On 6/21/23 I purchased four tires from the ****** closest to me in ***********, ********. The salesman recommended I purchase four Bridgestone Turanza Quiet Track All Season Tires. These tires had an ****** mile warranty. Within ****** I was told I needed new tires by three separate auto agencies. On 5/28/25 I returned to my local ****** when I realized there was a slit in one of the sidewalls of the driver side front tire. On this date I was told by the salesman that the tire was not available anywhere in ******** and that I really needed to replace all four tires. He gave me a quote for another recommended tire. I explained that my tires were less than two years old, and they had been recommended to me by ****** salesman. He said they (******) was in a hard position because the Bridgestone salesman told ****** the tires were great tires and so they bought them from Bridgestone to sell to their customers. I was told I was on my own. On 5/29/25 I phoned Bridgestone directly. They told me that once ****** purchased the tires from Bridgestone they held the warranty for the tires. I was told that Bridgestone knows the tires have rapid tread loss but wont take responsibility for them.Business Response

We appreciate the opportunity to respond and clarify the situation regarding the Bridgestone Turanza QuietTrack tires you purchased from ****** on June 21, 2023.
The Bridgestone Turanza QuietTrack tires you purchased carry an 80,000-mile limited mileage warranty. As outlined in our warranty manual, if an eligible tire wears evenly across the tread down to the tread wear indicators (2/32 inch or 1.6 mm) within the stated mileage the tire may be eligible for a pro-rated replacement.
It is important to note that irregular wear resulting from vehicle-related issues (such as misalignment), lack of proper maintenance, or other external factors is not covered under the Limited Warranty. Tires that exhibit uneven wear, have not been properly maintained (including regular rotations and inflation checks), or show signs of vehicle-related issues would not qualify for warranty coverage.
There can be many contributors to tire wear. Improper tire inflation is one potential cause. Even in vehicles equipped with **************************************** tires can be underinflated without triggering a warning, which is why we recommend checking tire pressure at least monthly.Additionally, certain driving behaviorssuch as hard braking, rapid acceleration, high-speed driving, and aggressive corneringcan accelerate tread wear. Road conditions and the materials used in road construction also play a role.
Please be advised that ****** is an authorized dealer of Bridgestone tires and is fully authorized to execute any warranty adjustment if the tires exhibit a warrantable condition.
It is unclear why ****** advised you contact Bridgestone directly, as ****** is equipped to handle warranty inspections and claims on our behalf.
We encourage you to return to your local ****** Tire Center so their team can inspect the tires and determine whether they meet the conditions for warranty consideration.
If eligible, the pro-rated amount can be applied toward the purchase of any Bridgestone, Firestone, or associated brand product and does not require a direct replacement.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: Bridgestone is simply not taking responsibility for the tires they sold. And neither is ******. These tires are known now to have rapid wear yet they were recommended two years ago.
I believe I should be entitled to half of what I paid. The tires only lasted ****** miles. I expect reimbursement of $400.
Sincerely,
****** *****Initial Complaint

I purchased 4 Bridgestone weather peak tire at Firestone complete auto care on 1/3/24. The tires had a ****** mile warranty with proper maintenance. My car has had regular maintenance and rotated regularly and has always been in alignment. My car failed PA inspection on 3/16/25 for tire tread less than 2/32s on the middle of the tire. I contacted the warranty department at Bridgestone and they will not cover the tires saying that there is in proper wear on the tire. The tires are faulty and wearing improperly through no fault of my own and the company will not warranty their product. After speaking to multiple places that sell the Bridgestone weather peak tires, I have found this is a common issue and the company will not back their product that has a warranty. The tires have less than ****** miles on them and they will not pass a PA state inspection.Business Response

