On Tuesday April 22, I attempted to purchase tickets to a $555.92 Pirate show for my family while on vacation. In doing so, I realized some suspicious attributes while completing the order online. I soon realized that the company I was working with was not reputable or the same as the venue we were supposed to attend the Pirate show. It was, instead a 3rd party company that incorrectly reserved the tickets (5 adults, 3 children instead of 4 adults and 4 children). When I called to cancel the order 10 minutes later, I spoke with ********* who refused to refund me for the transaction despite ********* advising me that cancellations can be completed within 48 hours of the show (the show is scheduled for Friday April 25 which was within the 48-hour cancellation policy). After multiple attempts to cancel the order, I ended the phone conversation and immediately notified my credit card company to dispute the charges. On today’s date, Thursday April 24, at the request of my credit card company, I made another attempt to cancel the order and spoke with “***** *** ****** who also refused to cancel the order. I also noticed a plethora of negative reviews for this company. After multiple failed attempts to rectify this matter on my own, I decided to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.Business Response

This customer placed her order online for 8 tickets, one of the children was 9 or above and this particular show charges for an adult ticket in that instance (their policy not ours) When the customer called in on 4/22 she was given options to cancel she refused to select one, by the time she called back in on 4/24 the cancelation period had expired, and the venue had been paid. She could have still at this time elected to go to the show, but chose not to. She has place a charge back on her card and we are awaiting the results.Initial Complaint

On April 21, 2025, I ordered 7 tickets for Sleuth Mystery Dinner Show in Orlando under a buy one get one promotion with “free cancellation.” After I placed the order I was informed I would receive an additional email with instructions on how to print “vouchers” that could be presented at the door. When I did not receive the email to print the vouchers I called Vacations Made Easy and was informed the email was resent along with a text message. I did not receive the email or text message and was told they “did not go through.” I was informed that I go could go to a welcome center on International Drive to pick up them up. In reviewing other BBB complaints for this company the welcome center appears to be a ploy to get customers to purchase additional tickets or sit through a vacation timeshare presentation. I am not interested in that. I tried to cancel the order but the company only refunds 65% of the total amount due to a processing fee. I am requesting a full refund as the terms and conditions are not clearly stated upfront and the business practice is deceptive.Initial Complaint

I am in Virginia at the natural bridge and caverns.
At first. Sites took me to Virginia. When I booked the caverns, apparently I had accidentally booked Texas! As soon as I got the email confirmation, it was clear what my mistake was. I immediately called hours before the experience. They would not accept any kind of refund. I admitted my mistake. And on the email ( uploaded) it does not state Jon refundable.
On their voice mail - they immediately say you must remain polite and calm. So clearly this is a typical experience for this company. Do not use!!!!
I would understand if I just didn't show up, but I am 14 hours away and made a mistake that could easily be fixed. I have contacted my credit card company.Business Response

Purchased tickets for a dinner through vacationsmadeasy.com. The website and the confirmation email clearly stated that the vouchers for the dinner were available to print. Later, I got an email saying the tickets had to be picked up in person in Orlando. I live in NJ. When I called them and read the email that said I could print the vouchers, they simply refused to acknowledge the email or refund the tickets.Business Response

On 09/19/24 I ordered 2 adult and 1 child ticket to The Hatfield and McCoy dinner show in Pigeon Forge TN for 10/2/24. On Sept. 27 Hurricane Helene devastated Western NC making travel impossible for weeks. I called as soon as I could find cell service to cancel my order and receive a refund. Told that no refund was possible, but I could receive a gift certificate. Great, received the gift certificate. So I called today to rebook for June and was told there was a $30 processing fee. NOWHERE does it state that there is a processing fee. Argued with the customer service rep that there was no mention of any service charge. At this point I am done with this sleazy company.Business Response

