to cancel the policy. A cancellation notice was emailed to Mr. **** on July 12th,2024, and requested for Mr. **** to either email or mail the form back to Warranty Global Group. According to the customer service department, the letter was not received either by mail or by email, if so, Mr. **** would have received a pro-rata refund. Mr. **** then contacted the customer service department after the contract expired, which was October 11th, 2024. He was advised that the cancellation letter was not received. On November 13th,2024, a representative from the customers service department called Mr. **** and offered to either pay him the pro-rata refund using a cancel date of July 12th, 2024 (date the cancel notice was mailed to him) or he could send the customer service department the invoice for the repairs regarding the claim (if approved by the claims department) he would be reimbursed for the repairs. Mr. **** refused to accept any offers.

Attached is a copy of the policy highlighting Section 10. Cancellation.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 11/20/2024

I am rejecting this response because:   A home warranty was purchased for the time period of one year. This policy was sold in an area where this vendor knows they do not have companies available to work with them. The purpose of a home warranty is peace of mind and is sold with such intentions that it provides peace of mind. As i was unable to make a claim against the policy i simply asked them to refund the entire premium. i did not ask for anything additional. Had i not had to make a claim for this policy they would have been able to keep the premium as nothing was needed. Due to the fact that the very first time i tried to use this policy they were unable to assist. Asking for a full refund is not extreme. I am doing so because when i called them they stated they didnt have any providers in this area i would need to find my own. When i tried to find my own every ************ in this area stated they would not work with this company for home warranty coverage. It was not for lack of trying. I called every single company that came up on ****** with coverage in ********** ****. Since the company was unable to provide the service that i paid for i simply ask that they issue a refund for this. This is going to be my last attempt to resolve this matter out of court. I am perfectly fine to pursue additional pain and suffering from not having Air conditioning in the middle of summer until external units were purchased. I am also happy to attach the increased electric bills due to this as well. This is  a very simple request. I purchased a policy the company was unable to honor their policy . It is not their fault or mine that the first cliam came in july. That being said if the first claim i tried to process was unable to be honored why would i pay for an entire policy period for services that could not be offered.

Hopefully we can just issue this refund and be done with this. If not i understand and am prepared to do what is required to help stop predatory and misleading sales practices. I would be curious to see how many polices are sold in areas they do not have contracts with contractors or repair companies. If noone has to make a claim they get free money. Really curious how many folks have been ripped off by this company

Received multiple deceiving letters about my home insurance expiring, and suggesting urgency and that this is required by my mortgage lender. Almost fooled my wife, but I got suspicious as we never had home warranty insurance since we bought the place and it's a newbuild. A ****** and helpful BBB website search confirmed that Warranty Global Group pushes this well known scam to sign up unassuming homeowners to their expensive and horrible home warranty product. They should not be allowed to send letters like this that look official and make statements that are deceiving and untrue, and then brush it all off with the very fine print at the bottom or back of the letter and then when confronted by the BBB they say it was another (affiliated) provider that acted maliciously, not them. In my case, the fine print says the letter comes from "Oasis Home Protection" but ADMINISTERED by Warranty Global Group which gives them the convenient excuse that Oasis is the culprit not Home Warranty Group even though they clearly are closely affiliated. Once the complaints pile up, they close Oasis and create a new affiliate. Remove me from ALL Warranty Global Group mailing lists immediately, no matter who their scummy and ficticious affiliate is. I am also filing a complaint with the ***********. Warranty Global Group's licenses and permits in the state should be revoked for deceptive practices right now! Thanks God we didn't fall for it, and thank you to BBB for always helping consumers!

This is a convenient excuse when it's clear that Warranty Global Group encourages these predatory and misleading mailing.

To refute, can you confirm that the company that mailed the notice (Oasis Home Protection, in this case) has NO AFFILIATION with Warranty Global Group and that you have NO CONTROL over their mailing lists?

I look forward to your reply. I am NOT satisfied that you are doing everything in your control to stop these unsolicited and misleading letters to me.

Received a letter from US HOME GUARD affiliate of Waranty Home Group telling me that my home warranty is expiring. Don't have a home warranty or any other business whatsoever with this company/Group. They are telling me that, failure to call could result in loss of coverage. This is a big scam.