We have searched our warranty hotline call logs and reviewed 3 interactions with the complainant and/or dealers on the complainants behalf, below are our findings.
5/19/25 - Complaint contacted the Warranty call center regarding Art# ****** WeatherPeak 215/50R17 (70k) stating RTD of 6/32 on the edge and 1/32 in the middle. Complaint is upset because the proration for the 70k tires low. Agent explained the mileage warranty and the measurements provide indicate irregular wear which is not covered.
5/19/25 - *** Strushennky from Firestone (******). Reported fronts 6/2/6 Rear 5/3/5. Agent confirmed front tires have irregular wear and are not covered, rears are above 4/32 not eligible yet for mileage.
5/19/25 - Complaint contacted the Warranty call center requesting a supervisor and stating he will contact Bridgestone corporate office, BBB and will be posting all over social media.
There can be many factors that contribute to tire wear. Improper tire inflation is one potential. Even in vehicles with some TPMS systems, tires can be below the manufacturer's recommended inflation pressure without the knowledge of the driver which is why we recommend checking tire inflation pressure at least monthly. Certain driving maneuvers can also contribute to a tire's wear rate. Hard braking, fast acceleration, fast speeds, hard cornering and the like all can contribute to the overall life of a tire;as can road conditions and the materials used in road construction. Finally, and especially with high mileage vehicles, suspension components and vehicle condition may contribute to irregular tire wear. While one may be tempted to look to the tire construction as the sole contributor to the rate of tire wear, we offer that there are many other factors that are potential contributions.
As indicated in the warranty manual, If an eligible tire covered by the Limited Mileage Warranty wears evenly across the tread down to the tread wear indicators--2/32 inch (1.6 mm)--during its stated warranted mileage (as evidenced by the vehicle's odometer),the tire will be replaced with an equivalent new Bridgestone, Firestone or ***************** tire under the following conditions for a prorated purchase price. Tires with more than 4/32 inch (3.2 mm) remaining tread depth will not be accepted for Limited Mileage Warranty bs_fs_associated_brands_warranty_manual_eng_2024.pdf (******************************)
Bridgestone spoke to FCAC who provided tread measurements for all 4 (four) tires. Based on these measurements the tires do not qualify therefore the complainant is not entitled to any warranty consideration.(2) tire with more than 4/32 and (2) tire with uneven wear, therefore neither tire qualifies for mileage warranty.
While we regret that we were unable to offer you the solution you desired, we respectfully challenge the assertions that many people had similar issues with regards to wear.
Bridgestone is proud of our teammates, our products and our reputation. The teammates at Bridgestone are your neighbors and contribute meaningfully and willingly to the community and to society. Our products lead the industry in performance and technology. And if those products do not meet expectations, we honor the commitments we make to our consumers according to the written terms that we publish in the warranty manual.
Notwithstanding that complainant was not entitled to any remedy for rapid tread wear, the invoice the dated 5/19/25 indicates the Complaint did in fact receive a prorated discount toward the cost of the replacement tires. According to the invoice, the complaint paid 75% of the current tire sales price for 2 tires and 63% of the current tire sales price for 2 tires.
Therefore,we will not offer any additional remedy and respectfully cannot honor the complainant's request to offer any additional refund or credit for the tires.
We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this complaint.Initial Complaint

I have a complaint regarding the Bridgestone tire warranty. I bought a new NX350 at a ***** dealer on April 3. On April 25, I found two small bulges on the right front tire of my car (the tire is Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02 235/50R20 and I just drive 800 miles). So, I immediately made an appointment with the ***** dealer. On April 26, I arrived at the dealer's service center and was told that I needed to replace the tire but the dealer was not responsible for the replacement cost. The service staff told me that I could take the damaged tire to the Bridgestone store for inspection to reimburse the costs. After I took the defective tire to Bridgestone (firestone), I was told that they don't care my tire because the defective tire was not sold to me by Bridgestone, I had to go to the dealer who sold me the car. then I contacted ***** and again I was told that all tires supplied as original equipment on new ***** car are warranted by the tire manufacture and ***** provide the number to contacted Bridgestone warranty. I called Bridgestone today and replied that Bridgestone could not reimburse my tire replacement expenses and asked me to come back to ***** and the dealer. I don't know what the logic of Bridgestone is. Bridgestone was passing the buck to ***** and had no warranty for the products they sold.I hope the tire manufacturer can take responsibility for its product warranty and reimburse me for the cost of replacing the tire ($449, see attachment). Thanks,Min ****Business Response

