My wife and I bought our 1st home and after 2 years, we needed to refinance to get out of the *** interest rate we were tricked into accepting and we chose JBN as our mortgage company. Over the 23 years we had then as our mortgage company, we went thru numerous health issues with my wife and myself and ended up having to file Chapter 13 bankruptcy in order to keep our home and get our past due bills paid off, which we did. At some point throughout our mortgage, JBN put a Lien on our property that we werent aware of. When we finally decided to sell and move down to ******* after spending our entire lives in ****, we were notified that there was a $13k+ lien from JBN that was going to be taken from us at closing. We were in a rush to get moved so we didnt miss out on the home we were going to rent here in *******, we decided that wed go ahead and close and wed work with JBN to get that money returned to us. Because we knew the lien wasnt legit, because we filed Chapter 13 each time, which requires us to catch-up any mortgage payments we were behind before our bankruptcy was discharged. They wont discharge your Chaoter 13 until all payments are brought current. So they had to have put a fraudulent lien on our home at some point without letting us know or any explanation. Now here we are a year later and they still havent returned our $13k+ that they took from us at closing with zero explanation. Im sure they pulling a fraudulent claim on our property that we have the documentation to back up our claim. Weve been trying to get someone to look out account over at JBN for a year now without absolutely no success. Theyve basically stolen $13k+ from us hoping well just forget bout what they did. We have no clue who to reach out to for help besides an attorney who will take 1/3 of our money. *** sent them documents and talked with them on the phone for hours. To the point where they THINK well just go away since they are going out of business. Can anyone help?
