1 starWe stayed in one of Aunt Bugs Cabins in the beginning of May. It was so extremely dirty!! I had to clean both bathrooms after we drove for 10 hours to get there. The shower floor was brown in the one bathroom and there was so much hair on the floor. Behind the bathroom door was a pile of dirt, dust and hair that had not been cleaned for months.
There were spider webs that were pretty thick throw out the whole cabin. The floors throughout the whole cabin had not been cleaned in a very long time, our socks were black within a couple hours of walking around. The upstairs I’m sure had never been cleaned.
I used paper towels to wipe off the railing coming back downstairs and they were black with just one wipe coming down the steps.
I DO NOT recommend to rent a cabin from this company.
I called to complain and they sent the cleaning people the next day. She wiped the shower out with dish soap and washed the floor with plain water.
The floor did look better but it clearly wasn’t even washed with water before we got there.
Both blinds in the kitchen were broken and one kitchen chair had a broken leg.
The company promised us a free night voucher for all that was wrong but at almost a month later and 3 calls to them, we still didn’t get that.( not that I wanted to stay in one of their cabins again, but it was a promise they made and didn’t keep it)
We get one vacation a year and I am very disappointed that we wasted it staying at a Aunt Bug’s cabin.
If I can attach pictures, I will gladly put them on here.Aunt Bug's Cabin Rentals, LLC

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we sincerely apologize for the condition of the cabin during your stay, as it does not reflect the standards we strive to maintain. We understand your frustration and truly value your feedback, as it helps us improve and ensure accountability with our cleaning and maintenance teams. Whenever issues are reported, we do our best to address them promptly by sending out the appropriate teams. Regarding the free night voucher, I’m not certain what may have occurred, but I do see that a VIP card was mailed to you, which offers multiple discounts throughout the year, excluding major holidays, July, and October. If you haven’t yet booked your next vacation, please feel free to contact me directly. I’d be happy to assist you with a great deal and ensure your property is pre-inspected by our professional cleaning company before your arrival. My name is ******* and I’m the Customer Service Manager. Thank you once again.Review fromSonya C.

1 starThe cabin was expensive and not fit for an animal. We arrived on 12/26 to a clog toilet in our bedroom area and to this day 12/29/2024 it is still clog and full of poop. They send a technician out every day and all they did is provide excuses and no solutions. The gas fire places did not work. The beds was old and uncomfortable. The television remote had batteries that were no good and the technician had an excuse that he was on his vehicle and we needed to go to store to buy batteries. Everytime he came out he had a excuse today was I would go to office to get parts but I just had stitches put in.Review fromBrandy B

1 starIf there was a 0 this company would have received it! They only show the good reviews from a year or so ago! I really think someone lives in this “cabin”/house! The inside looks nothing like the pictures! It was so filthy my 11 month old granddaughters feet were black in a matter of minutes! There was a razor blade and razed on the mantle of the fireplace. In one bedroom the doors were off the hinges! The couch was so filthy I put my own blanket on it and the bed. The comforter looked like it hadn’t been washed in months. I had to make up my own bed! The top sheet was 6 inches from meeting the foot of the bed! Nasty brown coffee stain on the stove. Dirty microwave. The “media” rooms dvr player was missing, as well as the amplifier that makes the surround sound work. So we couldn’t even take the screen from upstairs to the media room and use it. The hot tub had not been drained and refilled in who knows how long. We kept hearing a terrible noise from the hot tub. My husband looked and realized the water was several inches below the jets. I immediate called and sent pictures asking to be moved. They could move me for another almost $400! By this time my kids had booked their own much nicer and newer cabin for a less expensive price! I found a less expensive cabin that was also pet friendly in another area since them we could be put in a smaller cabin. I was informed they don’t give any money back! But again I could be moved to a nicer cabin for more money! They sent someone to clean. She didn’t speak English and we couldn’t communicate. She had to mop the floor 3 times! She wiped down 1 door. They were all black! She cleaned 1! The hot tub was slimy, the filter and floater needed to be cleaned! All of the base boards and windows had dust and dirt an inch thick! There was crayon on the walls.. I sent in 17 pictures but it was not enough to “make a case to be moved” ! They ruined my family trip and my 50th birthdayAunt Bug's Cabin Rentals, LLC

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback. We're truly sorry that your recent stay did not meet your expectations, particularly given the significance of the trip with your family. We understand how frustrating it must have been to encounter issues with the cabin, and we apologize that our attempts to resolve the situation through additional cleaning and maintenance support fell short of your needs. We also recognize that you were exploring alternative options, and while we did present available upgrades with additional fees, we regret that these did not offer the solution you were hoping for. As our properties are individually owned, switching cabins often requires rate adjustments, but we understand that this did not align with your expectations. Please know that your feedback is invaluable, and we are sharing your concerns with our management and operations teams to help improve both our cleaning protocols and the clarity of our listings. We apologize again for the impact this had on your special celebration, and we appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention.Review fromBeverly C

