I paid this company $23 for a car wash on 3/13/23. Beginning the next month I have been charged $39.95 each month. They would not refund the money because they said I was using it but the tag # linked to the account was not mine. They have cancelled it now but would not refund the money. They've been charging me for a monthly subscription I never agreed to. Called to cancel it and they told me they would, but the charges keep coming. From a quick ****** Search it seems like there are lots of people experiencing the same issue, which leads me to believe it's intentional malpractice/fraud.Initial Complaint

Fraudulent. An attendant was ******* the payment machine at entry. They enrolled me in a membership when I deliberately asked for a single wash $20 (Im not the kind of person to wash my car often with all our rain in middle TN) and I had no idea until my card was fraudulently charged $29.95 a month later. Calling customer service was an absolute sham claiming they needed to look for the brochure I would have filled out to enroll before they could refund. They record your license plate and admitted to having only let my car through one time. This brochure doesnt exist, no return call, same script of excuses when I called back days later, had to file a claim with my bank and cancel my debit card.Initial Complaint

I opened an account In February 2023 with Wash N Roll located at ******************************************************************************. I called two weeks after opening the account to close it. The woman I spoke with assured me the account was being closed. I noticed in April 2023 that they were still drawing money out of my account and have been for two months. I called the **************** line ************* and spoke with a woman that said she listened to my previous conversation confirming that I did indeed call in February to cancel my account. She assured me that I would be receiving a refund totaling around $50 to my bank account. I have called and spoken with someone twice after that call since I still have not received the refund and it is now May 11th, 2023. Each time I spoke with someone they assured me I would be getting my refund. Now when I call no one answers. I have left voicemails and reached out via their website with no response. They essentially just stole $50 from me and are doing nothing about it. I do not want anyone else to go through this because they clearly do not practice good business.Initial Complaint

I have been a customer of **************** for the last few years as a FAMILY PLAN customer with auto billing on my AMEX account in the amount of $50.00/month. I have found the local on site staff to be courteous and responsive until there was a charge/payment dispute. At that time, local staff [*****************************] informed me that he was not able to address my concerns and he would have his corporate office reach out to me. I provided my name, cell phone #, mailing address and email in addition to the information that he acknowledged he had on record as I had a FAMILY PLAN account. To date, I have not received any communications from "corporate". In September 2022, I visited the Wash N Roll [************, **} location for my last carwash wash before traveling to ******* for the season. I attempted to speak with a person in the office located in the main building to inform them that I would be leaving town for the season and returning in March of 2023. The attendant at the *** station motioned me over to his station. I then informed him that I wished to suspend my account until I returned in March 2023. He informed me that I was paid thru the end of the month. However, he would make sure my account was not charged effective the following month [October 2022]. While traveling through out the season, I noticed that the $50.00 monthly charge continued appear on my AMEX statement. Upon returning to ************,** on March 20th, 2023, I visited the local WASH N Roll location to resume my services and request a credit for the 5 month period of time in which my account was dormant. The attendant on duty [*****************************] accessed my account on his computer, confirmed the account was dormant since September, Wash N Roll continued to charge my account monthly and he would communicate with corporate regarding the situation. On August 12, 2022 my son signed up for a subscription. I cancelled it, in person, on September 7th. I continue to get billed at $34.99/month. They have no record of his account, "so we have nothing to cancel and no ************* you back." I have disputed all of these charges with my bank. Also, they do not report these as "recurring" charges, so each one needs to be disputed individually. Now my son has to cancel his card and replace it. That is the only way, according to his bank, to ensure he no longer gets billed. As a result, he will have to change all of existing accounts, which use his current debit number. There are numerous messages of this type. I'm not a lawyer, but this seems like fraud to me, yet they appear to be getting away with it.Initial Complaint

I made the mistake in Summer of *************** at this newly opened car wash. The young man at the entrance told me about their membership, and I told him I wasn't interested and then he began to tell me that the price I was going to pay for a single car wash, would be equivalent to a monthly membership and that I could get unlimited carwashes during that month and cancel at any time, so what did I have to lose? Very convincing in his pitch and, I couldn't argue so I said "sure", and he signed me up for a membership. Little did I know that membership would cost me $50 on a monthly basis and I have made several attempts to try and cancel it even parking my car outside of the car wash and walking through the gates to the manager inside requesting that they stop taking money out of my account. I don't use their car wash anymore and that I did not want the membership. The car I had registered had been involved in an accident and I hadn't driven in months. They tried to talk me into transferring the membership to another car and I said "no" I wasn't interested I simply wanted to cancel. He said he would cancel the membership and I began watching my account to make sure and I didn't see a payment come out the following month so I assumed all was well. And then I started to see the charge come out of my checking account again, and I have not used a car wash. I can't stand it. It is terrible service and I wouldn't go there, in fact, I've gone to gas station, car washes and received a better car wash service. So this time I went online to their corporate site and it showed you could cancel your membership, and I went through the steps to do that and even got confirmation that the account was canceled. Lo and behold I continue to see $50 being deducted from my account by this establishment, wash and go car wash are criminals as far as I'm concerned. I will warn anyone about them and direct them to the BBB for all the reviews of people having the same issue.Initial Complaint

I signed up for a promotional car wash membership at the end of August or early september. The promotion was $25 for the *** unlimited club. They told me I could cancel online. The membership card says that i can cancel online. I used the car wash 2 or 3 times during that first month. I submitted a cancellation request on there website in mid september. I did not take a screenshot of the request, because I did not realize I would have such difficulties in cancelling. When I saw the charge on my card on Sept 28th I contacted them through the website. They sent me a return email that said I needed to call. Every time I called they did not answer and I did not recieve a return phone call. I have been charged ***** in september and october. I made the cancellation request and they did not cancel. I haven't used the car wash since the first month that I paid for. I called them this morning and they refused to refund my money. They offered me a free month. I do not want to use this service. I feel that is was dishonest to continue charging my card. I was under the impression that I could cancel this online, and that was not the case. I have been charged overdraft fees by my bank. On September 20, 2022, I went to ************* at 928Rivergate Pkwy, ****************************************, I had a coupon for a free car wash. The attendant asked me if I wanted to join the membership program at $49.95 for a whole year. I said no. He said he still needed a credit card even though the wash was free, just in case I changed my mind, and that if I went through again, they would charge me. I never went through again and never did agree to any membership. But then I was charged$49.95. I called the company a couple of times and never got an answer. I emailed the company and told them to cancel any membership they had started for me because I did not authorizeit. I left voicemail messages, and then I called my bank and told them to reverse the charge. The bank gave me a provisional credit and canceled/closed the credit card that **** *** **** had charged. Then my bank issued me a new credit card, whose number it would be impossible for **** *** **** to get. And yet,on October 20, 2022, my new card, which **** *** **** has never seen or had access to, was charged again another$49.95. How they got my new credit card number, I will never know. I have never been back since the day I got their "free" car wash. I want **** *** **** to stop and NEVER CHARGE ME AGAIN. I don't intend to ever even visit that car wash again, let alone have a yearly membership.
