    After reading the good reviews we chose to come here-which was a mistake. Our campsite smelled like sewage and they didn't bother to mow. We arrived late because the gps does not take you there and they don't bother to tell you that when you make reservations. It smelled like sewage. The office was closed by the time we set up and I'm not sure what you can do about the smell. We left as I wasn't about to spend my vacation smelling my neighbors sewage. I called and left a message that we left because it smelled like poop. They didn't even bother to return our call- they already had our money for 5 nights so didn't care. When we finally got a hold of them they were extremely rude. We told them we were going to leave a review and they didn't care- just said remember they could comment back. ?? Not sure exactly what that means as we are just stating the facts. They then said we could come back and they would give us a couple of the nights free. My husband said no- we wouldn't return after they were so rude. Customer service here is the worse I've ever experienced in all my time camping. We were not there 1 hour and they kept the money for all 5 nights. I realize we signed a contract but they didn't meet their end of the deal either: they had told me it was a very nice resort. It definitely was not. In addition, I had ordered a pull through site and that is not what they gave us.

    We give each person an envelope at check in or in the late arrival box. On that envelope is an emergency number to call if you have any issues at all. You did not call the number or make any attempt to contact the park prior to leaving. If there had been any problems with the sewer, it would have been nice for you to let us know. Instead you just left and couldn't believe we would not give your money back. You stated that your neighbor commented to you about the smell, but upon checking it turns out that your neighbor never complained to us and also stayed several days before and after your visit. Had you contacted us, we might have been able to move you to a different site or remedy the problem at your site. After we told you that you would not be receiving a refund you threatened to write a bad review. We offered to allow you to come back another time and we would make sure you were in a site of your choosing. You stated after your conversation with management, you would not be "comfortable" coming back to this park. We do everything we can to accommodate our customers and as other reviews state, our staff is always helpful and friendly. But sometimes we can't do anything to please a customer. You say you were not with us an hour, so it would be difficult for you to judge the park or the staff. We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations but the offer is still there for you to come back and allow us to show you a great time at our park.

    As a customer- it is not on me to tell them their sewer is messed up. Them stating that in the response continues to show that they need some business and customer service classes. It may have "been nice" but I was on vacation and not willing to waste time going back and forth or moving to another area in a park that can't maintain what they have. Nor do I want to waste my time coming back to the same park that stunk and provided me with extremely poor service. There was no "threat" of giving a bad review, but a statement letting them know our next action in advance. We did not state the neighbors complained to you about the smell. I don't keep up. What was said was that when they asked why we were leaving and told them - we they acknowledged that they had also smelled it in the area. The fact that you feel one hour is not suffice to judge a place/staff is concerning considering you are a business. I assume you've never judged a store or a restaurant based upon staff, smell, cleanliness in less than one hour... I will not return to the camp ground. You are right that you can't please all customers. Unfortunately, businesses misrepresent what they are offering. You very much misrepresented what you were offering when we paid.
