We had reservations to stay at the Mountain Aire Inn for 2 nights. We got there and Grace, the lady at the front desk, continued to say “Jesus Christ” as we were trying to get checked in and get our rooms together. She was very rude and was yelling. We finally got the keys and started taking our luggage up the ramp and noticed the mattresses outside the back of the building. We thought maybe they were remodeling but once we got in our rooms, we opened the door that was between the 2 rooms and a bedbug was crawling up the door. Then we got to checking around and found a dead bedbug. We took both of them to the front desk and Grace continued to be hateful and said that they have had a bedbug problem and just got new mattresses 2 days ago. We told her we wanted our money and we would find somewhere else to stay. She couldn’t refund us since we went through booking.com but she told us to contact them. We contacted booking.com and they have called twice now and Grace has been rude to them both times and hung up on them. Grace asked us to please not tell booking.com that one of the bugs was alive. Booking.com has also reached out via email and the hotel won’t respond to let them know about the issue so we can get a refund. I have called and asked Grace why she hangs up on them and won’t just tell them the truth and she tells me she is checking people in and doesn’t have time and hangs up. I have requested a call back from a manager multiple times but never receive one and I’m always told he isn’t in office anytime I call. Between the terrible service, hatefulness, the bedbugs and other dead bugs in the room, I do not recommend this place.
