  The post about this "contractor" below dated 7/26/23 is almost spot on to the experience we had. We hired him to do a bath remodel and there were so many fundamental and correct ways to follow the "building code" that were completely ignored it was awful! He put a shower together from the pan to the "finished" tile work. Since we are not contractors, how would we know that he wouldn't put a water barrier on....or that he put tile up that was bare adhere to the backing. the supposed "grout" or whatever was used was falling off in CHUNKS!! There was such an awful smell coming out of the room but we didn't know that he had cut the bathroom venting pipe off and shoved a few paper towels and painters tape over the opening!!! The shower handle itself was loose and if we had used the shower, even once, there would have been a major flood! the supporting floor had a large hole in it from the previous shower.....which anybody would know that it needed to be replaced to support a tiled shower....it was never done!!! the shower pan was put over the top of it so of course, we couldn'[t see that. After complaining about the work he was doing and the dissatisfaction with how the tile was even done, we decided to tell him he was done since it "looked" done, we paid ***** only to never use it and and it quickly started to fall apart! This man said he was licensed and insurance but HE IS NOT!!! Please beware! I have pictures of the things that he had done, and its mind boggeling how someone like this sleeps at night!

  This "contractor" performs poor workmanship. He did not follow codes and refused to refund any of the $1400 deposit he needed to start the job. He showed up to work and didn't have most of the tools he needed so he had to borrow ours. We supplied ALL of the material. He used drywall to shim the durock in a shower and was going to use a water soluble adhesive to tile the walls. The drain was off center and not to code. He was on his phone all day and was even going to hire someone he didn't know off the internet to do the tile. We fired him after day 2 and he refused to refund any money. We had to tear out anything he did which was a waste of materials we had to pay for.
