I am trying to save my home whom I purchased from Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance Company in 2019 and the past year I have been really struggling to pay my monthly payments I have repeatedly asked for help they say they have programs but I never seem to qualify for their programs I just feel like all they want to do is foreclosure and just sell it to the next person they had a lawsuit against them in January 2025 but for some reason it was dismissed this lawsuit claimed they set people up to fail and loose everything and I truly believe this is accurate they had the nerve to offer me a 1000 dollars to move in 30 days and just let my home go I was shocked at the amount and the guall of this company they are just out to get people and there is no reasonings with them..I pray everyday that I can save my home I would never recommend this company to anyone and that is sad to say....watch out if you use this company....BEWARE

Wouldn't use them, avoid at all costs. I sent in my paperwork to vanderbuilt after fighting to get it proven my due date changed to Feb 1st instead of Jan 1st because my home wasn't finished nor passed inspection on time. They also knew my husband was having back surgery instead they have telephonically harrased us, caused un due stress. Had the nerve to tell me my paperwork was altered, well no kidding vanderbuilt you agreed at signing with the notary to change the date. So not happy don't use them even at desperation. Rude, foul, unhelpful, disrespectful, lying, cheating, manipulative, dishonest company I've ever dealt with.

I fell into a hardship and got behind on my payments. I was afraid to call for help because I thought they may just jump to foreclosure. I finally called and spoke with Tim and explained my situation. He was so helpful in finding the best solution for me. The specialist that also helped to determine the best course of action for me was very helpful too. Her name is Shyla. I have never had any issues with VMF in the 4 years I have been doing business with them. I am so grateful for their help in getting me back on track.

Please beware of dealing with this company. I’m 100% disabled veteran and they sold me a mold infested home. Not only was the bathroom riddled with mold, but they also sold me a home with the terrible roof that they patched up. I had to pay money out of pocket to fix the roof due to insurance reasons and guess what we find? Rotten wood black mold all over the roof. Stay away from this company and never ever buy a home from them or you will absolutely regret it. They also have Jack legs on Payroll that come by and do patch up repairs instead of actually fixing real issues in the home. Mind you there are pictures from the bathroom that we discovered in March and we had just moved in February. It is now July and we have only been in a home for five months and it is a complete waste and money pit. this has made my family sick and we will definitely be seeking legal counsel for their predatory practices. my family and I are all sick and can’t even live inside the home and are in a hotel but I still having to pay a mortgage and lot rent. This will be the end of this, and I will not stop until they pay for this mistake that they done to the wrong family. “Vanderbilt” is blaming “Greater Texas Home Buyers” and “Greater Texas Home buyers” is blaming “Vanderbilt”.
Edit 8/4/2024: It just gets better and better. Look at what they found in our Ac unit.

Vanderbilt is sorry to hear about the customer's frustration with the home that they purchased on 2/14/24. There was a sixty-day habitability warranty that was provided at the time of purchase to allow time for the customer to get their own inspection. There was a contractor sent out on 3/7/24 to inspect a water leak and a repair was made. Any other repairs or modifications that could have caused further damage were not done by Vanderbilt. We would encourage the customer to give us a call at ************** or email us at c****************com to discuss this further. We hope to be able to resolve this issue if we are able.
