Do not pay Bunns Roofing till after the 1st storm!Last year we hired Bunns Roofing to replace our shingle roof, soffit , facia and gutters to the tune of more than $ ****** and for the most part they appeared to be professional until it came to the soffit and gutters. The guy they had in charge of the gutters really wanted us to buy gutter guards but we repeatedly told him we did not want gutter guards because we have pine trees in our yard and pine needles plug up the guards. When we got home that day they had already installed the gutter guards. We asked them to remove them but they refused saying it would leave holes in the gutters. They then left without fastening the last section down. When they started on the soffit, everything looked fine at first until they got to the back porch where they did a terrible job cutting around receptacle and light fixture boxes. Also, instead of trimming around the electrical conduit, they cut the conduit, exposing the wiring, in order to run their trim behind it. We spoke to *****, the owner, and he agreed to not charge us for the gutter guards and to fix the issues with the soffit and gutters so we paid him in full but no one ever came and he has refused to take our calls or return our calls. We were even able to get a phone number for *****' dad from friends who said he was the previous owner and is still involved with the business and he said he would certainly tell ***** to contact us. Still nothing. Then with the first high winds we really saw what an awful job they did on all the soffit and porch ceilings. Trim pieces blow off again and again. The ceiling sections fall down out of the j channels and now less than a year later the roof is leaking every time there is a heavy rain! We have finally given up on getting any response from *****. We have fixed the roof ourselves. We have fixed the gutter guards ourselves and it looks like we are going to have to hire someone to to redo the soffit and porch ceilings.
