      They advertised a fitness trainer with the membership. I have been a member for 6 months and still no trainer. False advertising. Also, I'm suddenly getting more spam emails than I've EVER gotten. They're obviously selling our information. A great deal for $10 a month? I disagree. Nice facility, but worth the extra hassle and lack of services promised.

      I had came in on 1/9/2023 and again on 9/6/2023 to cancel my gym membership. When I came in and cancelled my membership they only asked for phone number. I was unaware that I had two accounts activated with Planet Fitness until my last cancellation on September 6th because I was wondering why y’all were charging me still. I went ahead and emailed and talked to the manager at your Rainier location on 12/1 and he was very useless. He had one of the staff lie to me to and told me he was in a meeting therefore he can’t talk to me but I asked, “when is a good time to call back” and that was when I got transferred right away to him. When speaking to him, his tone was very dismissive and it seemed like he didn’t want to help me at all. I asked if there was any way to refund what has been charged because if you look at my account history, I haven’t been in for a while let alone knowing I had two accounts. He quickly said no and kept saying it’s the policy. I really want to stress about how he handled the situation because he was not customer friendly at all. I asked if there was anyone higher up that he can talk to and he said he will talk to the regional manager but never responded back to my email. All I want is my refund back from the last couple month that has been charged but everyone that I had talk to has been dodging me. *now that I had read a lot of the BBB reviews about this specific gym, I can see other people’s similar experience with mine. What’s up with not telling people that they have 2 accounts and still charging us!?! SCAMMERS!*

      I went to the location and cancelled my and my husband's membership September 5, 2023. Emilee was the assistant manager who processed the cancellation. On 10/17/2023, I noticed a charge hit my account for my monthly payment. They also hit my account on 9/17/2023. I called the location and spoke to Brenda, who repeatedly told me that I never came in and that my check-in history showed that I had only been to the gym once since 11/2022. This is not the case. I have kidney stones and when I am passing one, I will go and sit in the massage chairs or massage beds. She asked my husband's name and while she was looking up my husband's name, incorrectly, I found the email receipt when I cancelled my account. I provided her the member number. When the account came up it said **** and his last name. When she asked his name, not knowing what they used I had given her his complete, legal name. When she found the account, she repeatedly said "You told me the wrong name!" When I explained to her that I had provided the entire name, she said "I'M NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH YOU!" She said she would "courtesy cancel" my account but explained that WOULD NOT include a refund. I asked to speak to a manager. Emilee answered. I explained the same to her and told her she was at fault for all of this. She "issued" the refund, which she said she would hear back from the processing company in 3-4 business days, and then, she would process the refund which would take 7-14 business days. I was told by the bank, that when an account is canceled, that revokes the company's permission to draft your account. And, because it was done at the error of the company, they MUST refund that quickly as it was an UA charge. I spoke with Ian, the store manager, and it is clear why his employees behave this way. Ian was just as rude over talking me but chastising me when I did it to him. I have filed a fraudulent charge complaint with the bank. They are investigating. *** ****** *********

      The comments made by many on here are similar experiences that I have had. It is particularly difficult to cancel. Now I get why they want you bank information to join. They can keep collecting money even after you cancel your account. In my case, I cancelled my account in person as required. I asked directly if it was cancelled and it was confirmed cancelled. A month and a half later, I get a bill. I call only to hear that I have to come in person. I explained that I did that already. They insist that I have to come in again. When I press for the reason why, I was told I had two accounts. This was an impressively sneaky move to again collect more money since by some magic I suddenly had two accounts. I have never had two accounts or paid for two account (I asked these questions of the PF Rep and was told they don't charge for second accounts). Looks like I will have to make another in person attempt to cancel my account. I guess the next step is to switch banks if that what it takes to stop the continued pilfering of dues by Plant Fitness.

      I recently found out that Planet Fitness doesn't care about the customer it's all about money$$$ for them. They will allow you to start a membership online. But, they won't allow you to cancel it online. You have to visit a location or write a letter, which is very inconvenient. They will allow you to put in your credit card information and electronically sign to start. But, say they need your hard signature to cancel. How does that make any sense? It doesn't make sense; it just shows it's about keeping the ACH payments coming out. I will no longer do business with Planet Fitness because of this!! Bad customer service/practice!

      Very rude and hostile towards me, a black card member, when I would use solely use bathroom facilities. I do not disturb anyone nor am I drawing attention to myself in any way or form, but due to the lack of maturity of the "teenagers" , I am assuming based on their attitudes, they would stop and harass me and be very discriminatory towards me.

      First off, I'd like to first make the suggestion to anyone wanting to join to thoroughly read the fine print and all rules before joining this gym. They will expect you to know everything and all rules when you join and not inform you of anything but basic rates upon joining. Now, when it comes to my personal rating and review, I'd give the gym a 0 if I could. 1st con is, they do not allow jump roping. 2nd Con, they allow, in my opinion, inappropriate shows on the TV for minors. They have the Soaps playing on the TV but allow 13 year olds in the gym; therefore, they should have age appropriate shows. 3rd con, this pertains to the bathroom rules. They allow people of the opposite gender in the bathroom. I did not realize this when I joined the gym. I didn't read the fine print. I found out when I went into the women's bathroom and there was a man in there. I felt uncomfortable with this after I was aware, so I cancelled my policy with the front desk. When filling out the cancellation, THEY ASKED ME why I was leaving, I said that there was a man in the women's restroom and I didn't feel comfortable with that. A few days later, my account was flagged, the manager banned me from using the gym, he said there were several complaints about me saying I was saying things about the gay community, saying I said they were half people. Soooo, not only do they LIE and make things up to get you kicked out, but if you have a concern about there being a man in the restroom, don't plan on bringing it to their attention or you will be cancelled and lied about and banned from the gym. Total bogus gym! I will not ever recommend this gym to anyone. Too much drama and I'd recommend going elsewhere.

      We are sorry that we did not live up to your expectation. We are committed to providing the best possible health club experience for our members. As it relates to jumping rope, this is a safety issue for other members and our member's safety is paramount to our organization. In regard to TV programming, only people of 16 years of age and older are allowed in the gym area. Kids younger than 16 are required to remain in the lobby for safety reasons, so this should not be an issue to our members. Once again, the TV programming is geared to the adult population. Finally, we are required by federal law to follow gender laws and legislation. As a result, if a member shows gender prove, we must accept it. We cannot discriminate.

      I cannot speak to your personal experience because I was not there, but I will follow this up with our staff in an effort to make sure that we handle all matters in the club in the best possible manner.

      The cancellation of this member's membership was predicated on her screaming "F this and F that" at our staff when we attempted to speak to her about our club policy on gender acknowledgement predicated on federal laws and legislation.

      Although we attempt to provide the best possible service to all our members, we do not allow our member's to abuse our staff.

      Literally the biggest scammers and dirtiest gym I've ever been to. They find ways to charge extra fees, charge them and tell you they're from 5 months ago and WILL NOT work with clients. The crew has infuriating entitled attitudes. They don't wipe anything down to sanitize, especially massage beds. The garbages tend to overfill, but the staff is too busy having fun to upkeep the gym. Not to mention that a lot of their equipment is out of order and doesn't get tended to.
