purchased truck that after driving 60 miles from place of purchase had many big problems. asked for a refund and was told no.

    Business Response

    Date: 12/27/2024

    Hello,
On November 25, 2024, we sold a truck to a gentleman from *********
He initially visited our lot and took the truck for a 10-mile test drive, during which everything checked out fine. He wanted to look at two other trucks but ultimately decided to proceed with the first one. He left a $500 deposit to hold the truck while he arranged his financing, and we informed him that the deposit would be non-refundable once the purchase was completed.
A few days later, he returned with his wife, and they finalized the purchase. I have attached the bill of sale and the required "AS IS" forms for your reference.
Although we sell all our vehicles "AS IS" due to the expiration of their manufacturer warranties, we also provide an extended warranty that covers the powertrain and other key components, at no additional cost to the customer.
The customer seemed satisfied with the purchase at the time. However, a week later, when he went for an oil change, the mechanic informed him of a small coolant leak in the turbo. He contacted us, and although the vehicle was sold "AS IS," we offered to address the issue. He dropped off the truck on a Saturday, when most shops were closed. Nonetheless, we managed to get the truck on the lift, confirmed the leak, and replaced the hoses connecting to the turbocharger, which resolved the problem. We also replaced the spark plugs, as they were due for replacement, to prevent any future issues for the customer.
The customer had already driven the truck for more than a week and approximately 200 miles, though he mentioned he had only driven it for 60 miles.
All of our legal documents clearly state that the vehicle is non-refundable. However, the extended warranty we provide covers major mechanical issues.
The reason the customer is requesting to return the truck seems to be that his wife did not approve of the purchase, though we have no confirmation of this.

I have attached documents for your reference

On April 11th 2024 I *********** purchased a 2014 *** forte from dream auto. After leaving the dealership I drove 8 miles and the check engine came on. I went back the messed with it and sent me on my way. The next day the same thing happened and the car went went into limp mode. I took the vehicle back at least 3 times so they could fix it. I took it to a mechanic and paid $1k for the mechanic to tell me the engine is about to go out. Dream auto then bought a warranty and told me to wait a few weeks to contact the company so it didn't look suspicious and that they wouldn't know the problems were pre existing. The warranty denied the claim anyway because I couldnt lie to them. The *** broke down again I had to have it towed again and they said they would put a new motor in it. Said it would be a couple weeks. A month goes by and they call me and say they can't fix it. Then they want to give me a "free" car and Oldsmobile under the table so they can be done with me. All this after I posted a negative ****** review, they wanted to make it right. Well I trusted that and went and got it signed everything 3miles down the road it breaks down. I leave it and tell them they can go get it. It was junk too he turned around and said he sold it for 4k a few days later. Then they take it upon themselves to contact my loan company and say they want to trade cars on my account and give me another vehicle. This was a 2016 **** focus. I had 0 knowledge of this till the auto dealer called me and told me. I no say in the vehicle at all. This vehicle is worth less than what my loan is for the *** and was in poor shape. I tried to trust them again. I drove 1.8 miles and it overheated and the fan went out. They came to meet me and said it's my fault that all these cars are breaking down. And that is not the case going less than 30mph less than 9 miles all 3times. They take it back and a month later bring it back to me. Lights still on not running properly and bolts missing from engine
