Ladies, do not give them business - I made a service appt for my mower & after I left the store, they gave my phone number to a sole repairman & he called me - I did not ask /approve of this. They highly recommended him & reluctantly bec. he could come to my house, I agreed to let him diagnose my mower-that was in perfect working condition when i last used it 3 weeks ago, but would not start last week. He replaced a solenoid & I placed a new battery on the mower. when I turned the key, the battery started smoking & i got off the mower & then it started on fire in my garage where my pets were & within 3 feet of a gas can & car. luckily a garden hose was nearby & I put out the fire twice. I reported to midstate what happened & asked them to pick up the mower as I initially requested. THEN they asked me if I bought the mower there & I said no, & they THEN told me they don't service mowers not bought there- I reminded them they did not ask me that when I made the appt., but they refused to honor their commitment. I also informed them of the fire & obvious defective repair (or solenoid that was bought from them) & asked them for help which they refused & told me to leave their shop. Note, that a male customer was granted nearly 2 hours w. the female shop worker even though he told her he was not going to buy anything- she continued to deflect from meeting w. me & allowed him to discuss personal bus. unrelated to mowers, etc. Yet, she granted me less than 10 mins. before telling me to leave & stating she would call their lawyer. SHE SHOULD HAVE offered to resolve the issue w. their rec'ed repairman & repair my mower if poss. or provide a new one. I am a female & have no working mower, am facing spending $ to repair it or buy a new one & I have no income. I hoped that laying out the severity of the issue might garner some empathy from her but she turned "ugly" quickly. I also informed her that their rec'ed repairman threatened to take my property if I seek relief in court