While we understand your frustration, the limited warranty process was not properly followed by the Dealer, which impacted our ability to address this matter efficiently.
It is important to note that all Firestone stores are authorized Bridgestone retail locations. If a warrantable condition was observed, the store was fully authorized to execute the available limited warranty for the tires at the time of sale or replacement. As indicated in your complaint, this process was not followed by the Firestone store, which limited our ability to assist.
Please note that Bridgestone is not responsible for the execution of the warranty by the Dealer. If your concern is that the Dealer did not comply with the limited warranty process, your complaint should be directed to the Dealer.
Regarding the presence of bubbles, these are typically caused by impact damage from potholes, road construction,or debris. Additional factors such as low tire pressure, vehicle speed, load, and maneuvering can worsen these impacts, leading to blowouts or bubbles as described in your complaint.
As stated in the Limited Warranty manual under What this Limited Warranty does not cover, improper use, operation, and road hazards are not eligible for reimbursement. For reference, the Bridgestone Limited Warranty applicable to your tire can be found online at [Bridgestone Limited Warranty].
With regard to the photos you provided, please note that photos alone cannot be used to determine manufacturing conditions. The physical tire is required for inspection, as stated in the limited warranty manual.
Based on your complaint, we assume the tires are still in your possession. As a gesture of goodwill, Bridgestone is willing to provide a *** call tag to have the tire shipped to our Distribution Center for further inspection.
If Bridgestone determines the condition is warrantable, we will contact you directly to provide reimbursement in accordance with the warranty terms. If the tire is found to be ineligible, it will be scrapped.
To take advantage of this offer, please contact our warranty call center at ************ and provide your mailing information along with reference number 1445753.
Thank you for your understanding.Initial Complaint

I purchased a new 2025 ****** Camry in August of 2024 which came with Bridgestone Teranza tires installed. Around April 2, 2025 with 7000 miles on the vehicle, a droning noise started coming from the passenger side of the vehicle which increased in intensity as speed increased. A visit to the ****** customer ********************** identified that there was abnormal wear on the two passenger tires. The dealership submitted a claim to Bridgestone to replace the two tires under warranty but it was declined. The dealership suggested that I contact Bridgestone directly to explain the issue and to get warranty replacement of the tires. I called Bridgestone at ************** on April 28, 2025 and was assigned claim Id number *******. I was transferred to their warranty customer ********************** who was very rude and indicated that the *** new tires would not be covered under warranty. These tires only have 7K miles on them and are basically new. It is a travesty that Bridgestone would decline both the dealership and the customers request that they stand behind their tires. I am requesting that they own up to their defective tires and honor a warranty replacement.Business Response

We have reviewed the communications, which includes a review of telephone conversations on this matter. In brief, what follows is our summary of the relevant content from those communications:
4/28/2025
Customer called Warranty Call ********************** and told the agent they purchased 2025 ****** Camry in August of 2024 which came with Bridgestone Turanza EL440 tires installed.
Customer reported on April 2, 2025 with 7000 miles on the vehicle, a droning noise started coming from the passenger side of the vehicle. A visit to the ****** customer ********************** identified that there was abnormal wear on the two passenger tires.
Dealership told the Customer they submitted a claim to ********************** to replace the two tires under warranty but it was declined and suggested they contact Bridgestone directly.
Warranty Agent provided Warranty information for OE tires, including clarifying tires with abnormal/irregular wear are not covered under limited warranty.
It is important to note that tires that come as original equipment on the 2025 ****** Camry do not carry a Limited Mileage Warranty which would cover mileage,in addition the Limited Warranty does not cover irregular wear as stated in the section entitled ***************** Warranty Does Not Cover,. A copy of the Limited Warranty which would be applicable for tires supplied as original equipment can be found at **************************************************************************************************************************************** .
It is unclear what the dealer meant in terms of submitted a claim to Bridgestone as we have no record of this claim.Authorized Dealers have a process to collect a tire and return that tire to Bridgestone for inspection should a warrantable condition be observed.
If that Dealer did not execute a warranty, the most likely cause is that the tire did not contain any condition that would be warrantable. We do not have the store information to confirm, but it is possible they referred the complainant to Bridgestone as OE tires do not qualify for the limited mileage warranty as noted above.
That said, Bridgestone is willing to offer a goodwill concession to allow for the purchase of (2) two of Bridgestone or Firestone brand tires at 50% off the current tire sales price. The complainant will be responsible to pay for any installation costs such as balancing, mounting, applicable taxes, etc.
In order to take advantage of this offer, we would require that you take your vehicle to a Firestone Complete Auto care location for a tire inspection. (locations can be found at ******************************).
This offer is valid for the next 30 days and applies to the purchase of Bridgestone or Firestone brand tires ONLY.
You must provide the authorized Bridgestone dealer with reference number A1445279-3762. The dealer will need this reference number in order to apply the applicable warranty to your purchase.Customer Answer

