As a professional RN I took a job at a hospital that offered a $7500 sign on bonus for a 2 year contract. Due to adverse working conditions I resigned before the 2 year contract was completed. Resignation effective date was 05/31/25.On 06/20/25 I received an email from Benefit Max informing me that I needed to pay the full amount of $6958.28 back to them. I responded right away and requested to set up a payment plan. The response I received stated, An immediate lump sum settlement payment of $6,610.37 to close your case within seven days.An installment plan of four equal monthly payments of $1,739.57 to remit the full balance owed, the first payment of which is due by 06/27/2025.When asked for additional time and options I was met with refusal, defiance, arrogance, and a demand to pay the requested amount in full. I requested to speak with a supervisor and this request was refused. This company is unethical and possibly applying illegal practices to collect funds.