1 starI posted a review on Aunt Bug’s Cabin Rentals and it was a terrible review!! READ BELOW! Their response to me is the same as they respond to everyone else that has a complaint!! Yes, they did offer to send us to another cabin, which based on these reviews, would have been just as nasty as the one they rented to us originally! That cabin was so dirty, dusty and had mold in the bathroom. They sent their cleaning crew, 1 man and 1 woman, to clean after we had been there arguing on the phone for almost 3 hours with Steven, GM. The cleaning people told me they could not clean the mold, or remove the curtains that were filthy black, when they were white in color! I told Steven I have allergy induced asthma and am very allergic to dust the mold is a health hazard. I offered to bring my medical report from my Dr. We wasted a whole evening trying to get something worked out with the office. We had unpacked everything and had to pack it up again. When I rented the cabin in April 2024, I was not told the cabin would be dirty, dusty and have mold in it. I was not told I was going to be bothered with cleaning people coming in my first day there. I have filed a dispute with my bank to help recover my ******* from Aunt Bug’s Cabin rentals and I encourage anyone that rented from them and had a similar experience to mine and could not stay in their rental, contact your credit card company or bank. File a dispute. I also contacted the chamber of commerce in pigeon forge and they gave me a number to a place to call and file a complaint, which is in Sevierville. I filed a complaint there and emailed all the pictures I took of that cabin, including the mold. My review on Aunt Bug’s page has all my photos I took there. Don’t give up and just let them keep your money if the rentals were so nasty you couldn’t stay in them and had to move somewhere else and pay out another few hundred dollarsReview fromBeverly C

1 starThe cabin we rented had not been cleaned. It was extremely dusty and dirty. Mold is in the shower. Curtains that are cream colored are black with dust. Dining table and chairs were filthy. We could not stay there due to the mold and dust and had to leave, after unpacking. I called the rental office and they refused to refund our money ******0 even after the cleaners told me they could not get it cleaned and remove the mold that evening, after the company sent them out. I have severe allergy asthma and was already coughing and wheezing when I took pictures of the mold and dirt in the cabin to the rental office. Please do not rent from them. We spent 3 hours trying to get something done and then they offered us another cabin, which we declined because we didn’t trust them and didn’t want to waste anymore time. I offered to send a medical report from my Dr stating how bad my allergies are. Still, they would not refund our money. PLEASE DONT LOSE YOUR MONEY LIKD WE HAVE!!!Aunt Bug's Cabin Rentals, LLC

Thank you, we appreciate feedback from each and every guest. We strive for an excellent experience for all of our guests. When the issues were brought to our attention we had the contract cleaning company there within 30 minutes. When this did not resolve the issues to your satisfaction, we offered to move you to another property, and you declined. We did everything within our power to make your stay enjoyable.Review fromKenn G

Thank you for your valued feedback. HVAC systems can break down without any given notice during times of extreme heat. We had a technician on site as soon as we were able. We do apologize for this inconvenience with the upstairs loft area. I see where upper management spoke with you and issued a refund to the credit card we had on file. I hope this was agreeable and we see you all again in the near future. Thank you.Review fromRick D

1 starFilthy cabin, no working fire detectors even though it had a fireplace. I will upload pictures if allowed. Horrible experience renting from AUNT BUGS. They are super nice in the beginning and don't care once they get your money! I had to go to the store upon arrival and buy bedding because everything was stained and soiled. The pots and pans even had rust in them. Bugs and spiders were everywhere. Black mold was all over the bathroom, back porch and the rocking chairs on the porch, couldn't sit in them. It was super gross! Seriously people, if you rent a cabin, you'd notice these things if you checked on your rentals. There was dog poop all over the yard. I don't understand how Aunt Bugs gets away with renting these filty cabins and just responding...
"we're sorry you had a bad expereince, blah blah blah..." I will put reviews on every site I have an opportunity to for the rest of my life, I'm so upset about the way Aunt Bugs handled this. They just don't care! Stay away from Aunt Bugs Rentals!Review fromCarol F.

Smoke detector going off upon arrival. We had to go get batteries to stop the alarm ( 8:00 pm ). Missing TV remote. Dead batteries. Sink on Level 1 broken. At midnight, the hallway smoke detector went off. We called the number listed. They told us there was nothing that they could do until the next day. They brought remote and batteries, fixed sink and alarm. Insulation falling out from under house. TV in living room, level 2 and level 3 bedrooms not working properly. The TV in the loft and deck does not work. The door plate going out to the level 2 deck is missing a screw. The 3 rockers on the deck are splintered. No patio furniture on level 1 deck. No broom, No mop, No pot holders. A kitchen table chair is broken. The temp on level 2 controls the air for level 1, it is 15 degrees hotter on level 1. The toilet on level 1 is not sealed to the floor – it moves. The window sills have water damage. The shades in all the rooms have water damage. The 2 sofas are sinking in. One of the pool sticks broken. There are spider webs everywher. One set of bunk beds have ¼ inch plywood for support- the bottom bed is missing a bed slat/pole. This is very dangerous. Black mold on the second and third level deck. There are yellow jackets on second and third decks. There is rotted wood on the second deck. My son was looking over the rail when chunks of wood fell off. It is rotted. He could have fallen off that deck. There are NO garbage receptacles. You have to load your garbage in your car and drive it to the office dumpster. This cabin is listed as a three bedroom cabin, it is NOT. It only has 2 bedrooms. One compact washer/dryer for 16 people ??. There is a sofa and a chair in the living room for a 16 person cabin. We took the 2 rockers to level 1 to watch TV because it was the only TV working. There are 3 fire places that do not heat. We called about this and was told – you have central air and heat and they light up.Aunt Bug's Cabin Rentals, LLC

We are glad that they got these issues resolved. We have reviewed the remaining issues you brought to our attention, and we are taking immediate action to rectify them. Our maintenance team will be addressing the following today: Exposed installation, Second deck damage and mold, Lack of patio furniture, Broken pool stick, TV input settings (if confirmed), Loose door plates, Unstable toilet, Unsafe bunk beds, Water damage on window sills, Splintered rocking chairs on deck, Worn-out sofas, Absence of pot holders, and a broom. We can confirm that the unit is a full-size stackable washer and dryer. As a token of our apologies for the inconveniences you experienced, we would like to offer you a complimentary night's stay at any of our 1 to 3-bedroom properties. This voucher is valid for one year and can be redeemed at your convenience. We appreciate your understanding and value your patronage. We hope you will consider staying with us again in the future.