I purchased a full set of Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT tires (225/40R-18) for my 2014 Mercedes CLA250 from ************ (Order Numbers: LD49320 and LD51885, placed on 09/11/2023). The tires cost over $540 in total not including the installation fee which was about $150. I work remotely and have driven fewer than ****** miles since installation. Unfortunately, the tires have worn down significantly in a very short period per recent annual car inspection.TireRack advised me to contact Bridgestone directly to inquire about a goodwill warranty. This is my first experience with Bridgestone tires. I spoke with customer ********************** twice: during the first call, I was told I could receive a prorated credit and was scheduled to visit a local Firestone shop (a Bridgestone-affiliated company). However, the Firestone location called me to cancel the appointment, stating they were unsure of the warranty process. On my second call to customer **********************, I was told that Bridgestone would not assist me in any way. This inconsistency in communication and lack of follow-through is deeply disappointing given the premium price of the tires and the brand reputation. I was not provided with a clear escalation path or further support options. I am seeking a fair resolution, ideally a goodwill warranty or credit toward a replacement set, as the tire wear does not align with reasonable expectations under light driving conditions.Business Response

Customer called Warranty Call ********************** and told the agent they purchased Potenza S001 RFT tires from Tire Rack. Customer reported tires worn out at approximately ****** miles (install mileage not provided).
Customer reported talking to someone via chat and was directed to Firestone complete Auto Care to have the tires inspected and told there would give credit.
It should be noted the ******************* does not provide Chat assistance. While we understand the frustration this communication may have caused this information was inaccurately relayed.
Customer indicated an appointment was made at a Firestone Store but then was cancelled because they were not sure of the warranty process, Tire Rack told customer to call the warranty teammate.
Warranty Agent apologized that the chat team had provided the wrong information as Potenza S001 RFT tires do not have a rapid wear mileage warranty
All Bridgestone tires are covered by Limited manufacture warranty. If an eligible tire becomes unusable for any reason within the manufacturers control, it will be replaced with an equivalent new Bridgestone, Firestone or ***************** tire on the basis set forth in this Limited Warranty.
However,as discussed during the call, Potenza S001 RFT tires do not have a Limited mileage warranty. A list of tires eligible tires can be found in Bridgestone Warranty Manual. (Found online at *******************************************************************)
It is unclear what the dealer meant in terms of being unsure of the warranty process. Authorized Dealers have a process to collect a tire and return that tire to Bridgestone for inspection should a warrantable condition be observed.
If that Dealer did not execute a warranty, the most likely cause is that the tire did not contain any condition that would be warrantable. We do not have the store information to confirm, but it is possible they referred the complainant to Bridgestone as the tires did not qualify under the limited warranty.
Notwithstanding that the Potenza S001 RFT tires do not have a Limited mileage warranty and complainant is not entitled to any remedy for rapid tread wear, Bridgestone has authorized a one-time goodwill as an act of goodwill and in apology for the misinformation provided.
This goodwill concession will allow for the purchase of Bridgestone or Firestone brand tires at 50% off the current tire sales price. To be eligible Tread must be worn to 4/32nd or lower across at least two major tread grooves and no higher than 5/32nds.
This discount is offered is off the cost of the tires themselves and does not include any installation costs such as balancing, mounting, applicable taxes, disposal etc.
You must provide the authorized Bridgestone dealer with reference number A1443679-9265. The dealer will need this reference number in order to apply the applicable warranty to your purchase.Initial Complaint

In July of 2024, I purchased two tires for my 2017 *** SPORTAGE EX. The technician who installed my back tires did not aligned them correctly. Every though, this my car wobbly and the tires were slanted, the lug nuts were on. Unfortunately , I did not realize that the wobbliness was due to my tires not being installed correctly (aligned). In October of the same year I was driving home from work when a driver informed me that my tires were wobbly. I drove to another establishment for them to look at my tires. We both noticed while in the parking lot that the tires were not put on correctly. The back tires were slanted and the lug nuts were screwed on tight. He stated that he would not fix the problem because Firestone was responsible to do that. I went to Firestone informed the service manager and he had the technician to fix the problem. Now, I went to place air in my tires due to cold temperatures. One of techs stated that I needed to replace both of my back tires. I called Firestone in Cypress and expressed that I should not be responsible for replacing one of the tires due their negligence. The service manager stated that it's not his problem and he will not replace their tire.Initial Complaint

