I would give this company a 0/5 star review, if possible. Throughout my two years of being a tenant I went through h*** and back (rats, faulty A/C, delayed maintenance, etc.). My lease ended on April 1st and the lease agreement does not clearly state which party is required to switch utilities to the property management group. I have no been stuck with 2 months worth of bills because this company did not switch the utilities into their name. Now, of course, they are not responding to my requests for reimbursement. They know what the right thing to do is, but are unethical to the highest degree.

My family and I are in the process of viewing homes. We came across several properties managed by Meridian Property Management, but when we requested to view it with an agent led tour, it says there are no time frames available. After calling, we discovered that the company requires you to apply for the home without actually viewing the home. I asked if the fee paid would be good for the duration of viewing homes and was told it would only be good for up to 30 days. Essentially, this company is charging potential tenants to just view the property with no guarantee that the home will be up to the tenant standards. Its definitely a money grab and very a very inconsiderate practice. Theyre operating as many scammers have done when claiming properties that they can only allow you to view and not actually inhabit. Ive viewed properties by this company before and have never experienced this. The receptionist that apparently works with ******* was very rude about her response and her tone pretty much said she didnt want to work with me as she tried to over talk me several times.

Our company policy is to allow only preapproved applicants to view our homes.  Individuals are not paying to view a property; they are paying an application fee.  Meridian Property Management requires that an applicant be preapproved to view a home, and once preapproved, arrangements are made for the applicant to view the home.  If the home viewed does not meet the applicant's needs, the application can be transferred to another property that the applicant qualifies for.  Applications are active for 30 days.  Holding an application for 30 days is industry standard, as is controlling access to properties for viewing.  Before applying, if an applicant has spoken to an agent, the agent has informed the applicant what the rental qualifications are, and the applicant is also encouraged to view the qualifications posted on our website so that the applicant can make an informed decision to apply or not.

I am a current resident of Meridian Property Management (*******, **) and my family and I are preparing to go 5 days with no central air conditioning. Our air went out on Tuesday, Aug. 15th. I have two young ill children which I made EVERYONE I came in contact with aware of between maintenance, property managers, and the 3rd party vendor. We were not provided any means of an alternative option as far as hotel, window unit, etc from day one. Service did not arrive until late afternoon the next day (Wednesday, Aug. 16th). The 3rd party vendor that arrived stated that the compressor on the unit had gone completely out and the unit itself would need to be replaced. An estimate on the work that would need to be done was sent that day to the Landlord and Meridian Properties (property management company). No feedback was given that day until I called for a temporary portable unit to be provided and even then I was only give 1 for a 3 BEDROOM HOUSE. Again, with 2 *********. It's now Friday, August 18th and still the estimate for work hasn't been approved by the Landlord. This is inhumane. Its 85 degrees in the home. Meridian goes mute if you push for answers on follow **** And there isn't an ounce of empathy from the property managers. One only told me "If I could predict when your air would go out, I promise I would tell you"....what does that have to do with fixing my situation now? Meridian Property and the Landlords/Owners they represent are heartless, greedy, self-indulgent people, and I would stay far away from them. The most communication you get pertains to paying your rent on time and keeping your rental insurance updated. Problem wise, they are awful and do not have any empathy towards families nor your children.

On Meridian" web site it states "your comfort is our priority" but obviously NOT!!. My A/C unit went out on Monday. On Tuesday afternoon the temp in the house was at ********************************************************************************** the house. When I called the maintenance again, I was still being told that maintenance would be calling me to setup a time to look at the A/C. I knew from the age of the unit and the sound of the compressor, that the unit was likely to have to be replaced which would take time and make it longer to be without air. The maintenance called and told me they would be out on Wednesday. I explained to the maintenance person that I was pretty sure that the unit was going to have to be replaced and asked if he could please make it out before the end of the day to get the ball rolling for a replacement, if needed. The guy was very nice and said he would. When he looked at the unit, he confirmed that the compressor was bad and would have to be replaced along with the inside unit. Today is Thursday and when I called maintenance, I was told that they do not have any info on when the A/C would be replaced. When I had trouble with the A/C with the previous property management company, they had a third party contractor on site in 2 hours and fixed in 30 minutes. I am almost 70 years old and I can do without a lot of things but air conditioning is not one of them. The excuse that I keep getting is they have a lot of others waiting on A/C repairs and they don't have someone sitting around waiting on calls. Sounds like the A/C maintenance is under staffed and this is acceptable to them. If "your comfort is our priority" they would have a third party do the repairs when they could not.Update: it's now been 5 days without air conditioning and its Friday, which means the weekend without air. So glad I did not sign a contract when Meridian took over this property! Will be leaving this property as soon as possible!

Applied for a property with this company and was denied. I called and left a voicemail with the company for a callback after getting an email off the report that was pulled to my email. No one called back, so I decided to send an email. First off whomever **** is told me they go by your Experian credit report which I pay for MyFICO monthly and my score on there is nowhere near what their report said so I questioned it. I questioned it because I also had a co-signer and was told I have to meet the credit requirements as well. Well if I might it then obviously I wouldnt had a co-signer anyways, right. I was also told by another rental company that it was not true. Then **** goes on to say I owe a previous landlord. Well on my application I stated that it may show I do but the lawyer dropped it in court and I also had the court documentation because I had to show them to the last place I rented at. He then tells me that they cannot just take my word, but what words when I say I have court documents?!? I also contacted the court clerk who stated they did not have anything on my records since 2011. After that I received an text message stating this is our final notice denied. To me I feel like this is discrimination and do not like how this situation was handled at all. Why tell me what to go take to the courts when the court has provided me with the paperwork myself to show!??

**************** applied for a home with Meridian Property Management on Saturday, 1/28/23, at 1:41 PM. Per our application process, Meridian Property Management pulled a credit report for **************** on Monday, 1/30/23, at 9:01 AM. After reviewing the credit report, we determined that she did not meet one or more of our rental criteria. **************** was informed of our decision on 1/30/23 at 9:10 AM. She disputed the credit report findings at 9:17 AM, 9:24 AM, and 10:28 AM. At that time, she used socially unacceptable language to substantiate her claim that the information from her credit report was inaccurate. Meridian Property Management responded to Ms. ******* last communication on 1/30/23 at 12:01 PM, 12:03 PM, and 12:04 PM. We informed her that she did not meet our rental criteria, that she could re-apply in 45-days from denial, and that if she wanted a copy of the credit and public records report that one would be provided to her. Meridian Property Management again extends to **************** an invitation to re-apply for a home with us 45-days from 1/30/23. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to the BBB review and are available to answer any further questions you may have.Sincerely,Meridian Property Managment

It is ashamed how you got on here and lied about language when I still have all email communication so thank you for not calling back like I originally asked because I have your lie in black and white and the proof speaks louder.
