Exhorbiant parking fines. I was charged $58.65 fine for being 10 minutes late to my car by ******************************, when the rate for one hour was $8.65 a 675% increase. This is basically legalized extortion. Failure to pay in 3 days and it doubles. Date 7/16/2025, parking violation number ***********

I met a friend for breakfast this morning at Perenns bakery in ********. When I left I realized I had a ticket on my car. I didnt see any sign about paid parking. It was the bakery parking lot. I was shocked. It was for 38 dollars which is well more than my breakfast cost. The company is Happy Park. They are very wrong not to clearly mark a paid parking lot.

On 7/4/2025 at approximately 9:00 a.m. CT I entered the **************************************** lot behind ************************ (restaurant address *******************************************). I parked my car and went to the parking kiosk machine to pay. The machine would not turn on. I went into the restaurant and inquired and was advised that the parking lot is not the restaurant's. We discussed that perhaps parking was free because it's a federal holiday. In an abundance of caution, I went back to the payment kiosk and it still would not turn on. There was no attendant present for inquiry. Assuming parking fee was not being charged, I returned to the restaurant and had brunch. and immediately left to go home. When I returned to car, a ticket had been issued. I immediately reached out to to Park Happy to explain the situation. "*****" a parking professional responded; inquired if I was a patron and if so asked for my receipt from restaurant. I provided receipt and advised that I'm happy to pay for the cost of parking and attempted twice to do so. I have heard nothing since. despite my follow-up. Because I don't want the cost of the ticket to escalate I paid the ticket and $4.00 processing fee. That said, I want a refund of the difference in what I paid and the cost of parking. Their payment machine was not working at 9:45 a.m. thereby making payment impossible. I don't know if I arrived too early or if it was temporarily not working.

We parked in a park happy lot in the Gulch area in *********. We paid for two hours and were eight minutes late getting to car. Before our parking time had expired, we tried to look for a way to extend the time because the walk back was taking longer than we expected. We had no way to extend our parking time and no one to contact on site. A ticket was left on our windshield for $67 for being eight minutes late and in three days $117. There was no disclosure about excessive fees for being late and no information on how contact them. This was ridiculous and frustrating and feels like a scam.

We received a dispute from **** ***** on 7/19/25 and responded on 7/25/25. The violation was reduced to half for the time expiring. When the initial payment was made using the text to pay app a question will be asked if you want to be notified of your time expiring. Had this been answered then the option to receive notification would have been given and time could have been extended. Since the was not done a violation was issued which is valid. The reduction to half is the normal response given in situations such as this.

Parked in one of their lots. Out in my phone number and credit card. Instead of texting me when my time ran out, they gave me a $60 ticket 6 minutes after my time expired.

Customer disputed violation and a response was sent back offering to reduce to half. See attached email string, violation, picture of vehicle parked next to one of the signs posted and original registration for parking. Customer does have the option to extend their time by following the same steps used when originally registered to park. The violation issued is valid and must be paid to close the account.

I parked in a 1 hour free lot in ****************** on May 12, 2025. Almost all of the ** code lots in ********* offer options to extend parking or pay more when the hour is up. This offers no options. I was given a ticket two minutes after my time expired. The price went from zero to $65 in two minutes. This is extremely predatory behavior. Why not an option to pay a reasonable amount to park, in a city with extremely limited parking? They should also be required by law to post this information on their sign. That one hour and two minutes will cost $65. The city of ********* should never allow such a predatory business to operate. They should have clear and transparent signage at minimum.

On 4/18/2025, I delivered some products to a retail store the in downtown ********. I paid for parking. When I came back to the vehicle, the time had expired. What would have cost just a few dollars for the additional time was now marked up to $40.22 and then to $90.22 three days later. I understand that parking companies have to give violations to discourage abuse of their spaces that they manage, but these fees are exorbitant and having three days to send in the first payment is and incredibly short period of time. I reached out to the company and they said nothing could be done and I had to pay the full amount.

I parked in a park happy lot behind **** Sunshine. I opted for the free hour on the ticket meter and went to breakfast. I had asked for my check at 8am knowing my parking was expiring in 15 minutes. My waitress was delayed in getting my check so I didnt pay until 8:15. I figured a few minutes wouldnt matter so I didnt need to run to the meter to extend my time. I get to my car at 8:25 and have a ticket for over $60. I submitted an appeal and got an automated message repeating what was on the ticket verbatim, no response to my actual appeal. I would have gladly extended my time had I been able to do this through my phone from the restaurant. And I will pay what would have been the cost for extending. It is unreasonable to charge such a fee when there is no option to extend if not near the kiosk. Make every parking lot extendable via phone.

I am disputing two parking citations issued on April 12th and April 20th. In both cases, the vehicle was parked while either I or another individual was a paying customer of the restaurant on-site. Your posted signage clearly states that restaurant patrons do not need to pay for parking. On April 12th, another person used my vehicle and validated inside the restaurant. On April 20th, I was ticketed while actively seeking validation instructions from the restaurant and had not yet been given a fair opportunity to complete the process.I have submitted proof of purchase for both restaurant visits and filed appeals, but I have received no response. These citations appear to violate your own stated policies and seem designed to unfairly penalize legitimate customers.I request both tickets be voided immediately and confirmation be provided.

4/12/2025 I stopped for ********* and i parked on the park happy lot out front. The sign said 20 minutes free and it used to ve 30 so i added 40 minutes, thinking i had an hour afterwards and came back to my car to find a ticket that can be up to $112 if not paid in 30 days. I was 5 minutes over the 40 minutes, thinking i had an hour. This company is scandalous and is reflecting upon the entire city of *********. We want people visiting here, not going away with scammy feeling parking tickets and especially not ticking Nashville residents for 5 minutes over AFTER i paid and it could have been free!