Bridgestone Tire warranties are to 50k miles. I bought a jeep, and I anticipated using the spare and to rebuy 3 other Bridgestone tires. My vehicle has 47k ******** spare is dry rot. Never used. I went and bought 4 non Bridgestone tires due to customer ********************** not getting back to me about my never used tire already having dry rot. I want a refund of the non-usable tire.Business Response

We have searched our warranty hotline call logs and cannot find any direct correspondence with the complainant.
There is limited information provided in the complaint regarding vehicle age, tire pattern. In addition, it is unclear if a tire inspection was completed by an authorized dealer.
Complainant reported:
Spare tire supplied with their Jeep (47k miles) allegedly has a dry rot condition.
Reported purchasing 4 non-Bridgestone tires
It is important to note authorized Bridgestone retail locations are fully authorized to execute the available limited warranty, if they observed a warrantable condition, at the time of sale of replacement tires.
It is therefore assumed; the tires were physically inspected by the service professional who determined the condition was not eligible.
As indicated in the warranty manual, Weather/ozone cracking is NOT covered under the Free tire replacement period in the Bridgestone Platinum Pact or the Firestone Gold Pledge. Weather/ozone cracking is covered only as a prorated charge.
Bridgestone Tire Warranty Manual | Bridgestone Tires
Note that shallow surface cracking is common among tires and does not impact the performance of the tires in any way. Only in the most severe cases would ozone cracking rise to the level that a tire should be removed based on its presence.
Lastly our warranty, if applicable, must be used as a prorated discount off the purchase of Bridgestone/Firestone brand tires and cannot be used to purchase competitor tires.
Since the complainant has already replaced the tires with a competitor's brand (we note the replacement brand is not mentioned in the complaint) there is no remedy that we can offer to alleviate this situation.Initial Complaint

Good afternoon,While receiving vehicle service at the automotive dealer, I was advised that my tires needed to be replaced. This was surprising considering I purchased the car brand new and we have only recently reached 20k miles. The service center and I, over two conversations, contacted Bridgestone and received information about how to obtain replacement tires as the Eccopia tires on my CR-V have worn and are known for doing so despite being well under the 50k miles rated for these tires. I confirmed at a Bridgestone authorized dealer that the more worn rear tires, in addition to the front tires should be replaced as my vehicle is AWD. We were both surprised to hear that Bridgestone would only provide a credit for up to 45% of the value of the rear tires. I spent an extensive amount of time speaking with an individual who claimed he was the manager or supervisor of the warrantee department. He was very gracious with his time and effort to explain the situation but unable to provide a suitable outcome to resolve the issue. He also declined to provide a number to contact the corporate office for additional information and declined to advise me of a manner to escalate my concerns as a consumer. Bridgestone claims the amount suggested was an offer of goodwill, yet it would be more cost effective and safe to replace all four tires with a different brand than what they have offered. Bridgestone also failed to provide documentation indicating why these tires are not under warranty and have provided no other options despite my offer to produce service records and my efforts to contact their corporate office.Business Response

As indicated in the warranty manual, If an eligible tire covered by the Limited Mileage Warranty wears evenly across the tread down to the tread wear indicators--2/32 inch (1.6 mm)--during its stated warranted mileage (as evidenced by the vehicle's odometer), the tire will be replaced with an equivalent new Bridgestone,Firestone or ***************** tire under the following conditions for a prorated purchase price. bs_fs_associated_brands_warranty_manual_eng_2024.pdf (******************************)
Our agent spoke directly to Americas Tire who confirmed (2) rear tires are eligible for a limited mileage warranty, that is the tires that measured 4/32nds or less.
The percentage warranted miles (proration) equates to 45%. This calculation is detailed in the Limited Mileage Warranty manual which is available online at bs_replacement_us_en_2024v2.pdf
The two (2) front tires are measuring at 6/32nds and 5/32nds. These tires have more than 4/32nds remaining tread depth and have no remedy for tread wear as they are still serviceable.
However, Bridgestone is willing to offer a goodwill concession toward the (2) rear tires making the discount amount 55% off the current tire sales price (must be Bridgestone or Firestone brand tires). This discount is offered off the cost of the tires themselves and does not include any installation costs such as balancing, mounting, applicable taxes, disposal etc.
To take advantage of this offer, you must use an authorized Bridgestone dealer to purchase and install the tires. This offer is valid for the next 30 days and applies to the purchase of Bridgestone or Firestone brand tires ONLY.
You must provide the authorized Bridgestone dealer with reference number A1436330-8518. The dealer will need this reference number in order to apply the applicable warranty to your purchase.
