    Entered into pest control contract with Ecoshield, delivered services did not meet contract specifications for services on several occasions. Company typically received my complaints (including the owner, ****** - **************) and then sent our their "customer satisfaction" *** to spray to remedy condition. The very next time, same thing all over again. Had this company sent out the same technician each time that met the terms of the contract, there would have been no issue. However, this company is now the pest that needs to be controlled! As the customer, I should not be required to manage their notes in their computer system, their scheduling or what technician is assigned, or have to watch over the technician to make sure they do their job as per the terms of the contract. Final culmination of contract termination explained in letter attached. I have a signed copy with certified mail receipt signed for by Ecoshield ***resentative; however they have now turned over the balance on the contract (for services never performed) to collections. I want the amount on my account written off by this company and I NEVER want to hear from anyone at this company or the collections company they assigned it to again. If they have ***orted the collections item to any credit bureau, I want it removed immediately. Thanks--**** *****

    This company came to my home and spoke to my son who has LD and were so persistent had him agree to service. He is not the owner nor did I know until I received a bill. Now when I call to discuss they do not speak clear English and refuse to cancel the service. I have requested a call from someone I can understand. I have never seen anyone come to my home nor have I spoken to anyone with this company.

    I am filing this complaint regarding EcoShield Pest Control due to their persistent harassment via phone calls and the unjust cancellation fee imposed on my account. Eco Shield was soliciting people in my neighborhood for their services. I was having a mosquito problem in my back yard so i decided to give them a try. The salesman assured me I could cancel anytime if I was not happy with their services. They came out sprayed and I paid $159. The mosquitos did not go away so I decided I want to cancel. After giving them a call they told me I still owed them $241 and I would also be charged a cancelation fee, Crazy! Their treatment didn't work and now they claim they are going to send my bill to collections ************ feels like a scam. They attempt to trap customers into staying in contracts under unreasonable terms and their salesman seem unethical.

    Given the situation, I am truly empathetic and want to part ways in good standing.     Ok, so ecoshield sent one of there people into our neighborhood to solicit business which I have no problem with. What I do have a problem with is that I was promised a trial period costing me nothing, and I was given one service. Next thing I know I am being charged closed to $400 for one visit. I specifically asked if I was going to be in a contract and the gentleman said no. What *****, is that the gentleman was actually a great guy. I dont really blame him. I blame the company for shady business practices. I am going to pay the $400, as I dont want it to have a negative impact on me, but I will be making it a mission to warn the others in my neighborhood and those around that this business is shady and is not ethical by any means. I am very ****** at the way this company lied and took advantage of my wife as she was the one who dealt mostly with this. I dont want some generic apology. I want a phone call explaining to me why they think its ok and basically steal.

    I signed up for Ecoshield pest service for my new home on 17 June 2024. The service was for 12 months being billed quarterly with an initial fee for the first service. The technician showed up for their first appointment on 20 June 2024. The next appointment was set for 18 July 2024 so I called on ***************************************************************** the house to conduct service. They asked if I was available for that day (17 July 2024)between ********* and I agreed since they already had a technician in the area. I received a text message with the new appointment.After the technician failed to show I called I called the customer support line on 17 July 2024 at 1630. They were unable show my appointment even though I sent proof of my appointment. I asked to cancel my service due to their lack to provide services that were promised and was told my account was paid in full and good to close.I received a call and text on 1 August saying they need me to update my billing information so I ignored it. Today (16 August 2024) I received another call stating the same thing so I called back. They are trying to change me an early cancellation fee even though they did not fulfill their service.

    They were supposed to spray and deweb the home exterior. They missed some places so I requested to return. When they did I showed them multiple missed areas. The tech began working and left without showing me the work. They still missed multiple areas that I pointed out. Since they failed to perform the essential duty of web removal I refused to pay and now they harass me with collections. I want this to stop since they did not do what they said they would do.

    I have a NO SOLICITORS sign conspicuously placed ON MY FRONT DOOR. One of their salesmen named ******* repeatedly trespassed on my property and would not leave. During his sales pitch I repeatedly told him that neither was I interested in the service nor did I need the service. It made me extremely uncomfortable as he would refuse to leave. This occurred multiple times and caused immense stress and anxiety. The 3rd time he came to my house, again in spite of the clear NO SOLICITORS sign, I repeatedly told him I wasnt interested but he wouldnt leave my home. He wouldn't leave unless I signed so I gave in and signed up just so that he would leave my property. I called them to cancel the contract, as I signed under duress with their salesman who refused to leave my property. I spoke with *************************** and *************************. I am being told that I cannot get out of the contract unless I pay them a ****** of over $200 dollars!! How is this legal? ******* trespassed on my property multiple times, used high-pressure sales tactics and refused to leave my property until I signed up. I shouldnt be penalized for cancelling a service when EcoShield broke the law to pressure me to sign up. Reputable businesses dont do this. It is remarkably unethical and no surprise that they are not accredited with the BBB. I will warn everyone I know to stay away from this company and share my story with them. I have a doorbell camera that captured each incident. I dont know why this company encourages their salesmen to brazenly trespass onto private property to intimidate people into signing up; only then to tax them hundreds of dollars to cancel the service. Maybe this is how they make all of their money. If they are a reputable business, then they will, firstly, abide by the law and local ordinances, secondly, respect when someone says no repeatedly, and thirdly not penalize people for cancelling a service that isnt needed.

