I wish I had read the reviews before making the mistake of signing up with Urbanex. It turns out many customers have had experiences similar to mine. Urbanex operates by sending salespeople door to door, which should be a red flag in itself. What they don't tell you up front is that you'll be charged $193.00 (with tax) TWICE in the first 30 days — once for the initial visit on May 1, 2025, and again on June 1st. That’s $386.00 in the first month alone.
I met an energetic sales rep named ***. She was personable, told me her father was a pastor, and emphasized how great it was to work for a local company. She seemed sincere — but unfortunately, she was completely dishonest about the pricing. She told me service would be $60/month or $193.00 per quarter (with tax), even showing me the math on her phone. She never once mentioned the second charge a month later. Had I known, I would never have signed up.
I also asked specifically about the cancellation policy. She told me if I canceled, I wouldn’t get the $193 refunded — which I was fine with. But again, this was misleading. She quickly flipped through the agreement on her iPad, hoping I wouldn't read the fine print — & I didn’t, which was my mistake. But when I saw that second charge, I called the company & was told it was all in the contract. I canceled immediately, & was then charged another $150 to cancel.
So in total, this dishonest sales pitch cost nearly $400.00 in 30 days. Urbanex may sound convincing at your door, but their business model is built on deception. I would strongly advise anyone considering them to read every single line of the contract — or better yet, look elsewhere.  Last thing, after one service, I had to clean pesticide residue off my windows because of how the technician sprayed the house. And once he was done, he asked if I’d write a five-star ****** review because they get paid $5.00 for each one. That tells you everything you need to know about how they collect their glowing reviews.

Stop going door to door! This keeps happening, during work, during supper - I also checked on the names provided that “other neighbors are buying this” - lie. This is a terrible way to introduce a company - no cards no credentials - terrible.

Failed to provide the entirety of the services paid for as a new customer. This company is not a pest control company. The focus is on door to door sales, and has scammed me out of services I paid for. The technician ****** claimed to complete a granular application of insecticide and mosquito fogging when it was never actually done.
After 3 phone calls with no answer or call back, I was finally reached out to via email to book a re service. ****** came back out again and left 11 minutes after pulling into my driveway still without completing the work.
Over a month later, ****** ******* the “branch manager” got in touch with me to ask to complete an additional re service. I declined and asked to cancel any future services. Isaiah then charged a $150 cancellation fee.
This company charges a premium for shotty service and then punishes the customer for their own failure to actually complete the service.

Urbanex - **** ******* - North Carolina are frauds. They promise service, and do not provide them. They Charge for services that they do not perform. We disputed charges with bank - and they flat out lie about services that they did not provide. Worst, unprofessional group of individuals we have ever met.

The high-pressure sales person who used deceptive and inaccurate claims to get me to sign up is no where to be found while the corporate office distances themselves from him and pressures the hidden fees of the contract. I signed up agreeing to pay $169 per qtr being promised quartly treatments and sending a tech within 24hrs anytime I thought was needed. I was told they would do the first treatment then 30 days later send someone out for a second treatment the first quarter. I was told NOTHING about any additional charges. HOWEVER - they attempted to charge $169 for the qtr then $169 AGAIN when they sent the guy who was planned to come in 30 days. When I attempted to cancel the contract they are now trying to charge AN ADDITIONAL $150 to cancel the contract. I am not paying for things I never agreed to pay for. This company is lying, and stealing from the public.

Pushy door knockers come to your door and don’t take no for an answer. After repeatedly telling **** no! I finally agreed to a mosquito service. The mosquito service they performed did not address our issues even though we had a previous company spray the yard 3 days earlier so this was a sign that their service was no different than my current service. . I tried to cancel their service but was met with a $150 cancellation fee that I was not aware of. After speaking with ****** in management and explaining the pushy tactics and almost feeling forced to buy a service and not being happy about that or the cancellation fee, Justin did not care and did not agree to waive the a cancellation fee. These are the types of companies that push you into service you don’t need and then you still have to pay to make them go away. I would have just cancelled the service and that was it, but now I feel the responsibility to tell as many people as I can to be careful of this company who’s apparently values $150 over anything else. Terrible business model if you ask me.

I am writing to express my severe dissatisfaction with your service. Today, I experienced what I consider to be a complete robbery. Despite continuously seeing pests around my house, the most concerning issue is that I was subscribed to a monthly service against my explicit instructions. I clearly requested a one-time service, yet I have been charged monthly. To make matters worse, I was billed $200 to cancel this unauthorized subscription.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I have a no soliciting sign on my door for a reason. My husband is a disabled veteran who struggles with his mental health and was bullied into this service. The harassment in the neighborhoods is ridiculous. These people are taking advantage of others disregarding the fact those no soliciting signs could be for someone's safety. I am disgusted and the fact everyone you talk to on the phone is so rude and nasty does not help. I should've called the police for trespassing because we CLEARLY have a sign up and a camera. Leave people alone.

They scammed right from the begining promising discounts and service. I agreed to the first service and handed the guy my credit card to pay for it. ($50) The next day they had charged the full service on my card with no discounts($650). I sent an email as they did not do what I had requested. No reply so I sent a second email. No reply. I finally called the office in TN as I did not have the local number as no information was given until I spoke with ********. She gave me my discounts, apologized but didn't fix the schedule as I requested. After finding a dead bird and a dead bat in my yard I called and told them to cancel as they were using the wrong chemicals. Also, all the bees are gone. It was then I was told I had to pay a $200 cancellation fee. There was never a contract mailed, emailed or put on my online portal. Only when I questioned it was I sent a copy of the page I signed for the first service which was actually for the full contract with the cancellation fee on it. Very deceptive selling practices along with chemicals that are dangerous to the enviroment. They also don't answer their emails to specifically say it was beyond the 3 day window to cancel.

Guy who came to the door to do sales appeared high/confused or maybe just very unprofessional. He kept making mistakes and correcting himself when explaining where the company was founded. After I told him I was very concerned about impacts to bees, he said their pesticide kills carpenter bees but not honey bees. As far as I am aware, there is no such pesticide. He mentioned Bifenthrin which is definitely toxic to all bees. Upon googling, it seems this company hires a crew of young men to do their door-to-door sales so maybe that explains this strange experience. I would not believe a thing they tell you.