I was trying to buy tickets at a web site for dpstampede.com and somehow was redirected to a vacations made easy site when trying to purchase the tickets. I attempted to call. as they would not provide a digital ticket. And then also tried to get me to buy additional events and say that I was eligible for two free tickets. I attempted to call, They could not explain to me how I ended up on their website rather than the one I was trying to buy from. The whole situation made me uncomfortable and then I read that many others had a similar experience. I just want any reservations made cancelled and my money credited back to my account.Business Response

I made an online order for a pontoon boat ride in Myrtle Beach, SC. Immediately realized that I had booked the wrong dates and called their phone number within 3 minutes of making the order to cancel. They offered me two options, either a gift certificate which would be useless to me, or a 65% refund to my card. Nowhere on their booking page does it make clear that there are no cancellations. I will dispute this with my credit card company, but wanted to make this report as their business practices are unprofessional and not made clear when booking through them.Business Response

At Vacations Made Easy we book thousands of guest to diffeent events in Myrtle Beach some of the tickets we sell are non refundable, but on this order we might have been able to change the dates, or he could have accepeted the gift certificate and used it to get the dates he wanted? Purchased a vacation package to include a four night stay in a the Howard Johnsons by Wyndam at Pigeon Forge. Safety was not a concern. Lock broken on door, given master key to enter room after assigned keys didn't work which were both left in an unsecured mailbox by the highway. Room had no heat which was not repaired. Staff/owner rude and unprofessional. Told us to get out of motel after voicing our concerns. Called police to have us removed. Vacations made Easy made no attempts to aide us during this dilema by moving us to another hotel. They kept informed. Sent email requesting refund for the nights left(3) because we had to find somewhere else to stay. No response.December 23-27.Business Response

This customer was offered another room by the hotel staff and she refused to move. Eventually according to the hotel became so unrully that the police had to be called and the customer was asked to leave by law inforcement. I am rejecting this response because: The hotel manager asked us to leave after I voiced my concerns about the room and lack of care. We had already agreed to move to the room chosen. We simply asked for time to get some food before doing so..She stated "you can just leave and I will refund your money." Debbie(Vacations Made Easy) was on the phone as this was unfolding. She questioned why the hotel manager called after things were settled with the move. She later stated that this was not the fault of Vacation Made Easy but the blame was on the hotel. I told her that I held you(Vacations made Easy) responsible because you all decided to partnership with such a miserable dwelling. I had no voice or choice in the matter since you all selected where I would stay. I just want the money back to cover the hotel room that I had to pay for after being asked to leave.

I ordered two tickets online for my husband and me for a cruise along the San Antonio River Walk. This business spammed me with an additional email trying to get me to respond to other services offered. This was the first red flag. Then I learned through an email they did not provide me with the tickets via email; rather we were going to have to pick up vouchers first at some location other than the cruise itself. This was the second red flag. I contacted them the very next day (today) and asked for a refund. They refused to refund my money and proceeded with the charges of $40.91 for the two tickets which I've since learned would cost me less at the actual cruise site...third red flag. I've also learned they are essentially a timeshare company trying to scam people into attending a presentation to which we are very adamantly are opposed. At the very least, this company is dishonest and out to make a profit for themselves without any concern as to how they treat customers.Initial Complaint

I was ordering tickets to the San Antonio Riverwalk for four people and somehow got redirected to Vacations Made Easy. The agent was helpful. I asked if I could cancel the tickets and get a refund if I needed to because my son was having ankle surgery. He said, "Yes, you can get a refund for the tickets but not for their service fee." I bought the tickets with a credit card for $76.55 on August 23, 2024.
I called 11/13/24 to cancel and get a refund. The agent said the tickets were NOT refundable which is the opposite of what the person from whom I bought the tickets said. I am not happy that I was lied to and I am not able to get a partial refund.Business Response

At Vacations Made Easy we sell thousands of tickets each week to customers around the United States our terms and conditions on refunds are clear in the case the time frame to get a refund had passed, however in the interest of good faith and since the tickets have not been used i am issuing a refund on the Riverwalk tickets.