     Honestly, I am not satisfied. I had to take time out of my day to call them repeatedly only to be put on hold or ignored entirely. I sent them emails and they were still unwilling to help. Lo and behold, it wasnt until I filed a complaint with the BBB that they actually decided to help me. It looks like they are just trying to save face!!! I do not appreciate how this company does business and I am really frustrated I was put through this nightmare. It has caused so much stress and anxiety. I have a NO SOLICITORS sign for a reason! I am concerned ******* or one of their other salesmen will eventually come back and harass me more. Maybe with a vengeance this time. I dont want to live in fear that their salesmen are just going to come to my home and try to pressure me into purchasing all over again. I want to live in peace and I dont want anyone coming to my home trying to sell me something I dont need and refusing to leave me alone. Good grief, I HAVE A SIGN. PLEASE STAY AWAY. I regret that I wasted $139 on a service I didnt need! I dont have any bugs in my home or around my home. My house is brand new and I have no issues whatsoever. I am upset that I was taken advantage of and lost $139 of my hard earned money, because ******* refused to leave my property!!     I am writing the BBB to report an unscrupulous encounter with the EcoShield sales rep and their deception used to get us to agree to services. We were an EcoShield customer some years ago but cancelled. But a new rep came to our home and advised we could resume our services under our original contract rates and still cancel at any time without penalty. We were not advised that we were initiating a new contract and it was sold to us that this was simply a continuation of services (and contract) we had before. We agreed and the initial service was provided. Several weeks later one of their other representatives came to our home because we requested a termite inspection. He found no termites but proceeded to try to sell us nearly ***** dollars worth of services we did not ask for and then treated us rudely when we did not agree to those offers. We considered this and then decided we no longer wanted EcoShield as a provider and called their customer service line and decided to cancel services. Then and only then we were advised that we are under a new contract that just started and if we cancelled we would be charged a $250.00 dollar cancellation fee and if we did not pay it within 30 days we would be sent to collections. These terms were are completely inconsistent with the terms the sales rep explained to us and as such are untenable. The company lied to us, tried to bully us into services we didn't want and now wants to charge us for choosing to discontinue with them. This is bait and switch and immoral. These dishonest sales tactics need to stop.

    We took out a contract with them on 08/24/23 and $800 of the total which was $1,550.00. The 800 was for carpet beetle extermination which was guaranteed and $750 for preventing mice getting in around holes in brick on outside of the house. When they came to fix the holes the first time my husband checked when he got home from work and they had not done anything. Husband called supervisor and he came out and admitted the work was not done and they did it. They are dishonest. As far as the carpet beetles are concerned, they are still here. They did come out a few times to no avail. I suggested they come out monthly until they are gone, but they did not want to do that. My home is very clean and neat. Last time supervisor came out he just kept saying he was sorry and had no plan even though in their contract it stated they would keep coming back until they are gone. They are very expensive and I don ** trust them.

    We performed the initial service on 8/24, and completed additional services on 11/15 and 12/27. We inspected the home again at the request of the customer on1/3, 1/29 and 2/12 and found no active carpet beetles even though the customer was saying she was being bitten. We are unable to provide treatment unless we find active pests.

    They go house to house and scam you into a contract! This company is terrible. They make promises they do not deliver. I was promised to be serviced until my problem was resolved. The selling point was that any activity seen they would send someone out to do another service for free. My biggest issue was mice and they knew that when selling it to me and guaranteed me it would be taken care of. They only put out 2 bait boxes and then tried to charge me for anymore. 2 boxes was not a guarantee for a BARN with chickens and feed. I even asked if I could skip all the other pest control they threw in so I could get my mice problem taken care of. I thought this was guaranteed to be taken care of but only if you want to pay them more money! They charged me $180 to get out of my contract even when they didnt fulfill their end of the agreement. They have trained costumer service to drive you insane and never let you speak to anyone who can actually help you and never let you out of your contract. I even got my credit card company to revoke a payment when the service was not done and then they charged me for it again and threatened collections!

    I am rejecting this response because: Yes, I paid it and I paid the $170 charge that was reissued to my account after I paid that, got it refunded, then you put it back on my account and threatened claims. I also paid that for the second time. My balance is $0. The first response to this said you would waive the $180 contract fee but yes I had already paid it so there was no balance to wipe out so my credit card will need to be refunded or I will take it up with my credit card company to get it refunded then I do not want to see it back on my bill again like you just did.

    I have no further details I have not heard from the company. As you will see in the previous response from the company they agreed to waive my cancellation charge. Or clear my account of the balance. The cancellation charge is $189 and my current balance is $179 Before I had a zero balance so they had nothing to clear but I had the balance reinstated so they would have something to clear. So now it is available for them to cancel and show my account at zero balance like they previously stated they were going to do.
